Sue, It's so good to hear from you. It means so much that you came on to give me your congratulations. Am so sorry that the IVF route hasn't been successful so far but don't give up hope....You will be a mummy some day soon... I just know it.
Do you intend to try naturally for a while or start into IVF again in the new year? If you intend trying naturally for while I have something which may help, it certainly did for me. I'm sure you had heard about the link between a low-fat diet and infertility? Well i certainly am one of these women who rarely consumes any dairy let alone full fat dairy. In order to try this out I started to eat a small bowl of full fat dairy Ice-Cream for my desert evry night for the past two months and the effect on my cycles was almost immediate, they began to be dare I say it normal and last month i had the best CM I have ever had in my life and I beleive it was this night that this little pickle was conceived... Its just something easy to try and it most definately was the reason for my success. I never had good cm and I think this was why it took so long to get pregnant...
On a lighter note, did you go to the Take That conmcert in Belfast? I heard it was fab... i bet you really enjoyed it...
Finally I wish you and your DH all the best for the next stage of your journey and will be looking out for you closely...
Lots of love
Lisa

Sue it is lovely to see you posting on here again and I am so sorry IVF didn't work last time. However, I'm sure you're doing the right thing letting your body rest so it will be completely ready for your next shot at IVF. I will be praying for everything to go to plan next time for you xxx
Take care both of you Mandy xxx

Thanks for the well wishes hon, I came out of hiding cause I really wanted to come on and say congrats to you cause you were so good to me when i was trying
I only went through the IVF 2 months ago (had 2 cycles that were cancelled) so have another 4 months of "not trying" before going the IVF route again. However I am trying in a broad sense of the word, seeing as I know my cycles like the back of my hand and can pinpoint fairly accurately when I OV I am trying to get a few sneaky sessions in just to see what happens, who knows!!! I did read about you eating the ice-cream every night and when you got your BFP it was the first thing I thought of, like you i have actually a very low fat diet and certainly a low dairy one, don't drink milk, eat very little cheese and yogurts etc, but your story has made me think and especially since the outcome was so great, might just try that bowl of ice-cream too hon
Mandy, thanks too hon, I can't believe Jake is nearly 6 months old already!!!! Where has the time gone to????? Am sure you are so looking forward to Christmas this year

I've also seen reports about how a low fat diet can contribute to infertilty. I'm not sure how much I beleive it but I've replaced skimmed milk with semi and I've also stopped eating fat free yoghurts. It might be a bit odd, but anythings worth a try! I wish I could remember who published this work so I could tell you all. I think the BBC reported something about 6 months to a year ago.
