Hello again!

Ualreadykno, it is going quick isn't it! i look at the posts of others on here then see they are only 6weeks or so and i think, omg, i dont ever want to be there again, i couldn't cope with being so ill EVER again! This truly is my last baby!

Well only 10 more days for me and i get my next scan, cant wait! its still not really sinking in, and i think somedays its not real, i'm not as big as i was last time at this stage but then i'm not quite as skinny as i was after the 2nd, my belly went flat straightaway after the 1st, not as quick after no.2, but after the last one my stomach muscles had well and truly gone, i have a 1.5 inch space between my stomach muscles.. if i lie flat and then do a semi sit up i can get 3 fingers in the space!!! ok, so you don't really wanna know this but, well, i had to say it..!
So before i got pg i was inbetween a size 10 and 12 so i will see now if i ever get back there again! hopefully hardcore breastfeeding will do the trick!!

Has anyone else thought about what sort of birth they'd like? I would've liked a homebirth but dont see it happening with my experiences with retained placenta and now with the cyst.. I think i would be better off at hospital as i am pushing (excuse the pun!!) for a natural 3rd stage, and if any MW lays a finger on MY placenta i will shoot them!!! i dont see there being any higher risk than if they tug on my cord, snap it and have me not deliver my placenta..then get it MANUALLY removed.. TMI i know, but i shall leave it at that, i know that the health and emotional benefits are well worth the try, people don't realise they actually have a choice when it comes to 3rd stages..

ive just spent an hour reading something, and forgot i hadn't posted this msg..!! Roll Eyes

well enough from me, hope everyone else is well, i'm going to get kids to bed now then go myself! its nearly 8.00, dear me!

Emma. x

My last two births were home births and I am having another one although I will be doing thorough checks with the midwifes this time round as all the bottles of medication I had to keep in the fridge hadn't been checked and were empty. (injection for me to make placenta come away easier and vitamin k for Bria). As a result, placenta wouldn't come away and it took over an hour and they were just about to call an ambulance and get me into emergency surgery as my cervix had nearly closed, when it came out finally, and I noticed on my labour notes (i had them photocopied) that they said I had received it. Bria had to have her injection in the afternoon plus in the home birth pack the ressussitator (spelling) was missing and someone had to rush out and get one but having said all that, I still prefer home births. Cara wants to be there again, (she cut Brias cord) so thats nice.

Have a good sunday. I am making roast beef and yorkshire puds today. yummy.

Speak later.

Hi Trad,
They do say to give up to an hour for the placenta to come away if you dont have the injection.. but very scary not to have the stuff there in the 1st place, you never know whats going to happen, and with the vit k thats awful, well, dangerous really isn't it... omg.

I know its not everyones cup of tea having a different birth etc, but we all do what we feel is best for us and our babies! I do admire you for being able to have a homebirth, i think its lovely.
My mum had my sister at home 10 years ago.
I will see how things go.

well i'm having a very lazy sunday indeed, still in Pj's.. i have to go out now tho and get packed lunch stuff for kids tomorrow.. can't be bothered and its horrible out. Frowner

Hope you enjoy/ed your roast! I'm not fancying must today..just chicken salad again!

Hope everyone is is enjoying their sunday,
Another new week begins tomorrow- nearly christmas!

bye bye for now,
Emma. x

hey all,

well today is my birthday and that's cool except for the fact i don't really have an appetite. usually i look forward to cake and going out to eat but i'm still trying to think of what to tell my mom i want to do about all that. she will deff. find it strange if i don't wanna eat anything. usually get chinese but don't think i can stomach that....

last night i had a dream i had twins. wow but i've been having really strange dreams lately.

i've been thinking about what kind of birth i want also. i want to do all natural. i also want to be standing up because i don't want to get an episotmy (or however you spell it) and i've been reasearching and it says if you're standing or squating you have a much less chance of having to get that since the pressure from the babies head is all even and not pushing down so they have to cut it. i deff. don't want to be laying down and pushing because i na book the lady said its like trying to "take a s*** while laying down." i just don't know if i'll have to get a special doctor to stand up? hopefully not. i'm not letting them break my water i'm letting it all happen naturally (unless there's a problem). hopefully all goes well.

well hope you ladies all have a nice day

Happy birthday ualreadykno. hope you had a nice day. Just tried out somethings for christmas day, brussel sprouts in sage and butter, it was really nice actually so I will do that on the day. Looking for a nice dessert at the mo. nobody here really likes christmas pud so it looks like a frozen pud from iceland at the moment. some of them look gorgeous. Doing dinner for nine this christmas day at the moment.

Good morning Ladies, hope everyone isn’t too sick today! Big Grin Will start with a few personals…

Ualreadyknow – Happy belated Birthday for yesterday! Big Grin Sorry you are feeling so sick at the moment…I too had a slight brown discharge which was really only there when I wiped but have been assured it is normal. Am not with you on the going fast as I am only 6 weeks 3 days and feel like have been pregnant forever but will probably be like you and wake up one morning and be like what 8 weeks! Roll Eyes

Emma – glad your sickness is coming to an end and you can enjoy eating again! Thanks for doing the chart for us all! Only ao days til your next scan how exciting! Can’t wait til its my turn! Smiler

Amy – am so glad to see you on here and even happier things are going well. Big Grin I hope all goes well for Pobs to and she joins us after her scan. Wink

Kirsti – Yeah!! Another due date Buddy, you are due on same date as me! You must have oved late due to your Pcos and this is why you are earlier than thought. As girls have said would definitely be too early for heartbeat so try not to worry… Smiler

Tra – How lovely about your previous homebirths, I too would love one but as this is my first child will definitely be a no-no for me although if they let me would def be up for it. I would like as natural a birth as possible (says she whos never been through labour! Roll Eyes) but I am openminded about it!!

Morning sickness not too bad for me at the moment although I have had a few choice moments. As long as I eat something pretty quickly after getting up am ok, if a start to get hungry I feel really rough!! Frowner

Hi to everyone else including my other due date buddie sezzy!!

Will talk to you all later!

hey everyone.

Am having a quiet morning. my friend rang at 8.45 this morning and came and picked up Bria so she will probably be there till about 2.00 this afternoon so i'm not going to rush about tidying up and ironing. I am going to be a slob, I have just had a roast beef sandwich (beef left from yesterday, scrummy) and judge judy is on the tele and I am going to have a lovely cup of coffee in a mo.

I had the most horrible dream last night. I was attacked and it was so scary, I can't even tell you about it, it was so horrible. I woke up sweaty and shaking and wanted to wake hubby up but it was 3.33am so I went downstairs and got myself some milk and hopefully wake up fully so I didn't go back to sleep and dream the same dream.

Hope everyone is good.

Angel- Bet you can't wait until your scan it's not long now!

Hi to all the other girla on here too!

Well i've booked a doctor's appointmant for thursday i think i need to make it official now.
I'm going to have a chat with her and make sure that if i have any more problems that i will get a scan straight away.
I feel very sick in the mornings at the moment right up until lunch then in waves throughout the day but i don't mind i want symtoms so i know things are progressing as they should.
My jugs are sooooooo sore aswell i can't take my bra off without putting another straight back on they feel so heavy. Eeker
Also am very tired i could go to bed right now but that's just silly!
My skin is awful and i look like shit in the morning but i don't care i'm just grateful that i have seen a heartbeat and want it too stay that way.

Also POBS get your ass on here now you have seen it wiggle so there is no excuse what will be will be! Big Grin
We may not be on here long but you never know we may be on here for a long time yet.
Coming on and enjoying it abit won't make any difference other than you have other people to go through it with you.

Lots of love to everyone. Amy. xx

Hello everyone,
Well its really cold today isn't it.. ive sat in my fleece with blanket all day, haven't given in to my daytime sleep for about 4 days but today i just couldn't help myself, not feeling 100% anyway kept waking up every half hour last night with a really dry mouth, throat and neck- no saliva at all and had been sleeping with my mouth open.. what a sight! so i dont know if i have a sore throat because of that of because i had a sore throat anyway.. feels like a cold or summat starting, Frowner but ive felt like that on and off for wks anyway..
On a brighter note, i haven't felt sick today, and managed to eat pretty much what i fancied- still quite bland foods but its an improvement!
My best friend text me earlier to say her step sister had had her baby 16 weeks early and he weighed only 2lb 4oz.. cant imagine what they are going through right now but it certainly makes you think about things... i dont know what happened and cant get hold of my friend,, scary.

Trad: Hope you enjoyed your chilled out day, its lovely (but quiet!) when we get time to ourselves isn't it! lucky you! (so jealous!!) Hope you get a better sleep minus the nightmares tonight.

Ualreadykno: CoolHAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR YESTERDAY!! Cool
I'm still getting nutty dreams aswell!! Its good what you are thinking about the birth and when i was watching birth stories this morning i thought there is no surprise so many of these mums end up having interventions as they are all giving birth uphill...talk about uphill struggle, i had my last one upright, and my waters went on their own for the 1st time! she just came straight out after that and it was great, it all felt so natural..i lifted her up myself and then cut cord! it makes sense to let gravity do its job, so you go for what you feel is right! and you'll be great, there is no law saying we have to lie down, so why should we?

LILYSUE: you are so lucky getting away with only the occasional bouts of sickyness!! hope it stays away for you, it certainly does help eating tho!
I thought i was going to escape it but turned up at 7 wks.. urghh, dont ever wanna go back there..

Pobs; if you are reading hope all went well today and you will be joining us full time real soon. ((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))

Well hope everyone else, sezzy, Pj, Jessley, Amy and kirstib are all doing ok, and keeping warm! sorry for lack of personals but trying real hard here!!!

back soon,

Emma. x

Hi everyone.

Last birth I had was the only one where my waters went by themself. They began leaking just before midnight and I just plodded around with a pad on. I ended up giving birth in the living room on the leather sofa (with lots of protective plastic on it and sheets) and it was fine. Bria is just having a nap, we got back from town an hour ago as it is my mums birthday tomorrow, I ended up just getting her smellies and a candle with a mum poem on it as she is so difficult to buy for plus christmas just round the corner, I already have other pressies for then.

July will also be a busy month as Jade my eldest will be 18 on the 11th and Liam will be 13 on 22nd July. (on a 30 day cycle, thats when the baby is due) so Liam is very excited.

Slept better last night but am feeling a little weary now. Should try to nap when Bria does but sometimes she only catnaps and that would make me feel worse so I figure wait for night time.

I have been told to contact my midwife after the scan so could be a few weeks yet.

Pobs and Amy - am so pleased for you. I can't wait to have my scan and see bubby.

Anyway the beast is awakening so must go.

Hello can I join you please. I'm Kate and am 4+6 weeks with my 2nd child (found out at 10dpo), I'm also on the August 06 parenting board. Hoping my stay wont be a short one, I m/c in Sept at 5 weeks and had 2 early m/c in 2005 before falling pg with my son - all due to pcos I think.

I'm due on 14th August (my son's due date was 16 August!) and have had nausea from before af was due and my boobs are very sore. Have been having those horrible af type cramps on and off which I remember from last time. Hpt's are realy dark now so hoping for a really sticky bean this time.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.
