Hi Pesto and Emmaleigh I'm due 29th Jan too (my mums birthday as well), think I'm having a boy but not confirmed, used to think it was a girl until scan and sure we saw some dingly dangly bits.[:I] Jo, I phoned for my next midwife appt (Wednesday 17th) and spoke to the tyrant at the desk. Said I have flu, her reply was the doctor can't give anything for flu, doh.... Anyway I asked to speak to midwife, but she was busy so they said they'd get her to phone me. Thing is, I have a recurrent sore throat/pharynxgitis, sometimes loose my voice and end up having to get antibiotics cause it gets (sorry) pus in it. I just don't want it to get to that stage, as we all know antibiotics cause thrush etc and the last time I had this was in my bed 1 week and lost 6lb in weight. Keeping the energy up by drinking warm irn-bru, lovely, if its too cold it hurts throat. Aly x

Hi maria I don't heat it up, I just let it sit on the working top until it becomes room temp, don't put in fridge. My dog keeps barking, annoying me, I chucked mouldy bread out for the birds, but a squirrel is eating it and if she catches squirrel it will be mincemeat. Thanx for advice, one paracetamol won't do any harm. Loved your photos Nic and and Jo - your hair is so curly, your wee baby boy might have curly hair, mine does, blond curls and I don't want to cut them off - hopefully I'll get some pics e-mailed out. take care everyone and have a lovely weekend, I'm off for a lie down and to read my Ok mag, Jordan looks lovely, like a pink meringue kind of way. This forum is addictive, what happens when we all give birth - will we type with one hand while breastfeeding LOL [ ] Aly x

Sorry me again, thats pathetic about your results Jo, don't they understand that as time goes on things change. baby is growing all the time and if you have something that needs treatment then the sooner the better. My sis Del in London, had suspected protein in her urine, she gave sample, phoned for result the lab had lost it, so she had to give another, 2 in 2 weeks, she's 28 weeks preg. Take care Aly x

hello Girlies How you all getting on? My mum bought me babys coming home suit on sunday. its gorgeous. Its like an all in one body suit with a hood and its really think and cuddly. Cant wait now. His room is painted now, and i have finished adjusting his curtains. I bought a lovely light shade from toys are us! its really cute. Are any of you having the cot in the room before your babies are born? My mum said you are not supposed to coz its bad luck! But i wanted everything in the babies room ready before he was born. I have not had much movement lately from baby boy, I have had the odd kick and the odd punch but not as much as before. My mum said its because he may be lay funny plus he still has room to move around as he is only small still. It still un-nerves me though! So how has everyones weekend been? Ive been rushing around everywere trying to get stuff, so gonna have a calm week this week I think. Nic xx

Morning Girls, Glad to hear you had a productive weekend Nic, and baby boys room is almost done The coming home suit sounds so cute Its another old wives thing about the cot not being brought into the house, before the baby is born. it s the same with prams, it is supposed to be bad luck, but you do what ever makes you happy. I personally am not superstitous and will be having everything ready for when baby boy arrives, if that makes you feel any better I had a busy weekend, worked sat, went to a house warming in leighton buzzard, which knackered me right out. I was being introduced as the pregnant lady. people just stare at my stomach as if to say, you just look fat, not pregnant. did my head in a bit. am totally shattered now. cant believe the one day off i get has gone again, I am going to have to speak to my boss, and see if I can do someting about it. I hope you all had lovely weekends. How are you feeling Lisa about your scan today? excited?? and where is Bonio with the results of her scan. I hope everything is well Maria did you have any hot chocolate fudge cake?? xx

Morning Girls, Hows everyone today? Well its scan day for me today girls and I feel really nervous!!! My appointment is at 2pm so i will post at home later on and let everyone know how i get on but fingers crossed everything is okay. Nic, I have had less movements some days than others, but the movements are biggar and stronger now too. I think the baby is lying in my back and it is kicking against something as i feel it more banging into things at turning rather than kicks at times. Oh i feel sick with nerves! Take Care Everyone Lisa xxx

Hi Ladies and Bumps, Welcome to the new girls. Hope you are all well today, blimey you've all been so busy it's taken me ages to read through all the posts and catch up. Sorry I've not posted I've been so so busy at work I've barely had time to breathe or eat! Had my scan on Friday, DH was so nervous he had really sweaty palms before we went in, bless! But everything is normal and the size it should be for 20 weeks so we are so relieved and happy. It's so weird to be able to see the baby before it's born, I thought I would cry but I was too excited. The baby was moving all over the place and did a really sweet eye rubbing move. The sonographer was really nice and printed us for good pictures and we did resist and not find out the sex. I've scanned in the pictures and will e-mail you as I've got your addresses and I'll get DH to take a photo to me to which I'll send on later. Can everyone reply and send me a picture of yourself as I think I've missed out on that. Went to Devon to see our friends on the weekend and we all got together and cooked a lovely roast dinner, it was annoying to say the least when everyone got drunk, talked at each other at the same time and no on listened to me at all at one point. I had 2 late nights on midnight and felt really tired as I haven't been to bed after 10 for the last 4 months so it was a bit of a shock! Eb - you may have had a migraine, a lady at work one day had really really bad visual disturbances but with no pain and it was migraine, she was really scared, but it seems there are quite a few different types of migraine that can do some strange things. Aly, how about taking some Vitamin C (500mg - 1000mg) to boost you immune system and shake that cold, it's good for the babies development too. I'd try to go for a brand that doesn't contain artificial sweeteners. One of my bosses is in Turkey for a whole week so I should have a really nice week at work and not bee too busy. Bonio x x x
