Sezzy, sorry to hear your family has all been ill, hope you don't get it. The same thing happened when Ben was 8 weeks old, DH got gastric flu and then I got it after. I was breastfeeding at the time and Ben was fine. I think there was just one day when I was so ill I couldn't move so DH took the day off work so I could stay in bed, he literally brought Ben to me for a feed and would have to take him away again Frowner. Hopefully Carys will be protected by your breastmilk too.

amy... im doing great ta! enjoying being off work to be able to chill out and get everything organised. not had any signs that baby may come soon, but then i dont think you and sezzy did, did you? and you were both early aswell!
be good to have parenting thread not long now!

kate, i too wouldnt of minded if everyone did wanna start that P tread but like few ppl said they will prefer us all to go over together!
how are you feeling today? sending more labour vibes your way!

angel, men sometimes aye! i would have flipped too they know how too push our buttons. hope today is better day for you like you said as he is home, always good to come on here to get things off your chest and like some of the others said will be good to mention how your feeling to hv.

sezzy, got my fingers crossed that you girlies dont get ill, half of the day has gone so hopefully your both feeling ok. that bug sounds nasty that your family have got, was it a 24hr thing?

i think that is every1, hi to pobs hope things r good!

Hi Paula, I've got an avent manual one, was tricky at first and made my hand ache but once my milk came in I could easily fill a 4oz bottle in 5 mins. Having said that I used a double electric one while in hospital when Ben was in SCBU and it was great. So i guess it just comes down to cost. The Avent one's get good ratings but the elec one's are pricey. Think Mothercare and babies r us do quite cheap elec ones.

I'm feeling alright today, had a little irrational cry yest then told myself to pull myself together as I'm not even due for 10 days. Most of my swelling has gone down but my hips are giving me hell at night. Just been sorting Benjamin's birthday cake today, can't believe my little boy will be 2 on Thurs! we've got him this cute wooden playhouse for the garden, been painting it up for him. So I'll be asking for stay put vibes on Thurs lol!!!

Ah Kate, 'stay in on Thursday' vibes by the bucket load hun!! ((((((((((vibes))))))))))). The play house sound lovely. bet Ben will love it!

Paula, I too miss being pg fair play but I have my little girl in my arms now and there's nothing to beat it. I have bought the manual Avent pump but haven't used it yet, it was on sale in Boots, that was my sole reason for choosing it lol!!

Carys and me look to have escaped the tummy bug - fingers crossed - but she's in the wars bless her, she's got a really gammy eye infection and oral thrush. Dr's given me a gel for each, which are a nightmare to apply!

Gotta go she's squwaking at me cos I'm not paying her attention lol xx

Hello!!
Well i need to be quick..just wanted to show my 'face'!!

Mason slept for 4 and a half hours again today! Big Grin so i am hoping this is the start of a routine Smiler
I managed to get an hour nap and sort the washing, put dishwasher on etc, dont feel like ive benefitted from sleep tho!

Sezzy.. You are right, Its seriously difficult being ill and having kids..especially a newborn! but i'm sure if it was to happen you'd get round it!

Kate.. sending baby stay put vibes for thursday! ((((((((((((()))))))))))))))) Its Jordans birthday on Friday, Ive no idea what i'm getting him yet so i better get my thinking cap on lol! Its come around so quick i haven't had time to even think about it, we usually do a party and everything Roll Eyes never mind.
Hope your hips dont give you too much grief tonight,

Paula.. my opinion on breast pumps in my experience is a waste of money, I can hand express quicker Eeker BUT,,, Ive only ever had Avent manual ones (a new one every time lol!!) I would love an electric one which i will look into once feeding is settled into more of a predictable routine. Ive been offered to go back to work part time, so i would prob use it for then, although i havent decided what i want to do yet. That would be a great DOB, 08-08-08 LOL!! my DS thinks its great that he gets hs birthday on that day this year, my mum told him its special!!

Trad.. Hi how are you doing! thanks for popping on and checking up on me lol!! Im not too bad just get these weird moments when i feel like a freak.. i'm sure once i get a full nights sleep i will be better.. I got through it before on my own and i know i can do it again! Although if it gets too much i will see dr. Ive got my 6 wk postnatal check next week so i will talk to her about it then!

well, Macie-baby is not impressed sat in his swing, the batteries have finally given up and i forgot to get some more, well they have lasted well,
Dh is off to try and haggle my crappy, sh-bang-bang corsa for a renault scenic..its lovely and a bargin so hopefully i will get it, i know its still only a 5 seater but the corsa is so small its taking the piss. (I WILL have a 7 seater one day.. I WILL!!)

right, i'm off to empty my left boobie as he is now crying,

ok, personal q now, has anyone attempted nookie yet? Well those who have had babies lol!! or is it best to wait til 6 wk check?

be back later if im allowed!!

Emma and MAson. xx

Hello all sorry long time no speak.

It's a challenge going from 1 to 2 children isnt it!!!!I really love it tho and Roman is a fantastic baby, we're on 4 hourly feeds which we're finding a breeze as dh does the 1am and i do the 5 am(he goes to bed late anyway and Kian likes to get up early so im used to it!)
Don't think it'll be long until he's going through the night tho as he went from 1am till 6.30am last night.

Unfortunately, i'm bottle feeding tho as he got so use to expressed breast milk in SCBU that he never managed to latch on when we got home. He did have 3 full weeks of boobie milk tho so thats something. He's on 120mls of Nutriprem 2 every feed now and he's happy so thats all that matters.

Right gonna try with some personals.....

Angel hope you are feeling better and it's just baby blues and nothing anymore sinister.Since having Roman i've realised I suffered badly with PND with Kian for a long time.I lied on that questionnaire they gave me at the 6 wk check and everything! Luckily everything feels so different this time. I think because it was a pretty normal birth, pregnancy and he came home quite quickly, wheras Kian was taken from me right away and he wasnt 'mine' until he came home at 9wks.

Perhaps its playing on your mind that this will be your last baby?Anyway, much love to you and your gorgeous family,by the looks of gorgeous big boy Mason you are doing a fantastic job x

Sezzy congrats on the birth of Carys gorgeous name for a gorgeous girlie. Glad you aren't poorly.

Kate OMG birthdays are gonna be expensive right next door to each other lol.Fingers crossed you lil one stays put till atleast Friday. Saying that my friend has a 7 yr gap between hers and they were both born on valentines day so its does happen lol! Cant beleive you and i were on similar due dates and that Roman is almost 5 weeks old and should still be inside me until Thursday!I am soooo broody already but my car only has 4 seats and as its only a year old i dont want to loose it yet so will have to be careful!

Who mentioned S-E-X? Well i've been back on the horse so to speak since 11 days after Roman was born. You have to remember tho that I have been on a sex ban since February when I had my suture put in!so to say i was gagging for it was an understatement!

Amy all of your posts sound like you are so so in love its beautiful to read and im getting some of those powder dispensers today Smiler

Pobs i'm upset about BF too but bubs really isnt fussed so i try and console myself that way.Still think i'll try again next time tho. Romy has little rashes i think they may be sweaty heat rashes tho. x

Paula ive said before manual breast pumps=ouch when it came to me. So leccy all the way hun.

Who else?? I think i congratulated all the other ladies previously. So sorry if i didnt but baby brain has still not left the building!

I promise to try and post more also, its just my DH is off for the summer hols and obviously we are out and about trying to entertain Kian.Must admit I am looking forward to them all going back to school/work so i can get some sort of nap routine going as much as i love them i'm a stickler for a regime!

Come September i'll be pining for them both again lol!

Right off to post some pics x

Hi ladies,

Sezzy, sorry Carys has a poorly eye and mouth. Hope the meds clear it up soon. Love the pic on her ticker, don't you just want to kiss those cheeks!

Angel, wow Mason's becoming a good little sleeper. Long may it continue! Sounds like he really doesn love his swing if the bateries have gone already! I've got one this time round too.

Babyno.5, been looking at the latest pic's of Roman. He's such a little cutie. I love reading your posts cos he's such a little miracle baby!

Pobs, hope you and Scarlett are ok and the expressing is going well. Is she getting any better sleeping?

Amy, is Ciaran still being a good boy for his mummy now your DH is back at work. Can't believe he's nearly a month old!

Jessley, hope you are settling in at home with Lily. Are you on msn? would love to see some pic's.

Ualready know. Seen your new pic's too. Luis JR is a cutie! how's he doing?

Paula, how's it going. Just you and me I think. Are you getting any signs something might be happening? I'm getting really bored waiting.

Hi also to Kirsten and Grace, Kirsti and Masyn, PJ and Grace. Hope you are all well, check in when you can.

Waves to Meadow and Emzieh, are you still lurking???

Well I think thats everyone. Had another false start in the night, think thats 4 times now. Not funny anymore. I'm sick of wondering if this is it. Ho hum...

Anyway gonna forget about it for now and enjoy Ben's birthday tomorrow. Just decorated his cake with smarties while he had his nap. DH is finishing putting his house together tonight and I'm gonna decorate it with banners and balloons. Got some of those disney cars foam stickarounds to go inside too. Ben's favourite film!

Anyway bye for now, will do the stats.

Hello all,

While peace is restored on my household for a brief moment thought I would just stop by. Scarlett was rushed to hospital today as she has been poorly the past couple of days. The rash I told you about got worse and was then all over her body, she has done nothing but screan day and night for the past two days. It turns out she has a viral infection. Nothing they can give her ive just got to keep her hydrated and keep an eye on her wet nappies and hopfully it should pass in a day or two. Doctor has given us some lotion for a little face, blessher she looks like a burns victim at the minute. Its been a terrible 2 days here what with lack of sleep and a constantly crying baby. Hit my rock bottom at 3am this morning, df came home form work and found me sobbing in the bedroom and scarlett screaming, just couldn't calm her at all. Lack of sleep has a lot to answer to hay?? i'm praying we get an hour or two tonight, poor df has to be up a 4am for work tomorrow Frowner ANyway its nice to come on here and read how you all are.

Sezzy....Poor dh and family being ill...hope you and Cary's escape it. Well done on the feeding, sounds like you are really getting to grips with it. I agree about the muslin squares.....I use then for all sorts, so handy.
How much does Carys weigh now????

Paula....How you doing matey..almost there!!!! With regards to pumps I have the tommie Tippee manual which I ahte, can't use it at all..perhaps i'm to cack handed but just found it to hard BUT I love my Medela mini electric pump so handy although sooo noisy, sounds like i'm milking a herd of cows LOL, would see how you get on with the feeding but then would invest if poss.

Amy...."I WANT THAT ONE" with regards to baby Ciaran LOL He sounds like such a dream. You are doing such an amazing job hun, well done you!! LOL at you trying after next period. Best get the 2ww up and running again, see our old thread is non exsistant these days. DD and DS have a two year age gap which is great. They are really close.
My best buy has to be my electric pump as its ment ive still been able to give Scarlett some boobie milk also as sezzy said the muzzy squares. Worst is the manual pump and as much as I love my car seat's colours I would recomend one with a base which the seat clips into. We spent ruddy ages trying to slide the belt through the holes etc, its such a nightmare!!!....oh and Scarlett is loving her grobag that she sleeps in at night (I use that term loosly LOL)

Angel....I hope you are getting abit more sleep now. How did the bargining go with regards to the car???? I swear if I could drive I would have put Scarlett in the car last night and gone for a drive, she loves the car. As for nookie..whats that then???? It must be about 7 weeks for us now since we inbarked on some. With a c section you are advised to wait til the 6week check..I want to get a coil put in first, oh dear me the thought of falling pregnant again now Eeker Eeker TBH haven't really been bothered, thats bad isn't it.

Kate....Happy birthday to little Ben for tomorrow. Can't believe you hvaen't had that baby yet matey. I also agree with the other girls as much as i'm looking forward to the parenting thread, I want us to all go together....wouldn't be the same otherwise.. Big Grin

Babyno5...Lovely to hear from you. I'm so pleased to hear there is someone else like me who likes routines and regimes LOL. Ive been walking around with Gina Fords bible in my hands again the past couple of days. Glad Roman is so settled and everything is going well for you guys...are you still moving down this way???

Can't remember if I congratulated you Jessy...but if I didn't Congratulations on the birth of Lilly...love that name.

Think thats everyone that normally posts, like you all i'm hating the new page layout. I hvae to go back when I do personals as i get confussed who said what LOL. Scarlett is stiring so going to try and feed her. Ive been trying to breast feed her this last feed then top her up if she needs it. Still ploding on trying to mix feed. Have put her back on cow and gate, she didn't like the Hipp organic at all.

wishing you all a restful night love Pobs xxx
