Hi girls. Yeah off for a couple more days now! I can't remember if i said that we are clearing out the spare room ready to decorate soon for the nursery. Well over the weekend the computer came in our bedroom. I put the sofabed and bedside tables up for sale in the newspaper today. When i got home from work today dh had sold the sofabed! My spare room looks totally naked already. But not for long hopefully! Anyone else thinking about their nursery's yet or am i so getting carried away. I'm getting loads of movement now at least every day but he is getting to be a right kicker. Dh can feel him when he is on a roll. I love it! Angel- I'm a dark red at the moment. I'm a natural redhead so can't go too dark or i look ill. But those pics where i am blonde were taken in San Fransisco in Sep 06.( brill holiday!) Me and dh decided to try for a baby when we got back so i think i came off the pill about a week or so after. But i mainly changed my colour because the bloody chlorine in the pools out there dyed my fringe turquoise! That made my mind up to go darker the day after i got back. I much prefer it red it's easier to maintain and much better condition. Hope everyone gets loads of chocolate tomorrow. I have had loads already. Had a lush mar's bar brought to me by the hubby in the bath as i had to have it right then! I dropped the whole thing in the bath but it melted it a bit and was the best mars bar i have ever tasted! Love to everyone. Amy. xxxxxxxxxxx Me- 28 DH-26 Ciaran Jacob was born Thursday 10th July at 10.38am. Weighing 7lb2oz.

Hi, Just got in as ive dropped Abbie off at a friends at the other side of the Island.. and some T055er tried to run us off the road and almost caused a crash.. Ds was on the ball and wrote his plate down, when i got back into town i phoned Dh at work and asked him what to do and he said, "well you know what police are like they aint gonna do anything.." its true.. they never do anything about anything, round here anyway. Amy.. Well done for getting rid of your sofabed! every little helps eh?! No, i am not doing nursery as i said before, only got 3 bedrooms so baby will be in with me and Dh for 1st year then go in and share with Ds after that. They have all been next to me to start with, i think Jordan was about 10 weeks when he went to his own room and he hated it, Both girls were with me til a year old and they settled fine after moving them out. But back to the point,.. I did the nursery for jordan when i was about 5-6 months gone with him, in a lovely bright yellow and blue curtains with winnie pooh print and winnie pooh stick-arounds, it stayed like that until his 6th birthday - poor child!!! I never thought to change it!! So now he has It in Nexts Bug Jam! He loves his cars and bikes! I have no idea how they will get on sharing it as its only a small room, bit bigger than a box room, i think they will need bunk beds eventually! Hair now!! I am a red head aswell! but not red red IYKWIM! I'm more auburn and i dont have red head skin, i tan really easily and dont burn so i guess i am lucky, but i do have freckles on my face! most of my mums side are olive skinned and my nan's dad was a red indian so thats where we get our skin from apparently!! So i am not too bad and can have my hair most colours from black to blonde! but Dh says he likes it when i leave it alone, which i usually do when pg! But because ive been colouring it since i was 12 its pretty resistant and always ends up after a few weeks back to almost my natural colour- even when its got a permanant on it.. anyway... Michie.. You will NEVER catch me up! no matter how hard you try lol!!! its hard to believe some days i'm actually 25 weeks, i am now getting hacked off with the 'how long you got left?' conversations with the busy bodies around about, and ive grown out of a lot of my maternity clothes i bought a denim mini to wear with my leggings last saturday and ive had to take it off after an hour today as it was crushing me, the only comfy thing i have that fits properly is my over bump jeans..they are lush! all my (maternity) tops apart from one t-shirt are now exposing the bottom of my bump and it gets a bit chilly. I find under bump stuff very uncomfy unless its non maternity joggers,.. and they are getting tight across my bum.. babyno5.. look forward to catching up soon! well i'm feeling pretty stuffed now.. just eaten a big back of chips, which i must say i didn't enjoy.. and a gingerbread bunny and 2 big glasses of milkshake.. so, yes, i think i overdone it again!! Baby has moved position again and is really quiet again today, but then again i slept most of the afternoon.. started having to have that afternoon nap again, i'm just zombified if i dont. SPD killing today.. so trying to keep my legs together!! wont be on again now til tomorrow night, my dad is over tomorrow and doing a roast pork dinner, will try not to eat too much chocolate as i dont want my sugar going stupid and getting told off by MW!! Emma. x

angel...ive already started with the maternity trousers! well, just one pair of trakkie bottoms that go half way up my back lol!! it nearly meets my bra! dp is sooo amused by them lol!! they are sooo comfy. i tried a bigger size in normal trakkie bottoms, but they were huge around the bum!! thats why i got the maternity ones. i still wear the same tops for now, as they fit around my bump. i do need a whole set of new bras though, as mine went up a whole cup size. The joys of pregnancy eh?!?! scan next sunday to find out the sex. im a bit doubtful they will find out this early, but the clinic assures me they can find out from 11 weeks onwards...so ill wait and see. Ive a strong feeling its a girl though, but i could be wrong! hi to amy and pobs....glad to know everyone is doing well, i hope your leg is better pobs xxx

Hi all!! ((((((WAVES))))))) Well done to Amy and Angel for keeping the thread warm for us, with help from Kate and Kirsti too of course. Blumming heck, even Michie's managed more posts than me LOL!!! (Michie - chuffed for you you're 12wks BTW, good on yer. Jut remembered the joy I felt when I hit that milestone, which was a nice memory to remember). Aaanyway, I have a great excuse for being AWOL, I've been in Venice! Last time I'll fly for a while as DH remonded me! I'd liek to say it was a cosy trip for two but we went wiht the in laws. Still, it was truly fab and very relaxing. It is vying for position for my all time fave city at the mo. Got back really late Thurs night, then shopped and cooked Fri for a four course curry meal for 8 of my friends Sat. Sat was more cooking, though we did squeeze in a trip to a pram shop (more on that in a bit). Then today, had my parents and grandfather here for Easter dinner. Am not getting the hang of this taking it easy lark! And to top it all off, it looks like I have sciatica! That's what my GP friend reckons. It feels like toothache all up and down my right leg and in my foot. I have been getting to sleep some crazy times and only sleeping for a couple of hours cos the pain is stopping me drifting off. This can't be good for me. Am gonna see the GP on Tues, not that it does much good, they can't give you anything anyway can they?!! It's all very well not sleeping when it's the Eater hols but i'm already dreading going back to work Tues having not slept. On a brighter note, I am sat here munching an Easter egg, first time in 10 years cos I normally watch what I eat We had a look at prams for the first time Sat, as I said. I want one with a single straight-across handle and it has to be adjustable for 5'8" me and 6'5" DH, which actually means a surprisingly limited choice. And I want it to be lightweight, as I know loads of people that have spent £500 or whatever thinking their pram/pushchair will last till their baby's three, only to have to buy a buggy when they're a year old cos they're so heavy to push. I think we'll be going for a Bugaboo Cameleon. Like the rest of the world it seems, as they're everywhere, but it's got a proper telescopic single handle, is very lighweight, folds down small and will be good for us in the city but also when we go walking (which we do quite a lot so we need something all-terrain). It's blumming expensive though, I found a shop in Newport where they have a 2007 pushchair/carrycot etc for £585 - on the internet they're on the 2008 model and they go for more like £650!!! But in my mind, I won't have to buy a buggy in a year's time so I'm making a saving there ha ha ha Our nursery's taking shape, it's painted and we've carpeted it and the rest of the upstairs now. I've done it in white, and I'll put some primary coloured pictures up and bright curtains and rugs. It's tiny though. We got a great wardrobe bargain in Ikea, it's only 50cm wide but 238 cm high and in there we've managed to squeeze two shelves, two hanging rails and four drawers. Am so chuffed cos I didn't think we'd get much storage in the tiny little room. Also, bought just enough newborn clothing from Asda to last the first couple of weeks, it was really cheap and I don't want to buy a load of stuff cos I don't know what I'm having and I'd rather wait till the baby's born and buy the appropriate colour stuff then. Am I mad do you think?? I have a Tesco's a Mothercare and an M&S about 10 minutes drive away from me so I thought I would wait till after the birth.... Just had a look at the bumps on MSN, can't believe the variation in sizes! I've got some bump pics to post but I cant find the lead for the camera. LOL though, you lot all modest holding your tops up, Ive been getting my pics done only in my undies, what a hussy!! Anyway, I hope you are all having lovely Easter weekends. Am quite enjoying being on the PC as am sat on a dinig room table so it's keeping me upright and seems to be easing the sciatica. Angel, you're right, we are all falling apart I think but you did make me smile and well up at the thought of having a little baby to push in a pram on a summer's night. I can't wait for that. xxx

Hi girls. Hope everyone had a good easter and ate loads of chocolate i know i did! Went to my mum's and dad's last night for tea and they managed to feel my little man kicking. Lucky he was on a roll whilst i was there. Just was lying on my sofa and i swear i can see my belly moving a bit when he kicks now! Angel- On the nursery thing. My little man will be in with us for a while but i want the nursery done so it is somewhere nice to chill and keep his clothes and nappy changing and that. We may aswell do it while we can afford to and not when i will be on the measley £117 that stat maternity pay gives you. I was thinking about keeping him with us until about 6 months but that one will be whatever suits him. Oh and now you have done it i fancy gingerbread now! Michie- Hi glad to hear you are doing well. I can't believe they can find out the sex that early either but it will be interesting to see if they can. Sezzy- I am soooooooooo jealous i would love to go to Venice. Just for the food. I am a pasta freek so i would love it there i think! Glad you are on the case with your nursery too. I thought it would be an easy job clearing our spare room out but it has been a mammoth one. We had to go down the tip today to get rid of some stuff it filled our car up. Our spare room is quite big too so it looks bare now, just a couple of bedside cabinets to go and we can get painting. Pobs- Where are you then you are doing your disapearing act again hope everything is ok? Well i'll be getting the dinner on soon so better go. I fancied Mr.Kipling's apple pie, so me and dh bought some in the shopping so i am looking forward to those for dessert. Warm with custard maybe? Love Amy. xxxxxxxxx Me- 28 DH-26 Ciaran Jacob was born Thursday 10th July at 10.38am. Weighing 7lb2oz.

Helllooooooo there everyone!! Well ive had a really lovely relaxing weekend.. NOT!! These kids are driving me mental.. i know its not their fault, they are just bored. But it just leads to waaaay too many fights, sooo, let me remind all of you who are on your 1st, or 2nd come to that, make the most of it!! As much as they are a blessing and amazing little miracles... they really do get you pulling your hair out at times!! Aw, i sound bad dont I?!! never mind! Sezzy...Yay! I thought you had left us! Listen to you bombing off to Venice! you lucky thing! I'll be lucky if i manage to get to Manchester for next week!! Very jealous though, a i think its prob one of the few places i'd like to visit! I'm like Amy, i love my pasta, mmmmmm, so would suit me fine. Glad its not just me finding it difficult to get a pram with the height, only think is i dont have hundreds to spend so the choice is even more limited for me... I'm going to wait a few more weeks til my grant comes through then go have a proper look, i hate shopping when i cant spend! As for the lack of sleep, its becoming a huge issue for me aswell, i struggle to get comfy even with all my cushions, and Dh getting up every few hours for paracetamol for his toothache, then my never ending trips to the loo, so i just give in in the end... I was up at 4.00am again this morning eating sugar puffs and watching from here to maternity and birth stories...went back to bed at 5.30am - can't say i was tired but know i need to try..Its all good practice for the coming months eh? well done with the nursery! Amy... I agree, its best that you get the nursery sorted now then you dont need to worry about it after, i used to just go and sit in Abbies nursery while i was pregnant and look at her clothes and just dream about her!! she never even went in the nursery.. she was born in the January and we moved out in the August, so she stayed in our roon in this house after we moved in while we did the nursery up, so she was 10 months old when she finally went into her own room, and then i found out i was pg on Jordan 2 weeks later! Crazy! Did you get your ginger bread?! Mmmm, hot apple pie and custard! Its weird how as soon as we read something someones eaten on here we have to have it!! I was reading about a trifle on 2WW.. and i had to make it yesterday, i'm not even really a trifle person either.. but it was lush!! Only mine didn't have a tin of weight watchers beans in it!!! If you stalk the 2WW you will know what i mean! well, i need to go now as i can only sit at this desk for a limited amount of time..it hurts, and ive yet to look for a birthing ball somewhere on net so i can sort my posture out and this babies position!! hello to everyone else, pobs.. are you ok? back later maybe.. Emma. x

Hi all, get me, twice in two days, I'm trying to catch up!! Angel - LOL at your Abbie's nursery story, I reckon we decorate these nurseries for us and our nesting instincts anyway, rather than for the babies LOL! I'm currently happily browsing the Mothercare catalogue looking at all the nursery ranges(well, I'm not, I'm typing this, but I WAS browsing the Mothercare catalogue!). Why is everything pastel?? I hate pastel colours!! Think I'm going to have to get over that pretty quickly! M'care do a nice Fun at the Zoo range which is nice and bright, so I might go for that. You organised lot have made me feel like I need to go buying! Looked in a few more pram shops today and on line and the shop in Newport we went to on Saturday is defo the best deal on the Bugaboo - £585 for the carrycot & pushchair plus some accessories - with cosytoes, car seat etc on top of that. Ouch! But I did give up my sports car in January so that we could afford things when it came to it. And this is at least £50 cheaper than all the other Bugaboo stockists, including on line. So I think we might be going for it! Angel, I saw a Mutsy 4 Rider Light today, which had a proper telescopic handle (REALLY high), a pushchair seat that goes both ways and 4 wheels - have you seen it? Comes in some groovy colours too. The carrycot's fab, it's really high up on the frame. It's in the Oxford Pram Centre website for £370... if you haven't made your mind up yet? Though I think you're set on the M&P Pliko one aren't you? anyway, happy shopping when your grant comes through! Amy, what are you like, I'm after apple pie now! Haven't got any but I think there's some apple crumble in the freezer. Mind you, I feel sick from all the choc I've been eating, yuck! Defo back on the veggies tomorrow. IKWYM about the amount of junk you can keep in a spare room - it's mad isn't it?! And I'm dead jealous that your movements can be felt by others - I'm dying for DH to feel Beanie move, but he hasn't yet - should he be able to by now?? You're not that far ahead of me so should I be worried?? Mind you, you're tiny and apparently that means you can feel movement more doesn't it? The kicks have got to come through my layer of fat first LOL!! BUt I keep grabbing DH's hand cos the kicks are so strong inside me now and he still can't feel them grrr. BTW, I just posted some bump pics on MSN, haven't scanned my scan pic yet if you see what I mean. Hi Baby No5 - you'll be back on tomorrow so I hope your weekend was cool. Hi Kate, hope your mum spoilt you rotten and gave you lots of choccie, or was it all for Ben? Kirsti, hope you're getting out of the down inthe dumps and Kaihden is settling. IKWYM, we should be happy and blooming but it's impossible to maintain that permanently, specially in your case with Kaihden being unsettled and me and my sciatica (and the rest of us that are falling apart!) As Angel said, just focus on those lovely summer evenings, strolling with your boys... roll on the sun and why is it so cold?!!! NOt long till the clocks go forward and we can all get over our S.A.D...... Pobs, Meadow, Jessley, Ulareadykno, PJ, Kirsten - where are you all?? HOpe you all had fab Easter weekends xx
