Wow - Amy - that's a mad one! Can't wait till I see my belly ripple like that. Hope your DH sees it soon. I love reading your posts and others further on from me to see what I'm in for soon! Smiler I had to start buying stuff now, like you whilst I can still afford it, I'm on a good salary at the mo and the cut in income is gonna be tough!

As for me, just had to buy my first ever bottle of Gaviscon. I've been lucky enough enver to have suffered from heartburn or indigestion before but I'm guessing this really painful burning in my gullet that's been there for 6 hours is heartburn Frowner Ah the joys of pregnancy! Wink I was so pleased to read the words "can be taken during pregnancy" - so much is off limits, I was even told not to use Bonjela the other week! Confused

Spot the person stuck on the PC writing an essay BTW... posting you guys is WAAAY more fun... I'm surprised the sun isn't shining though, I always leave my essay till the last minute and the weather's usually gorgeous when I'm stuck in! Roll Eyes

Hope you are all well.... again..... !! xx

Hi me again!
Off for my Italian in half hour but wanted to check in a say to Sezzy.
I've heard heartburn is a sign that your baby will have lots of hair!

Now i'm really logging off. I'm hungry!

Hi Amy, enjoy your Italian, I love Italian food, so I'll be there to join you in half an hour Wink

Ooooooh - how funny about the heartburn being because the baby will be born with lots of hair. I didn't actually know that, but I'd be shocked if the baby DIDN'T have lots of hair to be honest! Me and my siblings all had loads of hair when we were born and didn't lose it, and my niece was the same. We've all got dominant brunette genes!! Mind you, I am not amused if this means heartburn for another 18 weeks LOL!! Roll Eyes

Thanks for letting me know - and enjoy your food - come on later/tomorrow and tell us all what you had so we can all rush out and get it too!!

Glad to hear everyone is doing good! Just a quick post because my comp is being stupid. Sorry, I didnt post for quite some time. I was really in a rut with being so sick all the time.It was emotionally and mentally tearing me apart and the whole time my ob was telling me I had to deal with it "I'm just pregnant". Well when Im violently throwing up thirty times a day tmi- blood and clots, something is wrong. So I went to my reg doc and he told me to go to the GI doc. I went there and he sent me for some tests and wanted to admit me to the hospital for three weeks because I had'nt eaten more than 200 calories a day since I became pregnant and was starving. I didnt want to do that so I took off some time and tried meds. It ends up I have a tear in my stomach and my lining is gone. So Im doing alot better and able to eat now. The baby is good too. We had a scan a few weeks ago and we are having a girl! Sorry to let down the prediction!lol My next scan is the first week of May. I also am waiting on the results for my triple tests. They haven't called me yet. So monday I'm going to call to see whats going on. Has anyone thought of names yet?
Have a great night!

Oh Meadow, it does sound like you've had a rough time of it. YOur OB doesn't sound very sympathetic or even competent - that's not 'just pregnant'! Still, you're in the right place again. Loads of us are or have been having a rough time of it lately, with SPD, sciatica, Pelvic Girdle Pain and feeling blue and we've all been helping each other along. Anyway, at least you've been sorted out now - good news. xxx

Afternoon Ladies,

How are we all today?????

I'm knackered today..this whole clocks moving forward thing as thrown me, good job I didn't have to get up for work today. One more week then half term WOOOOOHOOOOOO. Can't wait!!! We went out with friends last night which was fun, had lots of of non alcoholic cocktails but was done for and ready for bed by 10, made it to 11 but today feel like Ive been on a hards night drinking and dancing. I was only sat in a cosy bar on a very comfy leather sofa, i'm getting old BOOO Frowner

Medow.....nice to have you back, sounds like you hvae been having a rotten time of late. Congrats on joining me on the pink team. Whats going to happen about your tear???? will it heal itself????? Hope all will be well with the triple test..i'm sure it will be. My in laws live in the states...in Salt Lake city.

Sezzy.....How is the essay coming???? You sound like me I always find other things to do to delay getting stuck in then have a mad panic at the end, bit like at the minute with my signing course LOL. What is it you are studying???? I heard like Amy that heartburn equals lots of hair, although on the flip side I never had heartburn with DS but he came out looking like one of those Troll dolls LOL, thick black hair standing up on end. I didn't know that about bonjela!!! ooops.

Kate, glad the scan was ok and they got all the measurments in the end, this thread has been jinixed with babies not wanting to be photographed LOL. Does Ben understand he is having a baby sister soon???? have you shown him the pictures. My friends dd is 2.5 and carrys a scan picture around with her everywhere its very sweet.

Did I hear you say cakes Angel?????? what have you been baking???? I'm rubbish at baking but louvvvveeee homemade cakes especially banana cake mmmmmm. Hows the braxton hicks today????? its is worrying isn't it. I find they are worse when ive been really active, guess you will just have to rest more young lady LOL sending hugs ((((()))))

How was dinner Amy???? what did ya have???? you are right I hvae looked through the vertbaudet catalouge, they have some lovely things. Gorgeous baby bits too. Our town is usless, I went into town to buy some bits for myself yesterday but couldn't find anything that fit. Our dorothy perkins, debenhams doesn't have a maternity section. I was even more depressed at the fact ive gone up a shoe size....i'm a bloomin size 9 now Eeker Off to Lakeside shopping centre next weekend so can't wait.

Right better go and look at whats happening for dinner tonight, not sure what I fancy today. Will upload some bump pics later....won't be in Pj's as mine are now too tight and won't scare you all by showing off my horrendous stretchmarks and scratchmarks....Nice!!!!

hope you are all having lovely weekends whatever you are doing. Hugs for now Pobs xxxx

Hi Pobs, get you you party girl, you go girl! I don't think you're old for feeling tired today, just pregnant (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it Wink ) Good on you for still having a social life andyway! I've been avoiding nights out like the plague since my last excursion. I'd been in a workshop all day for this course I'm doing (MSc in Economic Development......WHY I ask myself!) and it was the day that Wales beat Ireland in the rugby (and Scotland beat England, which is a cause for celebration for many non-English people, I hate to say) (not me though!!! Big Grin). Aaaanyway, DH had been out with our mates since the game started at 1:15 and I got back from my course at 6pm and decided to join them in the celebrations. BIG mistake. I didn't realise how boring drunk people are and don't get me started on the smelly lager-and-fag breath! I heard the same stories repeated ad nauseum and FAR too close to my nose for my liking! Since then, I've had some people over to dinner and that's been it!! Roll Eyes

IKWYM, it's confusing when those clocks go forward, that hour seems to make such a difference in the day. I'm looking forward to seeing how late it gets dark tonight though Big Grin. Shame about your local shops not having many good maternity sections, though your wallet thanks you, I've gone a bit mad and slightly overbought Roll Eyes but it's all classic stuff and I'll wear it again...... or sell it on ebay..... that's what I tell myself.... Big Grin

The essay's going ok.... slowly.... have already admitted defeat on my plan to finish this weekend, which means doing it after work next week as it's my friend's hen weekend next weekend. I'm normally knackered when I get home from work these days so I'm not amused! If any of you know anything about the nature of economic change in Wales in the last 40 years, send it through PLEASE!! Big Grin And I'd personally like to take responsibility for the sun shining today... I said yesterday the weather's normally great when I'm writing my essay and it hasn't disappointed! Roll Eyes

When do you do your sign language assessment? I'd love to learn it. I watched the Wales England rugby game in our local and there were three lads signing next to me, I was intrigued to know what they were saying (probably "wish that Welsh bint would stop jumping round in the way of the telly every time Wales scores" I wouldve thought!!)

LMAO at your Troll doll comment - my niece came out the same, she looked soooo cute! And size 9 feet Eeker Do feet grow in pregnancy? I'm a size 8 and I already have trouble finding shoes!!

So girls - clocks gone forward - sunset dead late tonight - sun's out - daffs are out - I think we can safely say spring has sprung! Cool Roll on those summer evenings pushing our new babbies in their prams, as Angel would say! Hi to you all!

xx

HI girls.
Anyone feel like an hour has been robbed from them today! Mad
It's crap it will be bed time soon then i'm back at work again!
Anyway Italian was lovely last night. Big Grin
I was very naughty and had spagetti carbonara baked in a skillet with cheese on top. Big Grin
The to polish it of i had a hot sticky toffee pudding with ice-cream! Roll Eyes
Needless to say that i was very stuffed! Eeker
So hopefully i have made everyone fancy an Italian meal now.

Sezzy- Interesting you saying that lots of hair runs in the family that might be true about what i said then! Smiler
Also on the drunk thing. Next week my dh is watching the rugby and going out on the piss so i'll probably stay at my mum's as the alcohol breath is not so nice is it!
But i don't miss drinking at all at the mo more to the point i don't miss the hangover.
What i do miss though is getting all dressed up sexy and going out with the girls but there is plenty of time for that in the future. Smiler

Meadow- What a horrible time of it you have been having. Frowner
Is the stomach thing related to being pregnant the or completely separate?

Pobs- I'm the opposite i hate half term because it means loads of wriggly kids getting ready to come in for haircuts! Mad
Also i popped into town today with dh and in Debenhams in our local town they have a Red Herring maternity not much in their but i bought some lush maternity jeans.
I am still fitting into my normal jeans but they ride down under my bump and i look like i have a penis.
So i thought it was time to purchase the mat ones.
I didn't like the jeans with the pouch though i like the hipster ones so they don't look like mat ones.
I thought they will be good for just after i have had the baby then.
Have your feet swollen up then?

Angel- Where you at today then?

Loving Sezzy's post about pushing our prams on a nice summer's evening that sounds pretty good to me.
Just hoping not to be heavily preg and miss all the good weather cause i'm late!
Lots of love. Amy. xxxxx

Oooh Amy, you make me hungry for my tea! Gonna finish off on the essay for tonight, I've got fresh pasta in the frige for tea, how handy with you giving me the idea!! Sounds lush.

IKWYM, I am not missing drinking one little bit, not at all, but I do miss the dressing up. Never mind, it's my friend's hen weekend in London this weekend and I am going to get seriously dressed up for that!! Am sharing a room with another pregnant lady (don't know her) so we'll both be lighweights together! Think of the problems of 2 pregnant ladies - twice the nasal congestion, twice the number of loo trips in the night - ((((sigh!!!)))))

I got the hipster jeans too rather than the over the bump ones, I love my dark demin maternity skinnies from Top Shop, my non-pregnant friends all want a pair cos they're so comfy!

Angel's gone to Manchester for a few days and won't be back on till later in the week. Gotta give her credit for the original 'pushing prams in the summer evenings' thought - it's stuck in my mind it really has!

Well girls, it's 8pm and it's still not dark - there's only one thing to say...

WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! :-D

Sezzy, my glider chair is one of my best buys, I have the footstool too. I use it every night, Ben and I sit in it while he has his milk before bed and for reading stories. When Ben was younger I'd use it in the day before naps, I still do sometimes. And I'll carry on using it for this baby. I shopped around on the internet and got one with a stool for £99 from kiddicare I think.

Hi guys

Just a quicky from me to say still here! Do not know what is happening with time at the mo - I do not seem to get a minute. I have not had time to read up since my last post so hope I havent missed any major news1 Hope everyone keeping well and will get time for personsals some day - I promise! Wink

I am ok, just been off work since before easter, you would think that I would end up wtih more time on my hands not less so how does that work????? Extension coming on great hoping to have roof on by Monday and I am no where near as stressed as I thought. I have been doing a distance learning course and an assigment crept up on me from no where so I have been bogged down with that for a bit. Its work at your own speed usually but course changing so puts a bit of a time scale on it. I set myself a timetable to get all done of first part to sit exam in october but managed to stall getting cracking!!! Hopefully on track now though!

Read a brief bit about pain SPD type problems. I think I am having same. Have pain where leg connects to boy (?) and also when I am in same position I feel like front of pelvis going to split in two. Even when lying in bed at night. I did not have this with DS so its a new thing although apart from that pregnancy going well so far. Also I do not feel as big as I did with DS so maybe smaller baby on cards (ds was 8lb 7). Got 3d scan on 12th April so cant wait just going to make sure definately a girl before buy anything.

Anyhoo best fly this was 5 mins me time! Back at work tomorrow must get sorted. Been typing at speed so no doubt spelling a disgrace!

Hope everyone else well.

ps on the names front thinking that Grace is back in the lead! However, chances are will prob pick something that isnt even on list! Will think properly after cofnrimation on 12th April.

Take care all

PJ x

ps Am back at work tomorrow so can lurk even though cant post!
