Hi my name is Danielle and I am 21, and expecting my first baby in April and getting really nervous about the delivery and becoming a mum. I know I will be fine and so will my husband but still a little wary about the whole labour thing.
Nothing to worry about is there?

Dear Danielle, don't worry, I'm not going to tell you any horror stories. In fact, I quite enjoyed labour. OK, its painful, but with the correct pain relief its bearable. I can recommend gas & air - that certainly takes the edge of things. And the pethadine injection was wonderful, that really did the trick for a few hours. The thing that caused me the most trouble was being told NOT to push as it wasn't time for that.
Labour is only one day out of your life (hopefully!). The contractions might be painful, but they won't last forever. And when you've done that final push its worth it because you've got that precious little bundle to hold and a lifetime of pleasure to look forward to. Good luck and best wishes, Laylaa.

Hi there, we are both in the same boat, im due in April too and i am as worried as you sound you are. I know everyone says you forget about the pain as soon as the babys born but thats no help when you have that all to go through still!! Im due on the 27th what about you?
