Hi Kate, welcome, hope your stay is a long one. I just got to 8 weeks and had that horrible AF feeling they say you might get when your period would be due so that was horrible thinking I was about to start but touch wood everythings fine. ( I had two early miscarriages before this pregnancy so its scary isn't it).

Boobs got sore again last night and this morning so all good signs and a slight feeling of nausea now and again that I don't remember getting with the girls. (boy???). Well i guess I'll find out in good time, I have been putting all of Brias stuff away and giving it to my cousin in batches as her baby is 6 weeks now and if it is a girl then it will all come back, if a boy then some of the baby gros and some other bits can come back but boys clothes now are so great. When Liam was born 12 years ago, we couldn't really get anything nice for him when he was a baby (cool stuff), it was just unisex type stuff. Another thing was last night my friend gave me a pot of homemade piccalilli and I nearly ate the lot, it was so yummy and with Liam, I ate raw potatoes and raw spaghetti and with the girls, it was sweets and desserts. Hubby would love another boy to even up the numbers a little but he says he thinks its a girl, he wouldn't mind whatever. Bria (and Cara) can wrap him round their little fingers.

Names at the moment are Lola for a girl and Callum for a boy. Anyone else got any ideas.

Mums birthday today so shall see her later to give her gifts.

Cara has gone to see Robin Hood in panto at Salisbury today with the school so she doesn't have to be picked up till 5.30pm. Looking at the calendar all the time, the kids are so busy at this time of year. Very busy next week.

Hope you are all well and look forward to hearing from you busy mums.

well hello everyone..!!
Been really hectic yesterday and today, so not been able to catch up til now..(its just took me 2 hours to read all new posts, i'm a stalker on the ttc thread!! only coz im nosey!)

Firstly welcome to newbie Kate, hope you enjoy the next 8 months on here with us all!

Amy, sorry i x posted you in my last post, glad you have decided to come on the board now and hope you and beanie settle in well! It is a worrying time in the early stages when there are no problems, but to have bleeding etc must be so hard for both you and Pobs, and i'm sure i can speak for everyone on the thread, 2ww inc.. we are all really really rooting for you both and our in our thoughts all the time!

Trad., is that a bit of sicky im picking up on!! oh my, and from the one who dont get sick!! I read some where that sickness in pg is all in the mind... i dont think so; its probably a man that wrote the report...
As for names i reaslly am not too sure, i just dont seem to be able to decide on the sex let alone anything else.. Lola is nice, i like that one but Dh said no way, and then Dd started singing the theme tune to charlie and Lola.. that kind of put me off!
As for names i will keep it hush hush, only because as soon as i mention a name i like it always seems to be used, so i wont be doing it this time! remember!! we do have lurkers from other threads due before us!! (i'm not nuts really! Wink)

Well Dh is home now, covered in oil and looks like he has a black eye, (taken the engine apart on his car!) also kids gotta be bk in school for 5.30 for the evening performance of the school concert.. so i best get cracking with tea!

so hello to everyone i not mentioned, pobs especially!!! get on this thread girl!!!

will try get on and do more personals later on.

((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))
to everone,.

laters,
Emma. x

Evening Girls,

Thank you for all the well wishes. It has been a really emotional time so have avoided getting to attached to anything pregnancy related up until now. Had another big bleed on friday but had a scan on Monday and all was ok, baby wiggling about...be it still ickle. Nice strong heartbeat so fingers crossed.

I'm afraid it will take me a while to remember everyone etc so won't attempt personals tonight....eyes very heavy!!! Glad to see you all progressing with those beanies.
This will be my 3rd baby but DF 1st so he is very excited. i have a dd9 and ds11 and i'm due on July 13th..will be 10 weeks on Sunday, ticker slightly out but haven't had chance to change it.

Have had a terrible craving for tuna and wine gums...not together. Can't stand bread...the smell of it makes me wretch and I have been doing alot of that!! Also can't drink tea or coffee. Last week sickness was awful but doesn't seem that bad this week..find little and often helps.

So for those still awake thats a little about me.
Look forward to getting to know you all better in the coming weeks...personal soon promise.

Off to bed now, very tired as i'm sure you all are too.
Love Pobs xxxx

Hello ladies - hope you are all well!

sorry I've been off the face of the earth, I was away on the weekend and then we had to disconnect and move our PC to get the room it was in plastered. All back on though and even better the house might be tidy for Christmas!

So... you all seem to be doing really well (apart from MS/ADS, sore BBs, cramps, spotting and moodswings lol!) Angel - GGRRRR to the person who said MS is all in the mind! Defo a man, there is no way this is in my mind.

Amy and Pobs - so cool that you're posting on this thread, must be such a nightmare to go through, glad you're being well looked after and seeing the beanies and their heartbeats to reassure you.

Trad - love your names, specially Lola, that's really pretty. I'm sorta with Angel about not revealing mine, but there's a counter argument that says get in there quick incase anyone else has the same idea!!! Anyway, my girl and boy names are Welsh ones which hopefully narrows down the chances of anyone having the same idea???

Really interesting about every1's ideas about what sort of birth they want, as a newbie that helps me work out what I want and standing up sounds like the way forward! I'd like a home birth but DH wants to be close to the Drs in case of emergency (plus I don't think he could deal with the mess in the house - he's such a clean freak he'd be running round me with a mop and cloth LOL!). we've got some time to work it out anyway.

Happy belated birthday ualreadykno - can't believe you're still having the weird dreams, bless!

Kirsty, bet you're dead excited about christmas with your son. I must admit that's what I am looking forward to too - Christmas is loads better when there are kids to share it with. So pleased me and Lisa have another due date buddy!

How are you Lisa? Hope your morning -or all day - sickness is under control.

Jess - good news about the home birth and LOL at you having to cut your post short to eat! Just like me, eating constantly comes first!

Last but not least HI KATE!! (((((((((((waves)))))))))) Hope your stay is lengthy and incident-free. You're our first PROPER August mum after we switched from a July only thread - there's Lisa, Kirsty and me who are around 1 or 2 August but you're a full-on August mum! Sunny days! Hey, gotta be a good omen that this beanie's due around the same time as your son? My auntie had blocked fallopian tubes and took 8 years to have DS1, then m/c a few times before having DS2 a week later than DS1 (well 2 years and a week but you know what I mean) - so fingers crossed for you too.

So uh - who have I forgotten? It's only been a week since I've been on and it's all gone out of my head Confused HI to PJ, where are you hun? Sorry if I left anyone else out!

I'm doing good, symptoms getting stronger, am 7 weeks today (think ticker's a bit out) and the MS is so strong now, specially in the mornings but in the evenings too. Hubby keeps saying stuff like " but it's bedtime! WHy are you eating now??" like I have a choice about it lol! He's being fab though, brings me branflakes in bed and if I take a few mouthfuls before sitting up (lots of milk on the duvet lol!) I can just about get the bowl down without retching. Last night had our team Christmas dinner, only a few of us so I was really under the spotlight for not drinking, boss kept saying "are you PG?" specially when I complained about a strong smell that no-one else could smell. he's got lots of kids so guess he knows the signs. I couldn't tell him though, want to wait for the 12 weeks, but I hated looking him in the eyes and lying Frowner

Aaanyway, that's me caught up, phew! Back soon LOL

hey everyone

just a quick five minutes before the beast wakes.

Very quiet on the forum alround, everyone must be really busy with christmas. Gosh it was cold here last night, went up the school at 515 to pick up cara from panto and the coaches didn't arrive till nearly 6.00, then we had to wait to sign them out, it was pretty chilly but Bria loved seeing all the houses with the pretty lights on the walk home.

Well it won't be long till we have hit the 12 week mark (oh hurry up won't you) and then a lot of you will have the ms drying up hopefully. It just sounds awful.

My kids know about the baby but I have asked them to keep it a secret till 12 weeks so we know everything is alright with this one but I think its leaked slightly. Someone up the school asked if I was pregnant and I really didn't want them to know. There is a cliche of mums who I try to keep away from (gossips and know alls) and I can imagine the tongues waggling and clicking commenting on how old I am (37). With my daughter coming upto 18, I have been going up that school for a long time and when I was younger, I felt intimidated by them but now I can see them for what they are. We don't have much money and things are pretty tight sometimes but we always manage and we all love each other and the kids are great but all they talk about is how many utility rooms or breakfast bars or even houses they have, they change their cars every three months to try and outdo each other and none of them see their husbands cos they have to work away to pay for it all so all in all, I'm the richest one. Sorry rant over. God that felt good.

anyway Bria has just woken so off to make some hot buttery toast for us.

Hi girls.
Just got back from the doctor's she wants me to book in with the midwife to make it official and to get a 12 week scan date through.
I'm still a bit dubious but i suppose i need to get the ball rolling and hope that everything will be okay.
Felt sick to my stomach yesterday until about 1 then ate a load then the sickness came back in time for tea and i felt sick again.
I haven't been sick but just the thought of it is in the back of my throat.
Not suffering much this morning but a really stinky woman in the doctor's nearly had me wretching! Mad

Pobs- Yeah you are here! We should refer to ourselves as the drama twins if there is any problems or scares to have during pregnancy we have had then. Roll Eyes
Well i've decided i don't want anymore and want a completely normal relaxed pregnancy. (who am i kidding it's never going to happen!)

Tra- I'm a felt a bit better when you said that you have had af type feeling as i am due af this weekend and have had a few twinges not like a period pain but somethings there.

Angel- Have you a 12 week scan date yet i can't find that you have. Smiler

Hope all you other girlies are having stress and hassle free pregnancies and the sickness is not to bad.
Has anyone else been really bloated like they have got wind all the time?
I was saying to Pobs it is so unlady like not just little lady one's but manly rip-roarer's then a sense of amazing relief!
Whoever said that pregnancy was beautiful!

Lots of Love. Amy.xxxx

Kirsti- We crossed posts.
Don't worry about not seeing anything at your last scan i'm surprised they scanned you so soon.
My hospital wouldn't scan me until at least 7 weeks even then it is quite small but i could see the heartbeat more than the baby!
Also i couldn't see much through the tears i was a right cry baby it was amazing.
So don't worry it's probably fine and growing away, at your next scan you will be able to see a heartbeat definealty.
I am exited so for you.
I think until that 12 week scan everyone is a bit scared of what might happen but have got to try to relax.

Trad - sorry - thought you had a scan yesterday for some reason. Confused Musta been me wishful thinking on your behalf! Soz about the witchy women in your school. Up theirs anyway, you've got the beautiful happy family and they're jsut jealous and trying to fill their sad little lives with material posessions Mad Plus, 37's not old, specially for your 5th (??), not even for your first these days! Think of all those celeb mums - Madonna, Cate Blanchett etc who were about your dap or even older!

Kirsty, know what you mean about the personals, having been off the board for a week I'd already lost track of what was going on with who (I think I'll blame the hormones for making me a pebblehead, although deep down I know I am always a pebblehead! Roll Eyes) But I switch between my message and the board and scrolled up and down the board to make sure I got everyone LOL!!

Amy, if it makes you feel better, I'm getting cramps loads at the mo. TOTALLY normal apparently, it's our uteruses (sp?) stretching. Lol at your windy pops. Me too. I told DH that it's a common side effect of PG and he said "Huh? I won't notice the difference with you!" lol. I've always liked my veggies and beans Wink

Ahhh - it's good to be back! 'See' you all later ladies!!

Ah, its so lovely and crisp out and clear blue skies... i love it like that!!
Anyways,
Hello everyone I'm sensing a lift in mood on the board the last few days, or is it me?

Kirsti, well i dont know about anyone else but the only way i remembered everyone for personals in the begining was to write everyones names down, but ive got used to it now and feel like everyone is in my extended family.. well its gonna feel like that by July, lol..
dont worry about your scan i think i was 7+3 when i had mine and all you could see was heartbeat and bit of a bean shape, i have had one at 5 wks with other pgs and i think all there was a sac and pole?? dont think there is much to see b4 7 wks,

Amy,.. Hi, its really nice to have you posting regular now, yes i have my 12 wk scan on tuesday (18th) so i'm really excited.. can wait for my picture and then i will be constantly staring at it.. its at 3.40 so will be a mad rush as kids not out of school til 3.25 and Dd is ALWAYS last out so she will have to be warned that if she isnt 1st out then i'm going without her!!! (i wouldn't really!!)

so i will also find out what is going to happen with the cyst aswell, for anyone who dont know i found out i had a 7cm cyst on my right ovary at the 7 wk scan, if it gets any bigger i have to have it removed after 14 wks, but as there is a slight risk to pregnancy i am praying with all my heart that it has shrunk or gone away.. please.

Pobs.. I feel so stoopid now, it took me ages to understand what you meant and i honestly didnt realise you had children already.. sorreey, i will change your details nxt time i do the chart hun,
I'm still totally off my tea not so much a coffee drinker anyway as it gives me migraines, but i usually drink tea constantly all day, go through a box of pg tips a week, blimey!! well with 3 hyper kids its what keeps me going all day! I have to say though, i LOVE bread when i am pregnant, although i dont normally eat white as it makes me feel so bloated so i'm normally a wholemeal/granary person but cant eat it.. i love fresh white par-baked baguettes warmed in oven with butter on ..mmmmm, lush.
Keep positive Pobs, its looking good for ya gal!

sezzy,.. Lol with the names, all my friends are welsh so their kids have welsh names mostly.. obviously! well the little monkey i am babysitting today is called Cari Haf.. then my other friends Ds is Llion Wyn.. but mine will be English, although the MIL would love a little welsh named grandchild i'm sure! but as far as i'm concerned you are pretty safe there i dont think there is any chance of us doing the same name thing!!!!

Trad... Brrrrurgh, yep pretty chilly here too, i said to Dh last night, "are you sure that radiator is hot coz i am freezing," so like an idiot he puts his hand flat on it.. i wont repeat what he said but yes it was on and VERY hot .. Lol..
I know what you mean bout snobby know it alls that have 3 cars and detached 5 bedroom houses down the new estate.. got them here aswell, ive never really mixed with the other mums really just stuck to the same few that are in ther same 'league' as me..! skint!!! I dont care though, family is more important than material possessions like someone else said!

Pj, LILYSUE, Jessley, ualreadykno and kate, hope you are all keeping well and busy preparing for xmas!

mind is beginning to go blank and kids will be barging in through the door in about 5 mins, so i shall now have to go...prepare myself for attack!

Sezzy- Thanks for the reply it's very comforting to hear people saying they get crampy. I didn't when i lost the first one so anything not like that time is positive i suppose.
And thank god i'm not the only windy one on here! Roll Eyes

Angel- Oh my god tuesday how exiting! I have a picture from my 7 week scan and keep looking at that one so a 12 week one is not going to get put down for a second! Big Grin

I spoke too soon about the sickness i wretched this afternoon couldn't decide whether to eat or not but it doesn't seem to make any difference whether i eat or not and i want to stay healthy.
Opposite to you pobs all i can eat is crusty or crunchy stuff like bread rolls or crisps.
Back to work tomorrow so i'm won't be on for a couple of days.
My ticker will say at least 8 weeks by then!

By the way i was looking over the jul thread and nicnevan hasn't posted for ages. Has anyone heard from her?

Lots of love again!
Amy.x
