Afternoon all

Where did the day go?? I'm still sitting here in my dressing gown lol The joys of working from home! I swear if I knew that it was impossible 4 me 2 be pregnant this month I would be completely convinced that I was -- 9 DPO and I've had: sore, burny boobs, a low pelvic ache yesterday & today, felt nauseous & the beginnings of a tummy bug -- I also had a 'dip' in temp this morning which some say is a sign of implantation!! Luckily I know that it's not -- it's just the second rise of oestrogen that happens in the middle of the lutueal phase sometimes! This month has been a real eye-opener actually -- every symptom that could b a preg. symptom is also just a normal part of a woman's cycle before AF. Hilarious actually! [Remind me of all of this the next time i obsess in the 2ww guys!!].

Kat: hey luv. How were the kids' eye-tests? I hope it was just a routine check-up! What kind of temp are u guys experiencing over there? Is it still snowing?

Maz: Sorry u r feeling a bit down hun. The days before AF are tough to get through i know. Hope it'll b good news 4 u this month! Did u have fun with the pm'ing??

Clairey: how u doing? Is your dp still giving u the military drill?? I truly hope this cycle comes to an end 4 u and u get AF or a bfp SOON!!!

Tallgirl: I c u haven't ov yet -- so happy bd-ing tonight -- do u get any other 'signs' of ov??? eg like swollen boobs, cramps etc? Sometimes that helps in pinpointing the exact ov day (just as well as opk's in fact). Good luck

Nadinec: how's it going in beautiful Canada 2day? Is your dh still working over-time? Hope your ds is feeling better 2day.

im just sitting down with a nice cup of tea dh made it, why does it always taste better when some one els makes it hehe and if im really honest i have a dougnut to hehe
the kids got on really well at there eye test, it was just routine because i had a Squint and double vision as a child we just wanted to rule it out for the kids.Becuase i know how important it is to catch it early, i had an opp on my eye to fix the Squint but now have very bad vision in 1 of my eyes.its cold here at the min im not sure what temp it is just know its cold brrrrrrrr

I hope everyone's happy with the name change. This way there is no competition with the old ttc thread & there is a space for all of us (including pregnant girls) to connect & chat.

kat: lol at the cuppa tea story! dp hardly ever makes me tea - the lout! I think I drink so much tea that I'm always beating him to the post though lol! Yum, your doughnut sounds good -- I am shortly off to make a good cuppa myself 2 b enjoyed with a lovely milktart -- do u know what that is or do we only make it here in SA??? Glad the eye tests went well luv No kat, Cape Town is not near Cameroon lol -- we are right at the very southern tip of Africa -- to be honest I don't know where Cameroon is myself lol -- except that it's also in Africa!!! haha lol

well i have a story about a man i met on the internet from cameroon hehe
i have always wanted a monkey one of the little small ones so one day i came across this add for baby monkeys shiped from cameroon for 500euro i knew it was a scam but emailed him any ways when he asked for the money up front i told him mu husband would not let me give him money up front but i promised to pay him when i got the monkey ((dont think im crazy this is just another day in my world lol)) any ways he told me that he posted the monkey lmao and it would get to my house on a thursday at 6pm of course i knew it was not going to come, on the day the monkey was ment to come every time my door knocked i jumped out of my skin lol any ways as i knew the monkey would'nt come but then i got and email from another man saying they had my monkey and i had to pay 250euro for insurance before i got the monkey lmao could'nt believe how silly they must have thought i was any ways it was a scam and i still dont have a monkey yaya may be you could post me one over ((jk))

Kat -- LOL @ the monkey story!!!! You really crack me up sista! "just another day in my world" - honey your world sounds much more exciting than mine!! & luv, I'd love to send u a monkey lol but I've actually only ever seen them in thre zoo!! haha lol

A milktart (or 'melktert' as the locals say lol) is a traditional south african baked tart which has a sugary crust and is filled with a sweet, milky custard. It is YUMMY.

lol we could get monkeys for pets here but they cost alot of money, and i think in the last 6months there has been some sort of ban on them.

yum that milktart sound good i dont think we have any thing like that here? we likely do but i maybe just have not seen them lol
