hi all,i am very new to this site,i have pcos and have had since i was 19,im 25 now.me and my partner have been trying to concieve for a while now,and i am thinking of getting myself referred back to the womens hospital i was under maybe to try clomid.anyhoo,my periods seemed to be getting back to normal,[arriving near enough the same time each month]...but i havent had one now since november,and a couple of weeks before xmas,i started to feel..'off'...you know when you cant put your finger on something?,well that has persisted ever since,i have very bloated looking stomach,bright blue viens on boobs,all the back ache i get when on period ect,metal taste in my mouth,which has only happend recently....so i tested and got a negative???....so i suppose what i am wanting to ask is....has there ever been a false negative for anyone after so long,whther that be because of the pcos??....thanks in advance

hiya vix- there is a clomid thread here and u r also very welcome to join us girlies on the 2WW thread...sounding good for u and yes u can get false negatives if u test too early..sounds like ur cycles might still be weird and maybe u r testing early...id go see ur doc...if he is concerned they can always give u a blood test xxx

Before I knew I was pregnant with my daughter I tested when I was 2 weeks late and got a negative.
So then I went to the doctors when I was 4 weeks late and he tested me and told me I was negative ! So I assumed it was just me having a dodgy cycle or because I must be stressed or something.
At 6 weeks late I started to feel sick and just thought I'd try another test and finally got a positive!!!
Some people don't produce high amounts of the hormone that tests use to detect pregnancy and I guess thats why it took so long to give me a positive!
I would suggest that if you are getting pregnancy symptoms like metal mouth and the others you mentioned then it might be work testing again!
