I'm new to this forum but could do with advice please. I've been trying for a baby for the past 18 months ( I'm 39yrs). My period is 10 days late but pregnancy test was negative. Normally my periods are regular as clockwork. Any ideas??

i don't really know what to suggest - i think if you were preg it would probably be showing up on a test by now especially as you say yr cycles are so regular
the only time i've ever had anything similar myself was when i missed 2 periods for no particular reason. i went to my docs about it after i missed the second one and she said that occasionally it can happen and was just about to run some tests when it turned up.
saying that though, i have heard of cases where women have been nearly 3 wks late before they get a positive preg test so it is a possibility i suppose!
what i would suggest is that if yr period hasn't arrived in another week, i'd go to the docs and see what they have to say.

hi one thing i would say i it may be too soon to show up make sure it is a morning sample i have 4 negtive tests and by the time it showed posative i was 10 weeks pregnet good luck
