This thread, which was the 'maybe baby' thread has been changed and is now a place for everyone to have a general chat about everything and anything under the sun!! Enjoy girls!

Hi girls
This is a new thread 4 all you girls who don't feel u 'fit into' any other ttc groups -- I am thinking of those (like me) who are taking a LAID BACK approach to ttc -- i.e. letting it happen when it happens & trying hard NOT TO OBSESS 2 MUCH!! It is also 4 those who want to have a baby but for some or other reason are waiting for a better time or moment. It is even 4 those who might be ambivalent about ttc -- wanting 2 but also having reservations. It is also FOR ANYONE ELSE who feels they don't quite 'fit' anywhere else!
Okay..let me introduce myself...
My name is yaya, I am 31 years old and have been living with my dp for 7 years. We live in Cape Town, SA with two cats and a dog. We want a baby but we also want it to happen when it's meant to (and not become too obsessive about it all lol). I have been off the bcp since sept last year & am trying to get my cycle sorted out @ the moment.
Anybody else??
xx yaya

Your family sounds so cosy and fun -- I also love to be surrounded by lots of animals; u have a pony??! That is amazing & I am really jealous! I can just imagine the scene where u live -- lots of green, green grass, rolling hills, mist and gently grazing animals! I am probably way off -- like those that think there are lions roaming around Cape Town just b'cause it's in Africa lol!!
I also so agree with u about not wanting to neglect the family that u have b'cause of the oft times lunacy of ttc. I was finding that I became so obsessed that I was neglecting my relationship & losing the plot career wise as well!!
((hugs)) yaya

I am with you here! I'm just waiting for the right time. and I so don't want to obsess.. even tho I've been told that I do so at times
So I'm 34. I live in Moncton,NB in Canada. We don't live in Igloos Our summers are short though. Way too much snow this winter! Shediac,NB (30 min. from here) is the Lobster Capitol of the World! And the best beaches in North America
I had the Mirena for 3 1/2 years. Just had it removed in March (last month). My DP is 33, and I have a lovely son who is 5. No pets. But thinking about it someday.
Not charting or monitoring or temping. I know when I ovulate.. that's about it. I would like to get pregnant at the end of May, God willing. So time will tell... tic toc..
Welcome Nadinec. I never would have associated Canada with beaches -- it's soo weird! YumMy lobster -- & snow -- it sounds like a good place 2 live. Your little boy is adorable btw -- love that pic of him.
I've just stuffed myself with greek lamb & potato wedges!! Hmm, hmm. Felt the beginning of a tummy bug earlier in the day - luckily it seems to have vanished [lol] .
night night girls xx yaya

This kind of suits me too....I can't even begin to keep up on the TTC thread and I am trying to remain pretty chilled about it all. I am charting but mainly cos my DH works away 2-3 nights per week so i need to know when I ov to have any chance at all of catching the old egg!
I would dearly love to get preg in the next few months but am so busy with my 19 month old the months are flying by and I haven't really got myself in a stew about the fact its taking a while this time. I like the idea of this thread - some support but not tooooooooo obsessed!
I think I am due to ov in the next few days so should not really be hanging around here chatting when there is sex to be had!!!!!
HI GIRLS hope every one is having a good eve, dh is on the xbox and im just after eating the biggest choclate muffin u have ever seen lol starting my green tea tomorrow hehe. i think my bleeding is coming 2 a stop thank-fully i just wanted 2 lay in the bath all day because it had been heavy dh ran me a monkey bath the other night i was like a purn by the time i got out,

Well dp, dog and I have just come back from a lovely visit to some wine farms & a yummy breakfast on the way (scrambled egg on croissant - yum). It is finally starting to feel like autumn here -- cool, cloudy with that feeling of an approaching winter in the air. I am actally looking 4ward to it as it's been a hellishly hot & dry summer here.
I also picked up my royal jelly with evening primrose oil that I ordered from the health store a while back -- I'm hoping it helps with cm & just improves my all round feeling of well-being.
Tallgirl: hi & welcome to the thread I wondered where u had got to! I'm glad that this thread seems to suit a couple of us oddball girls Happy bd-ing!!
Kat: hey love How r u this morning? What on earth does your dh want 2 do with a baby donkey!! lol. The wife s*** sounds interesting -- haha Yum, I love chocolate muffins! U r giving me ideas lol. I'm glad the bleeding is coming to an end luv [[[HUGS]]]
Nadinec: morning Poor u alone in the evenings with your dh working. Don't u get nervous? Or is Canada a pretty safe country 2 live in with little in the way of crime?
chat later girlies xx yaya

Glad u got a bit on a lie-in. What telly is so interesting that it is keeping u up so late?? Lol @ my 'romantic' morning -- never thought of it that way at all; dp is not exactly the romantic type & we were def. not gazing over the table @ each other with lovesick eyes!!
Now that you've explained, a donkey sounds like a great idea shame - a dying breed, it's good if u guys can rescue one or two! Lucky u to have a lot of land -- sounds heavenly. I've always fancied the idea of living in the country with lots of animals and growing my own veggies and things. Do u grow your own?
Royal jelly is made by honey bees and is the substance fed to young bees as well as the queen bee. It is supposed to be a general health tonic (anti-aging -- yay!)which facilitates fertility & helps to regulate & balance hormones. It is also supposed to help increase fertile cm. I took my first capsule today & will keep u posted as to whether I think it is making any difference!
What are u up 2 today?
Nadinec & tallgirl -- what r u up to this weekend??
xx yaya

hi yaya i watched the note book last night aww its so romantic and sad that wat kept me up lol my dh is not romantic either im not sure if i would like him 2 be well may be a little more than he is but not 2 over the top, yeah i like the idea of growing my own veggies but 2 be honest i find it hard keeping up with my flower beds never mind growing more lol theroyal jelly sounds good i may get some of that my self,
im not doing much 2 day i think i will have a quiet lazy weekend, im making steaks with roasted potatoes and sweet potatoes for dinner we do this most saturday nights dh baths and puts the kids 2 bed wile i make me and him a nice tea, what abt you are u doing any thing exciting this weekend? xx

Oh yeah, the notebook is lovely - I've seen it twice already! I agree with you about the romance thing -- not really one of those girls who would want a guy that was too 'over-the-top' or 'touchy-feely' if u know what I mean!!
Your dinner sounds good - i love sweet potatoes myself. One of my girl friends has invited me and dp around for dinner 2night -- yay -- another night that I don't have to cook or think about what's 4 dinner! I really am a lazy cow haha
Just taking it easy this afternoon though -- reading the weekend newspaper & might do some pottering in the garden later.
xx yaya
