Hello ladies. Just wrote out my post and i clicked on a different page and it deleted it. Has anyone got the reply box at the bottom of the page now and when you go onto a different page it doesn't save it? Really annoying! Angel- Hope you are feeling better today. I had a not so good day yesterday. Ciaran wanted feeding every 2 hrs and i just couldn't get anything done as he got so desperate for it. But he has been the complete opposite today feeding more like 3-4 hours and sleeping most of the time. Just by coincidence the health visitor phoned and i asked her if it is normal for him to want feeding so much and she said he is probably having a growth spurt. Are you still bleeding? I thought it would stop by today but i keep getting 1 bit of blood every day just enough for a panty liner. It is really annoying! I might ask the midwife on here what is the norm. Pobs- My dh did the bath yesterday after he got back from work. I might ask if he wants to make that a regular thing i think he would love it too. We had no choice to do it yesterday he had a pee and poo explosion in his nappie. Poo up his back and when i took off the nappie he peed up his chest. So a bath was essential! Paula- It's a shame you will miss out on your SIL's wedding but you have something better to look forward to! Lunch was really good thanks we had a muffin in costa coffee. Tasty! Anyway Dh doing dinner again. He is so good and taking turns doing things. I never really believed people when they said looking after babies is like a full time job. I think i would be doing less if i was working! Love Amy and Ciaran. xxxxxxxx Me- 28 DH-26 Ciaran Jacob was born Thursday 10th July at 10.38am. Weighing 7lb2oz.

Just found this if anyone else wondered what was the norm. What is lochia? Every woman bleeds after having a baby. Postnatal discharge, known as lochia, is how your body discharges the lining of the womb after birth. It may come out in gushes or flow more evenly like a normal period. As healing continues and the womb grows smaller, the flow of lochia will slow and turn from bright red to pink and, eventually, to yellow-white. How long will it last? You may bleed for as little as two to three weeks or as long as six weeks after birth. The flow will taper off very gradually. Red lochia should not persist for more than two weeks, although if you try to do too much too soon it may start flowing again. If you see bright red blood, it's a sign to slow down. Do I need to do anything about it? Not really. Just make sure you stock up on maternity pads before your baby is born - two or three packs should do. (Read more about how many pads you'll need after the birth.) Tampons are off limits for the first six weeks because they can introduce bacteria into your still-healing uterus and cause infection. When should I call the midwife or doctor? Call your midwife or doctor if the bleeding: • soaks more than one towel an hour • remains heavy and bright red after the first week • returns to bright red four or more days after birth and does not improve with bedrest • has large blood clots (bigger than a 50p piece) • has a foul smell and you come down with a fever and/or chills. Me- 28 DH-26 Ciaran Jacob was born Thursday 10th July at 10.38am. Weighing 7lb2oz.

Evening all, I feel absolutley worn out today how about you????? Miss Scarlett has not wanted to conform to our new routine today and has been unhappy allday. I hvae tried to cut back on her formula top ups and try to just breastfeed and express but its just not working out at all she is just so hungry I thought that expressing would help me produce more milk but it is just dwindling by the day. I gave her a formula feed tonight in the end as she just wouldn't settle and used my pump to express but I could only get out 2onz...she is on 4onz bottles. Just spoke to df as he is at work and her agreed we will have to formula feed and I will keep expressing for as long as I can so she gets some boobie milk. I feel really sad I haven't managed to get to grips with it. Sorry just wanted to get that out, been stuck in on my own allday with poor hungry Scarlett Has anyone elses babies suffering with terrible baby acne????? Scarletts little face is covered at the minute. Looked it up and apparently its normal, I don't remember my other having it. AMY....Sounds like Ciaran has been going through a growth spurt, last week Scarlett was the same, wanting to feed constantly. Poor Ciaran messing himself, Scarlett did the same yesterday morning all over me!!!! she was in a nappy but she just exploded bless her and it came pouring out all over my lap...it was like butterscotch angel delight LOL, my dd's thoughts not mine. Is Ciaran sleeping any better at night??? Sacrlett hs taken to waking at 4.45am and then not wanting to go back to sleep in her cot. As for the bleeding (think it is slightly different for me having had a c section) but I am still bleeding on and off, The other day I though af had returned but it was over by the afternoon so i'm still having to wear a "just incase" towel Kate....No news from you today, hope its for a good reason Angel....How you feeling hunny???? Is Mason any more settled at night now???? Scarlett has started sleeping in her grow bag now and she loves it. Its only a 2.5 tog so ideal when its too hot for swaddling. Have you managed to get out for any more walks??? Paula.....Hope you have found the weather slightly cooler today. How lovely you had a baby shower, who organised that for you??? Waves to sezzy if you are reading (although i'm sure your not doing anything other than cuddling your new pink bundle!!) Hope you are getting on with the feeding ok. Think thats everyone who has posted. Scarlett is up in bed although she keeps stiring, the fisherprice monitor we bought is sooo clear considering it was a cheap one, well worth the money girls if you have yet to get one. I'm hoping she holds out for her 10-11 feed as DF wants to do it when he gets in form work. He was so upset about having to go to work today as he only got to see her for a couple of hours today and for some of that she was napping. I felt really bad when he rang and I said I had just bathed her, he sounded really down but needs must hay!! will leave you all in peace for another day. hugs to all Pobs xxxx

Hi ladies, still here , just been laying low as I'm feeling so fed up and uncomfortable. At least the weather has cooled down a bit. Baby's head is soooo low down, I posted a bump pic on msn and you can see how low my bump is, just hope she comes out soon as I'm not much fun to be around. Did anyone else get hacked off with strangers commenting and asking how long you've got left, or saying wow you're ready to drop - grrrrr!!! Pobs, sorry Scarlett is a bit out of sorts, hopefully she'll get into a nice predictable routine soon. Sorry the bf isn't going too well, are you drinking lots of fluids, I remember drinking loads of water while I was feeding which really helped. Amy, yes being a mummy is a full time job! hardest job I've ever done but soooo fulfilling. You sound like a natural to me. Paula, swelling isn't as bad as it was but feet are still puffy and I can still only wear flip flops. How lovely you had a baby shower did you get lots of nice presents? Jessley, good luck for the induction tomorrow, thats if you haven't already had your baby. Check in if you can. Sezzy, hows it going? dying to hear from you its not the same without you! and I am dying to see some pic's of little Carys!!! Angel, how is Mason doing, hope you are having a lovely time with your mum. Have you had any luck getting him sleeping in the moses basket again? Hi to everyone else and all the lovely babies. Can't believe there is only a handful of us left who are yet to have our babies. Right will do the stats. K x

Hello everyone!! ((((waves)))) Not liking htis new 'reply' function, grrrr, how am I supposed to remember what was said on previous pages when I've got a sleep deprived baby brain!?!?! So sorry not been on so long but time spent typing is time not staring in love and adoration at my beautiful girl so I haven't been able to drag myself away. Carys is angelic most of the time LOL! In our first week we have learnt that she is a little milk monster, that she prefers my right boobie to my left (much faster let down reflex I think, she has to work hard at the left one LOL!) and that she does NOT like to be woken up before she is good and ready LOL! We were waking her every 4 hours if necesary for feeds and the last two days she has screamed the place down and got quite distressed. Last night we ended up back at the MLU for a couple of hours to calm us both down enough to feed her LOL! So we decided today not to wake her any more and to feed her on demand, and she hasn't cried once. She got weighed today and has only lost 5% the little star, she's just over 8lb now. KAte, I hope you are bearing up, those last few days and weeks are tough aren't they, I had a right paddy on here i remember. I swelled massively aafter the birht as it was so hot and it's only just going down now. Looking forwad to your news when it comes! PObs, ah, you're doing the right thing with Scarlett, she needs to feed and you're persevering with BF as long as poss, every BF is of benefit and I was bottle fed from 1 week and it hasn;t done me any harm LOL!> Shame about your DF. My DH is already dreading goign back to work love him. I'm glad I've got my year off but bet it flies by. Amy, you are a tonic, always so positive love you! Ciaran sounds like a good baby. My DH and I hvae decided he can do the bathing too, at the mo he does almost all the nappies and I get the fun bit (feeding) so it seems only fair to me that he gets a fun bit too. PLus she loves being bathed by her daddy more than her mummy! Paula, oooh a surprise baby shower, I had one of those, did you have a great time? What did they do, we had lots of baby related games including a sweepstake on weight, date of birth etc. I didn't win grrrr. Angel - poor you - you do loads for your BF can'tbelieve she's being a madam. Hope your hormones are settling a bit now (((((hugs))))). IKWYM, i really really miss being pg which is why I can't put Carys down, at least I can cuddle her even if I can't feel her kicking inside me. I had to sleep with her in the bed for teh first few days so she could kick and hit me from the outside *(that sounds so violent! But you know what I mean). DH has persuaded me to put her in her Moses basket now, she sleeps like a log in it if she's swaddled but I miss having her next to me. How are you adjusting to having 4 kids now, it kinda hityou hard at first didn't it? And can't believe Mason is in 3-6, wowsers!! Did I get all our regular posters??? Can't believe I can't skip back a few pages to check, ggrrrr again. Hi to everyone else. Have done this whole post 1handed so sorry for mistakes etc. Back soooooon!!! xxx
