Hi girls. Went to midwife appointment today. Bit disappointed really as my usual midwife wasn't there and i had the one i didn't like from when i was preg before. She is ok really but because i could never get hold of her when it mattered then i have lost my confidence in her abit. Anyway i think it was only temporary. Heard the heartbeat very briefly as he was on the move so much but he kicked the doppler aswell, so i guess i didn't need to hear the heartbeat that much as he did that! Perhaps he doesn't like her just as much as me! Next check is at 28 weeks but i can go back if i need too. I might find a reason so i can see my really nice midwife instead she always gets the heartbeat really easily. Sezzy- I'm wearing the new jeans tomorrow thanks. LOL at my penis in the old ones though! Also going somewhere with my mum tomorrow that i know sells maternity clothes so hopefully will get a nice top to go with my new jeans then i have got a nice new outfit. Pyjamagirl- Is your scan one of those private ones where you get a dvd? I have one booked for 6 weeks tomorrow so we still have those to look forward to. We have booked a gender check with it but i don't know why it was most definitely a little winkie between those legs! Babyno5- God i'm not surprised you have been affected so much by losing your babies so late on. I really can't imagine what you went through so don't worry if you are concerned. I still think every time i go to the midwife she won't find a heartbeat and i had a 8 weeks missed miscarriage. It doesn't matter how many times they tell you that every pregnancy is different you still dread it happening again. But you didn't have the stitch before so it is already looking good for you. When do they say that the stitch has worked for sure then? Oh and forgot to say that i asked my midwife about my leg pain. She thinks it sounds like sciatica and it is where the baby is on a nerve. The only way to try and help it is making sure that i am keeping my posture well at work and not leaning to one side or putting weight on the one leg. Which i do a lot to think of it. But hopefully now i am aware of it i can make sure i try and stand up straight. I have a couple of day off now so speak to you soon. Love Amy. xxxxxxxxx Me- 28 DH-26 Ciaran Jacob was born Thursday 10th July at 10.38am. Weighing 7lb2oz.

Hello Girls and bumps, I have to say girls...i'm slowly loosing the will to live with this site..Is it just me but if I try to log in of an evening it won't let me. So frustrating, i'm trying my best to keep in contact girls. Well dare I say it looks as if the nice weather is finally here. Its been lovely down here in the south today. I'm hoping it will inject abit of energy into me, i'm so dog tired all the time. Baby is moving around lots and lots at the minute and last night I finally found a heartbeat with my doppler, i just laid there sooo still for ages waiting for DF to come home from work as I knew that if I took it off I wouldn't be able to find it again It made him well up....like most things these days. Bless him but I really don't know whats happened to him lately he is so emotional..not complaining its really lovely. Sezzy..you made me laugh about boring people being drunk, I was lucky on Saturday as my friend is nursing so didn't drink either. Think it will be my last night out now. My friend is having her hen party soon also but they are all going to spain for a long weekend..hence why i'm not going. Hope you have fun on yours and at least you will have some pregnancy company with the other girl. As for the essay what can I say..."economic changes in wales" would love to help but apart from pointing you in the direction of google I would have to pass on helping. Good for you though I hate essay writing at least my course is all practical. Ive had one assessment last week and have another on the 23rd April and 7th May (i think anyway) these two will be harder as I have to be filmed having a conversation on a topic for 20mins, I won't know the topic though until the assessment. I didn't realise until after my size 9 truma that apparently its common to go up a shoe size when pregnant. I haven't in the past but I am on my feet all day so maybe thats why and they are quite swollen by the end of it. Amy....Dinner sounded soooo nice. I love sticky toffee pud. well done on maternity jeans purchase. I wear the over the bump ones, my hips are so wide I can never find hipster ones to fit, I find the over the bump ones better for my frame...which is BIG LOL. Like you say you will be able to carry on wearing yours but I won't because its obvious they are maternity. Glad all was well at the midwife...and who is that exactly. I seem to recall seeing some one at the beginning of february but she doesn't want to see me again until the 7th May!!!!! Feel very much like if its not your first baby they don't want to know. Are any of you other 2nd+ timers finding that. Gkad they are looking after you though Amy...so they should be even if it ment seeing the old bint you don't like. Kate...I keep thinking about getting one of those chairs. Sounds like a good purchase. I also find kiddicare.com really good. Have you ordered much from them???? are they reliable??? we have seen a pram we like on their site which we are debating. Hope you are feeling better Kirsten. Was really excited to see your ticker change also as that will be mine tomorrow. You will have to post your 3d pics when you have them. My SIL has just had one done in the states. its so amazing how clear they are. Pj...love the name Grace. I hvae bought girl things so just hoping it is a girl now and they haven't got it wrong. Have kept recepits. Sounds like extention is running smoothly and the house will be back to normal in no time. LIke you I dind't have leg pain etc before with other pregnancies. Hope you are not in too much discomfort. I know what you mean though, when I turn in bed it feels like my pelvis is being riped from the rest of me...NICE Babyno5..... Like Amy has said we can only imagine what you must be going through mentally, do you think it would help to speak to someone, is your midwife any comfort? I hope that after this next week or so your mind will be put at ease slightly, I guess until you hold baby you won't fully relax will you, but again to echo what Amy said this time you have that stitch in place keeping baby firmly where he should be. Sending you cyber hugs (((()))) Angel...where for art thou ?????? Hows your SPD, hope you are managing to cope and are managing to get some sleep. I expect you are in the kitchen cooking up some more homebaked cakes....mmmmmm I really fancy jam roly poly and custard, don't know why thats just popped in head LOL. Right I am hopefully going to post this now and think about what to do myself for tea. I'm all home alone for dinner tonight (me and my meals on wheels image ) I will no doubt not be able to log on again later so will try again tomorrow. They have changed the colours, why not try and sort the problems H@H!!! Hugs Pobs xxxxxxx

hi girls, hope you don't mind me coming on for a moan, but DH is away this evening and I need to vent! What is it with people and manners these days? I had meetings all day in Bristol today which means the packed commuter trains, 7am there, 4:50pm home. On both trains I had to stand for all or part of the way despite having an obvious bump! What gets me down is that on the train home, there was an Arriva Trains Wales staff member, in uniform, clearly off duty though - who was probably travelling for free! Loads of people looked at me then dropped their gaze. I always give my seat up to others - where's the justice?!! Anyway. After a 5:45am wake up, chairing three client meetings and standing on two trains for two hours in total, I'm going to have to pass on personals tonight cos I am knackered and no DH here for tea and sympathy. Sorry for no personals and sorry for my moan. I don't do it too often (I hope!!) but as you can see when I do moan I REALLY moan!!!!!! WHINGE!!! Hope you are all well - more tomorrow, happy then promise! xx

ggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...... This dam site! Just lost my post! Its really starting to get to me now! I will just have to make it quick as i gota leave for work in 10. PJ - Yes, love the anme Grace - thats what we have chosen - i always knew since before i got pregnant if it was a girl i would have Grace, Grace Elizabeth. Pobbins - Great to hear you heard babys heartbeat on doppler (and hubby to) - yes my dp seems to have gone all emotional to recently - but like you said, i love it! (well to a certain exent) i hope he doesnt start to cry at corrie and stuff lol! Amy - Shame about the mw - where i go you see a different one all the time - i havent yet seen the same one! its really bad. babyno5 - dont worry - this is a completley new pregnancy - and like you said, lots of kicking, so thats definat;ey a good sign! As for myself - i have constant heartburn - from the minute i wake up (and feel like im gona be sick with it) to when i go to bed, its awful! The worst thing though - as from probably the start of my pregnancy, i have noticed a pulsating in my ear. Only when its really quiet like when i go to bed - its driving me crazy!!! I think its my heartbeat as when my heartrate goes up it also goes faster and slows down with it! Its sooo bad when im tryiong to sleep - i only realised today that it might be pregnancy related and not just a blocked up ear like i originally thought. Does anyone else have/had this? Gota go to work now, Lotsa Love Kirsten xxx

Hi girls. Wow love the new pink H&H site! Went to town yesterday with my mum hoping to get some nice new clothes. Did i hell! My normal size is way too tight on my tum the size up from that shows my outie! And the maternity stuff is too big. I am so in a limbo stage to big for some stuff and too small for others. Oh well will just have too make do for now until the belly makes some progress. I also spent all the day yanking up my mat jeans so had to buy a belt cause they were pissing me off! Apart from that the shopping trip was good i just bought loads of other stuff to spend out a bit. Got some nice new pj's and a nice hair treatment to do tonight. Pobs- My friend has one of those dopplers and i'm seeing her today i am so tempted to ask her to bring it cause i don't feel like i heard it much at the midwife. I was so disappointed that is the best thing about going to see the midwife. And i know it is there cause he was kicking me this morning so if i can't find it the paranoia will not be there. I don't know if it is any different for your 2nd pregnancy but i see her 23 weeks, 28 weeks then 31 from now. But if i need to i can see her sooner. Sezzy- I don't blame you for having a moan people have completely lost their manners these days. I would always give up my seat for a pregnant woman. Well maybe not at the moment but if she was looked further gone than me i would. Kirsten- Maybe it looks like we have another one whose baby will have lots of hair! Did anyone else find that they had not as much movement in week 23? I had alot of movement at 22 weeks the not so much at 23 now he is getting going again. He kicked loads yesterday and this morning but the week before i was getting really paranoid. I do remember Angel saying her little man went quite for a bit and i wondered if it is about this stage. Ps. He is kicking me right now so i know he is ok! Hope everyone else os ok that i didn't mention. Lots of love.Amy. xxxxx Me- 28 DH-26 Ciaran Jacob was born Thursday 10th July at 10.38am. Afternoon girls, Seems safer to post at this time of day when I get in from school. Amy...sorry you are having clothes problems. My maternity jeams were a nightmare when I first started wearing them, I was forever hiking them up and my work trousers but now belly is bigger they are much better as i'm sure yours will be. As for the doopler...its a lot harder to find the heartbeat than I imagined it would be so don't be disapointed if you can't hear it. The one I have says from 21weeks but ive only managed it this week. Good luck with it. it is sooooo lovely when you do find it. I did find baby went quiet aswell Amy, I think it was around about week 21/22. She is alot more active now especially after ive eaten. Sezzy....Some people are just plain rude arn't they. I can't believe noone gave their seat up for you...I WOULD OF TOO xx Lets hope you have a better end to the week. Kirsten.... Can't say ive had the heart in ear problem although my heart does really race sometimes and it feels like its going to pop out of my chest. I would say go to dr and get him to check your ears hun, it sounds like an infection to me. DF crying hasn't affected his ablity to watch the soaps yet LOL. Ive been terrible though lately....I boo'ed my eyes out at Franks funeral the other night on eastenders...I mean girls...whats that all about LOL AHHHH your ticker is so cute, can't wait for my pic to move along. Waving hello to everyone I haven't mentioned. Hope you are all enjoying sunshine again today where ever you are. Has anyone been suffering with stomach cramps, the last couple of days when ive woken up I have felt like my period was going to start. As the day goes on its fine. Very strange. hugs for now Pobs x

Hi, it's me again! I've just got back from spending the afternoon with my sister and a friend and it has been fab. My sister has bought me all my baby bath stuff. Includes baby bath, top and tail bowl, baby oil, talc, bath thermometer, socks, baby shampoo, dummies, flannels, changing mat, etc. Basically she has spoiled me. Also my friend bought her 7 month old baby along so i have been practising my baby skills which aren't half bad if i do say so myself. I am so looking forward to having a baby of my own now. It has been a really good day though. Pobs- My friend bought along the fetal heart monitor and i'll be damned if i can find it. I can hear the movement and the kicks but not the heartbeat yet. The home ones are just not as sensitive as the ones the midwife gets are they. I'll put it aside though for a couple of weeks and try again and if i still can't find it i'll give it her back. But i know he is fine because he kicks the monitor when i put it on my tummy so i guess it pisses him off a bit. Either way that's my reassurance! Love Amy. xxxxxxxxx Me- 28 DH-26 Ciaran Jacob was born Thursday 10th July at 10.38am. Weighing 7lb2oz.

Hi girls, well I'm feeling much better today after my episode yesterday, I rang my boss last night and told him I needed to work from home today. So I slept till I woke up - 9am!! (DH wasn't there - he'd have woken me at 7am for sure) and I've got loads of work done today whilst remaining really chilled out. I even managed to fit in a swim lunchtime! And happy 23 weeks to me hee hee Off out to my fave Italian with my mum, sis and auntie tonight too - yay! Amy will approve! Pobs, hope your stomach cramps are okay - are they internal or could it be those growing pains, they have a name, I can't remember - the pain comes in bands? Amy, LOL, I can't believe you are only just reaching that in-bertweeny stage, I was there months ago! It doesn't last, your stomach will grow pretty quick now! And hope the sciatica's ok now you know what to do not to aggravate it. Kirsten, your ear sounds REALLY annoying. I occasionally suffer from tinnitis cos I get lots of ear infections from swimming (yucky council pools!) and I know how annoying it can be. Go and get it checked out by the doc incase they can clear it up. Babyno5 - only two days now till the magic 22+2 ,,,,, keeping everything crossed for you but know you'll be fine with your stitch, it has like a massively high % success rate, in the 90s I read somewhere. PJ I feel your pain with the assignment, you might have read I spent all last weekend doing mine and it's still not finished, I've been doing it in the evenings so I'm knackered at the mo. Glad the extension's coming on, sounds liek you're well on track to finish it before bubs makes an appearance! OMG, had some pineapple before writing this and it's given me the worst heartburn I've had so far! Methinks I'll be avoiding pineapple from now on!! It's killing!! Angel - are you back from Manchester yet? How did the motorway driving go? Hi to everyone else - where are you all? We;re missing quite a few of you now! I'm off to London on Saturday for a friend's hen weekend - going to see Dirty dancing and out for a meal (they're all going clubbing, not sure I'll be joining them he he). SO if I don't hav a chance to post tomorrow, hope you all have great weekends xx

Well i am back!! Got home 2.30 pm yesterday after having set off at 10am... M60 was manic so i will not be driving on a friday ever again on motorway!! going there was fine, took me 2 and a half hours.. well chuffed no probs, but it took 4.5 hours coming back.. although i did stop for maccy D's on way back and had an hours rest after sitting in half a miles worth of traffic for an hour..then went to put air in my tyres and the stupid thing was broke... it gave me a flat tyre and no way to pump it up.. can you believe it? so i managed to get a tiny bit back in and limped it to next garage 5 mins away.. it was on 15 and i am supposed to have 35 in it I was so angry.. i did have a good cry and screamed all over the forecourt tho when i thought i was stranded in chester, with a flat tyre, pregnant with 3 tired kids on my own... but we got home in the end!! End of fiasco!!! Saw my brother and pregnant SIL when i got to my nans on the sunday.. OMG, she is huge! Cant remember if i mentioned it on here before, but she is only 32 weeks and she is measuring 42 weeks she saw a specialist during the week and they said there is no way she will have a vaginal birth as when they felt the head its waaaay too big for pelvis, according to scan measurements he weighs 7lb already and they are looking at a 10lb baby when they give her a section at 36-38 weeks!! she gets another scan in 3 weeks to see what will happen. Scary or what? well i read over the last couple of pages about 2 hours ago, had my tea and now i cant remember a sausage!! so i will re-post with personals later or tomorrow, so tired at the moment, my iron levels have dropped right down so thats prob why.. also in constant pain with SPD so sitting on this chair for more than 10 mins is agony.. Hope everyone is well and will catch up soon. Emma and a very active bump!! xx

Hi All, Just crashing your thread to say hi to Pobbins! Hi hun, Hope all is well, read your last thread but not exactly a catch up! There are so many aches and pains during pregnancy i cant remember one from the other to be honest and once baby is here they are all distant memories!! I was worried the motitor would worry you as i have heard the heart beat is really hard to find, my midwife said dont bother as you can feel baby moving to know all is ok, at the time i hated her for being so mean and not understanding that i wanted to listen to baby and know all was ok but now i reluctantly think she was right!! Sophie doing well, weighing in at 10lb 8oz other day and getting little less screamy as she understands more, and realises she can do a bit more like hold her head on her own! Anyway hun, didnt email as its hectic and thought while i was here i would check up on you! Not long now b4 you meet your little girl, soooooooooooooo exited for you!! Lots of love Pinky xx
