lumney, when I was pg with my ds he sat on my siatica nerve from about 6 months till delivery and unfortunately if that is what it is there is no cure unless the baby moves
Thanks girls i hope it goes soon but it doesn't look likely. I could hardly walk up the stairs and to the little girls room in the night. DH has been so sweet massaging my cheek and getting me hot water bottles but i feel guilty cos i am being a bit snappy at the mo and BD is definitely off the agenda ... seem to be too tired to get in the mood these days []

Although not pregnancy related I have suffered from Sciatica on and off over the past 10 years.
I found gentle stretching making sure you bend your knees and no sharp movements can sometimes help. Have you thought about some sort of physio treatment or swimming? Anything to try and stretch out the limbs and maybe free up pressure on the nerve?
Hope it improves soon.

I haven't started swimming as yet but it is the next thing on my agenda, i have continued aerobics twice a week which has been fine. I have been suffering with a really chesty cold for 4 weeks now which i think has added to the problem, but it seems to have moved up to my nose now and loads of sneezing so hopefully that is on its way out.
I wouldn't change anything in the world i.e. being pregnant but this cold is really getting me down. I could cope with the stabbing pains in my cheek if i stopped sneezing and coughing.
Take care
B xx
