Hi!
I was wondeing if anyone could share their thoughts on their maternity jeans! Good and bad!

I have a minimum 34" inside leg and ideally need a 36" inside leg! I have tried topshop head office but apparently they don't do a Tall range in maternity, Dp's long are only 33" and my nearest store dont stock long anyway!
I know Next Directory do Extra long leg in maternity as i had them in my last pg, but for some reason dont have them this season???

I have no option really but to get 34" from Topshop and hope for the best,
Could someone tell me please what the sizing is like and are they comfy? I can usually squeeze into a 10 at topshop so would i need a 10 or 12 in the maternity jeans or are they a generous fit?
Any advice or experience with topshop maternity jeans would be great as i am really stuck at the moment and it is soooo winding me up not being able to just pull on a pair of jeans!

Thanks in advance!

have you tried blooming marevellous? i got some jeans from there when i was pregnant and i absolutely loved them! one thing i would say though, is to get the very unsexy ones that go all the way over the bump rather than sitting under it as they are much more comfortable!

M&S did a maternity range for a while - it was a bit limited but they always do their trousers in short, medium and long length so they may work - and not break the bank! The might have them on line too

Thanks Lisajane..just had a look on crave but...£69 for a pair of jeans!! wow, if i win the lottery before July i might get some! I am struggling to come to terms with parting with £35-£40 for the ones from topshop Lol!!!

Kathryn..I dont think blooming marvellous do a long enough leg for me but i will take a look just incase they have changed! I must say i agree with you about over bump ones they are so much more comfier!
Thankyou!

Billy... Thanks also, shall have a look now, never would have thought of M&S!

Much appreciated ladies!

Hi emma

I too have a minimum 34" inside leg as I always bought trousers and jeans from tall range at DP's. I had a nightmare trying to buy maternity jeans that actually fit in length. Why do they not do tall maternity???? Mad

I actually bought a pair of red herring jeans from debenhams which fit me perfectly. The longer length ones are a 34" inside leg and they only cost £30. I had to go up a size in them though as my normal size was a little tight. You can buy them online too.

Its weird about Next because they actually adverise extra long online but when you go to select the size the extra long isnt there!!!

Angel,

I can sympathise with you! I had a bit of bother getting maternity jeans and trousers when I was pg. I had topshop 34" maternity jeans and I got a pair of the smart black trousers for work too. Both pairs of trousers were under bump ones a 10 and a 12 and they have adjustable elastic bits inside that you can let out as you grow. By the end of my 9 months they were so uncomfy and dug in when I sat down. I'll def be getting the not very glamorous looking but very comfy looking over bump ones next time!

Try:

www.fromheretomaternity.co.uk they do long length

Good luck!

Thanks so much cherie & HD5, shall have a look at the Debenhams ones now!
It is ridiculous that the High street top names dont cater for Taller people, every shop you go in there are loads of petite sections so why not do it for Tall??
Story of my life wearing trousers thats too short! Although i cant complain as its much better than it was when i was younger! Lol, just hurry up with the TALL MATERNITY!!
Are you reading this TOPSHOP and DP's?

There is hope- somewhere!!
Woo-hoo!

Thanks ladies,

I know, isn't it annoying that tall women apparently don't get pregnant?? Or have to pay over the odds for longer length clothes? Confused

I've got an inside leg measurement of 35" so can't get long enough maternity trousers in 'normal' shops either.

I've just had a look on the internet though - there's a site opening up soon called Beanpole Bumps that's supposed to do extra-long maternity clothes for tall pregnant women in the UK. It says they'll have trousers with lengths of 34" - 37", perhaps it's worth a look?

Hi all

I'm a mega shortie 5ft2 and i still have the same problem as you guys just the other end of the spectrum! Theres no petite maternity?!

However, i have found Pumpkin Patch's jeans to be by far the comfiest albeit rather long, so have a look there perhaps.

Good Luck in your search Smiler

Hey all!! Thanks for everyone that replied to my 'dilemma!!' lol!!!!

Well i am well and truly in my maternity wear at the moment and have actually out grown most of it..

Just an update for info reasons really should anyone find this thread useful many months down the line!!

I bought a pair of jeans from littlewoods, 34" leg and fit beautiful, they have a wide jerset band across top and are lovely to wear!! they only cost £25 and are worth every penny!
They are south make..

then i got a pair of boyfriend fit ones from topshop online, which were a bit more expensive and cost £35, they aren't particularly comfy and are underbump with elastic adjusters and elastic panels in the pockets, they dig in when i drive or sit down and that defeats the object of maternity i think.. they are constantly falling down and spend all day pulling them up.. so basically i say waste of £££,

Then i got a brandnew pair of skinny leg ones off ebay they are the baxter ones from topshop and for a month of so were lush, same waist design as the boyfriend fit with elastic pockets.. but comfier. Now they are too small so a size up would be needed.. I only paid £10 for them inc p&p so i aint complaining about them as i can wear them after the birth!! oh, they were only a 32" leg but thats ok because i only wear them tucked in boots anyway so a bit of a divorce in the leg isn't seen!!

well, i think if i was going to but another pair they would prob be the 1st pair but they dont do a long leg now in the new catalogue.. typical!!
