Good Morning!!

Only 9 more monday mornings to go!!!!! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Thank you for the best wishes gilies, I had a lovely weekend. We went to see Blood Brothers on saturday night (my 5th time!!!! Eeker) which was fantastic as it always is. The only problem was that the theatre was really hot and I nearly fainted during the second half and had to spend 10 mins outside with my head between my legs!! Roll Eyes

I had a lovely day yesterday and was completely spoilt rotten - only what I deserve!!!!! Wink Was a little depressed that I am now 32 though, makes me feel a little bit sick really.

I think I am definitely heading out of the fabulous second trimester - full force into the third!! With the insomnia last week (slept all weekend at night though thank god!!), heartburn and hot flushes have kicked in full force!!!!! Oh the joys!!!!

All your lovely prams sound fab. Still a bit dubious about mine, it is very heavy, but it was free so it will do and will just have to get a snazzy buggy when the time comes instead!!!

JP - yay to pain free weekend!!!! Big Grin

Do we have scans or MW appointments this week????

morning all, hope you had a nice weekend.

ali, glad you had a nice bday, sorry your feeling shity but woohoo to the third tri approching, can't believe it. it's so exciting.

nat, yay to getting pram, i have been plesantly surprised with how little i have actually spent on baby so far, only a couple of hundred pounds, but family and friends are buying all the big stuff for me, lucky me.

cherie, thanks for thise codes i still need to get smart nappies from mothercare so think i will use them.

do you all know about asdas big baby event? they've got loads of good deals this week, i got 6 tommee tippee close to nature bottles (excellent if your mixxing bf and bottle feeding) for £10, which are £13 for 4 in mothercare, also got the breast pump for £10 which is £25 in mothercare.

teri, how exciting going for a 4d scan i wish i was but we don't want to risk ruining the sex surpise.

well better so and get some breakfast, i'm starving but been holding of, i'm going to aquanatal today and it starts at 12 noon so will be a late lunch.

nic xx

Hi mummies and mummies-2-be

Just a quick note to say that I am still around and doing well. Just been mega busy with work since New Year - have been staying in Bristol and last week in Darlington for training. So not much time to access the web.

I have another m/w appt tomorrow which I'm looking forward to - but I have been delighted to feel the kicks getting stronger already. We'll be human punch bags over the next few months for sure. Just noticed the ticker is charting boy / girl or surprise. Definitely a surprise for me - but I have a suspicion it could be another girl!

Sorry I haven't caught up with the news properly yet. Hope you all had great holidays - I'm sure you did and Hogmenays too! Happy Birthday Ali for yesterday.

Loocy - hope you had a lovely time at the birthday party and managed to get lots of pics. You can never have enough!

Will try and post again tomorrow once I've managed to catch up!

Lozzie x

hi ladies

lozzie - great to hear you're doing ok

3d mums - feeling very left out now I'm not buying a new pram!! Frowner

ALi - Happy belated birthday! Glad you had such a great time - you must really be feeling huge now - I know I do and I'm a couple weeks behind you!

Nic - thanks for heads up on asda event - how cheap were those tommee tippee?! I'm hoping to use those too

Well had rubbish weekend of feeling really down in the dumps over nothing at all. Poor Dp had to wait on me hand and foot and reassure me every 5 mins that I wasn't fat/ugly/frumpy/looking old/boring/etc etc...he blames it on the fact that when I did my shopping I didn't throw in a baby or pregnancy mag like I normally do but instead chucked a celebrity gossip/fashion mag into the trolley instead....when we got home and I had my 20 min green tea break..I got all depressed at the glam photos and gorgeous clothes I can't fit into etc. Feeling really frumpy right now...anyone else get these unexplainable mood downers? Must be hormones but I was so miserable and kept crying and huffing and generally being a right cow!! DP was fantastic tho - very reassuring and supportive. Bless him - what an old boot I've turned into this week!! Roll Eyes

Anyhoo - he made me go online and buy some new clothes (I haven't really bothered with any maternity stuff apart from the little marks and spencer order I placed ages ago) so went onto the blooming marvellous sale and got some lush jeans for £9.99 and £14.99 - reduced from £39.99!! Bargain! Also got an email from Ikea to say they are now delivering in my area....hurrah!!! No more tredging up to Bristol and battling the store - I can do it all from my bottom at home! They have some fantastic baby stuff that is so cute, brilliant bargains and lots of colour which is nice change from cream I think. Going to get baby's bedding etc from there in March.

Also - have negotiated my maternity leave with my clients and am now stopping at 29 weeks (beginning of March) - I'm feeling the need to take some time to enjoy my pregnancy. Its been a tough haul and now I'm feeling physically fitter I'd like some time to bond and enjoy it. Took us a long time to get here so going to take the time to be thankful. Mat pay starts from 29 weeks if I want it to so we're not losing any money. It stops mid december (I get 39 weeks) and I may or may not return to work next january - see how I feel. DP says I can give up if I want now that he has his new better paid job but we'd lose some luxuries so I'll have to think carefully about it nearer the time.

Well enough selfishly going on about me...I'm off out to try and cheer myself up! Bloody hormones!!!!!

Zoe know exactly what you mean - seems to be every friday I feel really down and just want to cry all day Frowner dont know what it is. So totally sympathise with you... Laughing at the magazines I did that at the weekend usually pick up baby or pregnancy one, but picked up closer and heat and totaly depressed me - even the pregnant stars looked great - think I need pampering.

DH had ordered me lots of champenys toiletries specially for pregnant women for my birthday so hopefully that will help and getting hair coloured on Friday so might just throw in a facial while I there Smiler

Lozzie with you on the human punchbag, some of these little kicks and punches really hurting now - good to feel that baby okay and moving but gentler ones would be good Smiler

Nicnak, cant wait for scan but know what you mean - I was warned when I booked the scan that they are that clear you could probably make out yourself what sex baby is. thanks for tips on Asda goodies - might venture in tomorrow if back feels better.

Still waiting on Physio app - was two weeks ago I called and midwife reminded them last Thursday - starting to get peeved. And as for headaches, midwife laughed and said oh we do put ourselves through it dont we..... hmmmmm didnt help...

Anyway enough moaning from me - away to get some washing done xx

afternoon ladies, havent been on all weekend as im still being ill.dont think its pregnancy sickness though .im fine as long as i dont eat or drink anything, all i want to do is sleep, but trying to pull myself together today as dh had to go to work and i have to look after ds,who is alittle peach and really well behaved.

glad most of you had good weekend, jennipenni, glad your feeling better now.

ever-know exactly how you feelabout the feeling fat and ugly thing ,mine comes and goes but just these last few days ive felt so unattractive,dh reassures me he still fancies me but finding it a bit hard to believe, and i know im feeling very insecure because hes arranged to go out for burns night and i really dont want him to,not that i would say anything.
i dont know why i should feel like that i never have before,i hate these flippin hormones!!

racheljade-goodluck with your scan today.

sorry i havent done many personals, feeling pretty crappy have to go hopefully back soon, love lisaxxx

sorry to hear about everyone's downers - I was the same too over the weekend and DH and I fought like cat and dog all day saturday... just sniping at each other and bickering. Frowner Blinkin hormones...I hate it when there's a bad atmosphere in the house. Anyway we were friends again yesterday although after the party I was too exhausted to make up properly Wink It's his birthday today, though, so he's on a promise!!!

Lozzie - fab to hear from you and glad all is well. Another surprise baby - how exciting!!! LOL on the human punch bag. last night I was giving DD her bottle before bed and she was lying against my tummy but must have squished bubs because I felt this little hammering on my insides as if to say "Get off my head!!!"

Ever - so glad you've sorted out your mat leave - you can now focus on your date for leaving and concentrate on enjoying relaxing for the remainder of it. Smiler I know what you mean about giving up work though and having to give up luxuries. I think DH and I could just about survive on his wage, but it would be really really tough and we'd have to really scrimp and save and watch every penny. But, then again, we'd have to pay for 2 lots of childcare - at least your wee man will be in school!!!!!

Lisa - sounds like you have that nasty bug that's doing the rounds, poor you. Take care of yourself!
RJ Good luck today for your scan

love to the rest of you

Good afternoon everyone!!

sscan went great lots of water and the blood is flowing corectly to stanley so so far no repercussion of what happened with dd last time. i was quite cheeky and asked the sonographer if she could tell me the sex and she was quite stern and said

"youa are here to check the health of your baby not to knwo the sex and it is not our policy to tell you"

dh was killing hiself laughing in the corner.

dd has been a bit weird the past few days dont know if any of you 3 rd time mummys have experenced it before but she literally wont leave my side and keeps telling me she loves me every 5 mins im ot complaining i always love a ellie-may cuddle but just curious why she has stardted being like it shes not like it woth dh.

nik - i have nt ordered my 3d yet gonna get it when dh gets paid ed of the month. i really like the jet sport or the cargo. i am quite excited lol as its one of the only really new things stanley will be getting. poor hand me down child lol

cherie- thanks for those codes ive got a few things i want to order off there.

ali- happy belated bday glad you had a great day. cant quite belive your nearly in the 3rd trimester times flying.

zoe- not long left for maternity for you then. im gonna try and work up too 37 weeks as i did with dd. i get 6 months full pay then 3 months smp then a futrher 3 months unpaid but i think due to finances i will be back after 6 months.

lisa- hope you feel better soon.

jenni- yay to a good weekend its just a shame they go so fast.

loocy- glad that dd had a grat party its scary how quick they grow up isnt it.

rach-jade - just a thought but DD might be reacting a little bit to the dog going. Don't worry if she is - it won't last five minutes - she'll have forgotten within days. That sonographer sounded a right prim prude! No wonder DH was laughing in the corner!

Loocy - you might find you get some handy tax credits when you have to pay 2 sets of childcare! You definatly going back to work after your leave?

Lisa - you sound poorly hun not pregnancy related so curl up and relax - it'll pass soon enough x

Teri = I did read in my mag that JLo is really depressed about her weight gain (even tho she looks fab!) and her DH is really getting put through the wringer cos she is so bitchy to him apparently! So it aint just us normal folk!!

Anyway - just a quick hi while DP is watching the world rally (yawn!) so I actually get some time on the PC in the evening for once!! Off to window shop on the ikea website! Can't splash out just yet - have to wait til March as our spare cash for feb is allocated Frowner chat tomorrow! Night x

lisa ((((hugs))) feel better soon lovie.

i'm feeling crappy today have earache!!

aquanatal was great yesterday, the instructor was fab and all the other mums to be were really nice, and i actually felt sore last night like i had been to the gym, so i know it did me some good.

also got my xmas sales bonus yesterday so went baby shopping and bought loads of cute bits and bobs for bubs, think i might spend the rest of it on a bit of pampering for me before i go back to work.
