Morning Girls,

Welcome to Alyson.

I'm 34 (gosh am I the oldest?) and I'm 15+5 due 2 Feb (1st baby) although at first I predicted 31 Jan which is why I'm staying on the January thread as I'm convinced I the baby will come early.

Nic I'm so happy for you that you're now in your new home, how exciting! I can't wait to feel the baby start to wriggle, I do lay very still some times and think I can feel a slight wriggle but then convince myself it's just wind as they say from the 16th week onwards you'll feel movements, most people I know felt the first movements about the 18th weeks.

Well I've had a sad few days as My sister had an ectopic pregnancy and was rushed into hospital for surgery on Thursday so she's very sore and quite down I went to visit her yesterday and we were talking about my baby and she burst into tears at the loss of hers, she has got 2 lovely boys though 5 and 2 but would love to have a little girl, bless her.

I've slept so much this weekend, I thought I was into my feeling more energetic period but obviously not! And I have been feeling quite ill too, had a bit of a funny turn this morning as I rushed down the stairs and out the door too quickly and felt quite faint had to come back in and sit down for a minute.

Anyway, apart for that I'm feeling okay and my tummy is growing, I'm hoping it won't be too hot this week as it makes me really tired as well.

Bye for now,

Bonio x x

Good Morning Girlies,

Im so glad to hear everyone is feeling good today!!!!

Im so sorry to hear about your sister Bonio, I hope she feels better soon....

Im so excited for you Nic, you sound so much happier now I bet you are glad thats it all over and done with. Moving house is one of the most stressful things you can do, well that and being pregnant I think!!!!

Well my weekend was a bit of a nightmare as scott had an accident at his work on Thursday so i have spent the weekend in and out of hospital visiting him. But the main thing is he is okay but he has broken his wrist and will be in plaster for at least 6 weeks.

We have got our appointment with the consultant today to find out more about this blood thing so im a bit nervous as to what they will say but fingers crossed that all will be okay.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, I'm fine just a bit worried that my sister will get depressed about the whole thing but I'll keep an eye on her and give her some reflexology which will really help.

My scan is not until 16th September at 2pm - great I get the whole afternoon off work as the hospital is quite a way away, yippy! We're going to wait until the birth to find out if were having a boy or girl. It's exciting but worrying at the same time....the scan that is, not the sex.

Oh Lisa you've had a bit of a weekend of it too! Keep us posted as to what they say about the blood.

Bonio x x

Hello ladies
I think I need a visit from house makeover team, I need to make this spare room/office into a baby room but have no idea where else in the house I can put all the junk. Garage is full of unopenend boxes from when we moved here 4 years ago and the loft will probably fall in on top of us. Think I'll hire a skip. Well done Nic for your house move, its an exciting and stressful event, bit like having a baby.
Sorry to hear Bonios sad news. Its hard when you are pregnant yourself. A girl I was at college with lost her baby at 13 weeks the week I found out I was pregnant, I felt so bad for her, I met her a couple of weeks ago and she said she and hubby were trying again, fingers crossed for her!
I have appointment at 3.20pm today for blood test, the ones to test for spina bifida and downs syndrome. Bit nervous of needles and outcome of test result! Feel sick just thinking about it.
My baby has been moving quite a lot, been feeling flutterings for about ten days now. I think i might been having a girl so I'm going to ask at my 20 week scan if they can tell me baby's sex, my husband, Ken wants a surprise. Everytime I ask him "what do you think were having?" he says "a baby". Men just don't understand, do they!
Speak to you later

Thanks for the advice about my teeth brushing problem. I tried using my son's "milk teeth" toothpaste, it's quite mild mint flavour and that worked quite well. So long as my teeth don't fall out.

Morning all Smiler

I hope your blood tests went ok Alyson, and you didnt have a novice doing it, like I had for my last ones!! I was bruised for over 2 weeks, I think she may have been a butcher in a previous life Smiler So when is your next scan? I think I am having a girl too, but just cant wait to find out. (3 days to go Maria!!!!!!![Big Grin][Big Grin][Big Grin])
I hope your appointment with the consultant went alright for you yesterday Lisa, and you have more information about what is going on.

Hows the new house Nic, I bet its getting more homely by the day, andI hope you are still smiling Smiler

and as for you Maria 3 days!!!!! its all i can think about at the mo!!! I cant contain myself!!!

Hope all is good with you Bonio, you must have some will power to wait until the birth to know the sex of your baby. I can understand why some parents to be do and some dont, it is an exciting thing no matter when you chose to do it. Smiler

Right I have gone on for long enough! big kisses for all the bumps!!

Hi everyone,

I'm hungry too, had a big vegetable lasagne last night at about 7.30, by 8.30pm was starving and had to have toast and marmite, woke at 1.30 for a wee and was really hungry again but was then longing for...guess what...yes pineapple again and oranges and apples, I must say I am so glad my cravings are healthy ones..so far!

Saw the Midwife this morning, all blood tests normal, urine normal, blood pressure normal and heard the baby's heart beat again although it was hard to track down as it was wriggling all over the place, bless.

Nic do you have low blood pressure? Just wondering if that's why you are craving salt? Cheeky blighters parking on your grass!

Hmm I really fancy peanut butter on toast but have no bread or peanut butter at work, I've got some butter but that's not much good on it's own!

I was in Tesco first thing this morning and for the first time my tummy felt more heavy than normal and I really felt pregnant, I guess the baby's starting to move up and out now so I will start to notice it weighting more and the placenta is starting to grow now too which will add weight, perhaps that's why I'm really hungry as the placenta is growing so my body needs the extra energy.

Must tell you about my strange dream the other night, I had the baby and it was the size of a chilli seed! I left hospital with it wrapped in a napkin, the wind blew and blew my baby away, I was very upset that my baby had blown away but didn't seem concerned that it was only the size of a chilli seed! Very funny though!

Take care,

Bonio x x

I had an odd dream last night too, not as funny as yours Bonio, but I dreamt that everyone thought that my friend Linsey was the one having my hubbys baby, even though she is skinny as a rake, and I was waddling around with a massive bump, but no one would believe me!!!

I'm craving apples too Bonio, which I am thankful for as I have never been a big fruit eater. going to have one now actually! Hope your turkey and salt was nice Nic Smiler, and just an idea if the neighbours dont fancy moving their car off your grass, hire yourself a tractor and see how they like it Razzer
