yeah father of the year is coming with me to the scan!
Cant say im looking forward to seeing him either as i will probably end up feeling worse when i go back to my mums later but maybe this will make him see how much of an a**e he is being.

I feel as if i cant just relax and enjoy being pregnant at times and its a shame for the baby, as i feel as if him/her is getting a bit neglected coz all i have done is stress about everything. Does anyone else feel like this.

Bonio - thats great news about your scan and well done for not finding out what your having, im far to nosey not to know but maybe baby might be in the wrong position today to find out.

Jo - I think you should just take a few days off, you work too hard.
I worked in a pub for about 1 year and its hard work.

Well girls i have no room to decorate at the moment for baby but if things dont change between me and scott in the next couple of weeks then im buying my own place as im not waiting around for him for ever. He has been told that what happens now is up to him, so we can only wait and see what he does. His biggest problem is that ne needs to grow up!

Well im away to have some weetabix and a cuppa, try to sort myself out.

Take Care

Still at home avoiding the stress today but will go back to work tomorrow. It was just something simple like a bad headache, as you say, or a temporary increase in blood pressure due to stress, I am not actually worried about pre eclampsia, but it did point out to me that I have someone else to worry about and I have to go in there and make some demands on them or I am going to be off on stress leave before maternity leave! Although sitting here in the pj's with a cuppa on the computer for fun makes it sound pretty good...[Big Grin]

Have you all kitted out your nurseries etc already?? We haven't bought anything but 7 sleepers on sale on Sainsburys for less than a fiver. We've been waiting as we are likely moving out of London to Herts (probably Leighton Buzzard actually!) likely beginning of November. But now I am getting a bit paranoid that we aren't going to be ready if this kid comes early. I am 25 weeks but what happens if I do have a health scare and it needs to appear sooner than later?! And I honestly don't have a clue what to buy. I've been trying to find websites with product tests and it all seems overwhelming. We were generously given a lot of John Lewis vouchers for wedding gifts so we are going to try to get a lot there but I have no idea where to start... A whole travel system? A seperate car seat and seperate buggy? A moses basket to start or just go straight to a cot? Argh!

I wore my maternity jeans for the first time on Saturday walking around the Abergavenny Food Festival and had to keep hiking them up. Who made them to keep falling down?! How annoying! I need a belt!

glad you feeling better eb, take it easy, you and bump more important than work will ever be.

don't worry you will have everything sorted, it'll all come together at once, i've known people 2 weeks before due dates still not painted nursery so you'll be fine.

All the stuff i have read tigga says that you should have baby in your room for 6 months to lower risk of cot death. We have to have moses basket because our bedroom isn't big enough to fit cot into.

But all friends say that after he can't fit in moses basket 3 monthsish they start making noises in sleep anyway so you won't be able to sleep with him/her in your room anyway. So i'd say go with what feels right when it comes, but i would definately start with it inyour room. for ease aswell with night time feeds!!!

Tigga - it's lovely when you feel the baby for the first time isn't it.

As far as I can tell with babies it is a very much a trial and error thing, some babies take to Moses baskets and some don't, it's what every you and the baby find easiest, there really isn't a right or wrong, it's what ever works best for you and the baby. I know people who've used Moses baskets for ages, others who've only used a cot, other who have the baby sleep in bed with them and all those methods work well.

I think there needs to be less stress about what the baby needs before it is born, really they don't need much. I think the most important thing is probably a car seat if you want to take the baby out, and something for it to sleep in; now you may decide to go for a Moses basket only for the first few weeks and wait to get a cot. I know so so many people who have bought everything they thought they needed for the baby and ended up wasting money as they then realised they didn't need half the stuff they bought. I think the most sensible thing when buying stuff for the baby is to ask yourself how long will it last, if the answer is only a few weeks or months then ask yourself do they really need it and if so then don't spend a fortune on it as you'll be throwing money away.

Sorry I probably sound a bit grumpy about the whole thing but I just hate the way in our society we are forced into buying things we think we need just to line the pockets of big company bosses and to supposedly feel better about ourselves when really it makes us feel worse.

I probably need something to eat!

Jo - how are you doing? Is there anyway you can cut down your hours or try to deal with only certain things that will cause you the least stress?

Lisa - good luck with your scan!

Bonio x x

im going to tell you employer were to go maria, give me his phone num he he. They used to do it to me ALL the time, and once I cried coz i was literally out all day!
Dont they have an office junior who can roam the streets for a while?
Im all alone in the office today, even though its nice coz i can relax, I like company too. But you cant have it both ways I suppose! Think I might look for another Job when I get back from matleave but then again if I stay here I have a chance of becoming a partner one day. So it may just be worth it to stick at it !

So im not going insane maria? Good, I worry about everything.

xx

Morning,

Dont panic Nic, I was panicing that mine wasnt growing at all, 6mths pregnant with no bump!! but in the last week I dont seem to be able to move because of the bump!! So we are all having growth spurts and then slowing down again, like you say as long as he is still training to be the next england captain with his kicking then try not to worry.

Cant wait to see your nursery Nic, and I bet you cant wait to have your little Evan ( did you decided on Evan?) in his first bed room Smiler

It was great to see your scan Bonio, your little baby looks content and gorgeous, and well done on not finding out babies sex! We will all find out in not so much time!!

Glad that everything is going well for your baby girl Lisa, did they say anymore about the antikell?

Hope you are feeling better Eb and Aly, and that baby is still doing somersaults for you Tigga Smiler

Maria, its no problem at all if you need me to scan stuff, always happy to help Smiler How are you feeling today?

Thanks for your concerns regarding the crappy job I do Smiler I had a word with my boss yesterday, adn just explained that I am worried that I am not keeping as up to date as I should be, and the last thing i want to do is let my work slip, so if cutting back on my hours is do able then, lets do it!! so I think I will be training someone to do the kitchen so that when I do finish in November it doesnt leave the relief manager stuck in the kitchen, which is fab, but we need to have a meeting about it for some reason, so have to wait until a week thursday for anything to be agreed, at least its a step in the right direction.

I have waffled on for long enough, hope everyone is ok, and not too sleepy, big kisses to bumps

Jo
