I suffered terribly with them in my last pregnancy and the only advice i can give is drink plenty of water which will make your stools softer and try not to strain when you are going to the toilet as this will make them worse. I am currently 22 weeks with twins and fingers crossed no sign of them this time yet!

HI sammiej uk thanks for your responce i am still worried about pushing ive heard that some people can suffer from piles collapsing out side the rectum area.Did it have any effects on you when pushing? If you had a natural delivery that is?I know it sounds silly but thats what im worried about and wish my midwife hadnt said to me to be careful during labour.

believe me your piles will be the last thing on your mind when giving birth, you won't even notice they are there! Mine cleared up pretty quickly once i'd given birth and at the end of the day during labour the most important thing to think about is pushing your baby out safely, any damage you might do to yourself during labour is very easily fixed opposed to what damage you might do to your baby

HI sammeij i know what you mean ive had 2 babies before but never suffered with piles with them. Thanks for your advice and i know theres more important things to worry about during labour (im just one of those pregnant women who worry about anything)I dont let myself watch holby city any more coz the storylines with the pregnant women always got me thinking.I think its normal to worry anyway.ok im going to stop thinking about it now and just look forward to the birth and meeting my baby for the 1st time thanks!!!!!!!!!!!
