I'm a mother of 3 ... my eldest son is almost 20, daughter is 17, and youngest is 4 1/2. My husband and I use condoms faithfully, but last Thursday ... um, it decided to slip off inside of me before he ejaculated. We called my doctor's office immediately and our nurse of many years said "Congratulations", because she knows how fertile I am. Anyhow, my question is ... can it be possible to get pregnant 3 days before your period?? I normally bleed for 6 days, but I started Sunday evening and stopped last night. I thought that was unusual. I also have this tight, pulling feeling in my lower abdomen, I thought maybe it was gas, but nothing is helping it. I remember this being present during my last pregnancy! I also know it is too early to take a pregnancy test, but I do have an appointment for the 17th of this month, so maybe I will find out then.

Well first of all go to your doctor and find out for sure and then talk to hubby and work out if this is something you'd both want. I've always thought these things happen for a reason. Good Luck.

If you are certain of your dates and when you normally ovulate then you cannot get pregnant 3 days before your period, the egg would have long since been gone. But if you haven't been keeping track of fertile times of the month and had any creamy or egg white (fertile) like cm at the time then yes you might have been fertile and could get pregnant, but I would say it was very unusual to have your period only a few days later, only time will tell. There is such a thing as implantation spotting which normally occurs when the egg burrows into the uterine lining but this usually happens about 7 days to 12 days after you ovulate, not 3.

The tight pulling feeling could be because your stressing? the body acts weird when you stress, even to the point where you can delay your period due to stressing about being pregnant.. You should talk about all your options with ur husband and doctor just to be prepaired incase you are pregnant.
