Hi I had my midwife booking in appointment yesterday and she said its fine to self medicate paracetamol without checking with a Dr or midwife but just make sure you don't take it too often. I had really bad sinusitis over xmas and new year and took 1-2 paracetamol no more than twice a day and that was only on bad days. hope that helps and hope your headache clears soon.

Hi, I agree...Ibuprofen is a definate no-no,.. Paracetamol is fine ive took it with all of my pregnancies as i suffer with really bad headaches and migraines constantly.. i take two with water- drink the whole glass, as sometimes headaches are actually caused from being dehydrated, my MW said, as you get dehydrated so easily when pg, obviously if you are coming down with flu its not the case.. but still drink loads of water, it helps flush your system!! I wouldn't use the 4head personally because it contains herbal ingredients which sometimes are more harmful than prescribed medicines... quote: # Not # to be taken during pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding, simply because the safety has not been established yet. Safe for asthma sufferers though do use in a well ventilated area as strong smells can make an asthmatic wheezy. You should not use any other product on your forehead at the same time as using 4head, or if you have a skin condition or broken skin.
quote: Don't assume 'natural' means safe Lots of alternative remedies are considered unsafe in pregnancy, including certain homeopathic remedies and Chinese herbs. Ask a qualified practitioner for advice, and always tell them you're pregnant.
hope this helps!! Emma. x
