Hello all. Just thought I'd let you all know that I gave birth on 23rd Dec to a little boy 9lb 6oz. Made it before xmas!!! 3rd baby worst labour. Need some tips on how to handle my 21 month old with the new arrival. v disruptive at the minute and I'm feeling quite awful about bringing a new one in to the home.He really doesn't understand. CONGRATS!! wat a fab weight (bet u wenr thinking that at the time hey!! [:I]) wat have u called ur lil one?? must have had one exciting xmas....
i only have the one and am TTC number 2...but ive heard u can do things like...look wat the new baby got u..so toddler feels some attachment to the new gift bearing family member...
sorry i cant advise as havent been in this situation..but wanted to say a big congrats...and also...bit shcked third labor was worst as i herd it got easier!!

hi hun congratulations [] try getting your little one involved, like when you change the babys nappy ask him to pass you a clean one or when u bath the new baby get your little one to help clean the baby, these tips helped my sister with her son when she had her daughter, some toddlers feel left out when theres a new baby around, so try and get the little one involved hope this helps

Thanks girls, I've called him Lewis, it was Lawrence for a couple of days but I don't think it suited him and DH kept calling him Lewis so it kind of stuck really. I'd heard labours supposed to get easier too but not in my case (just my luck), my 1st was the easiest. My other little one is coming round to the idea I think. I get him involved as much as I can without overwhelming him. Poor thing he's had rather an eventful xmas this year. Good luck girls and take care. Julielou
