Hi girls hope you all had good weekends. Mine was far too busy but DH took me shopping for my birthday yesterday which was lovely Big Grin

Ever - sorry to hear about problems with your mum, you poor lamb. I have a really difficult relationship with my MIL so can sympathise to some extent although obviously don't have all the history you have. You should be proud of yourself as a mum and proud that you aren't going to make the mistakes your mum made and that's the important thing. At the end of the day, it's your mum that's missing out on a wonderful relationship with you and with her grandchildren. I know that doesn't make it any easier, though!! And as for Gretna, that sounds wonderful!!! How utterly romantic! Although I think you still have to book it and can't just turn up these days like you used to!!! As for flying, Ryanair allow you to fly up to 28 weeks without a problem and then up to 36 weeks if you have a doctor's note saying all is ok so you could get hitched quite late on if you wanted to!!!!

cherie - sorry to hear about your headaches - I get really bad dehydration headaches if I don't drink enough water, but when I do drink lots of water I end up spending half my life on the loo!!!

nicnak - I laughed out loud at your comment about a boy with tiny little bits!!! The images that I have in my head. Oh and DH and I have started to sort things out on that front too.. pulled myself together at the weekend Big Grin Wink

love
loocy xx

Nicnak, laughing at the thongs, can assure you would not attempt them in my present (beached whale) state Smiler made me laugh though hehe x

Mantha, whey on pram, I just cant make up my mind... dont really walk a lot (I know lazy cow) so definately need one with car seat as that I use a lot so I keep swaying between silvercross 3d in coast and the Graco quatro deluxe in oakwood ..... decisions decisions - wish they were all this easy Smiler

Anyway away to clean out cupboards x

Hi girls!

Zoe - me & DF just want to elope, neither of us can be bothered with the whole shebang. we looked at maybe doing it in the swiss alps, with a horse drawn sleigh taking us to the ceremony, and a log cabin to stay in! It looks so magical! And the package price was only about £1k. I cant believe the favouritism in yoru family Frowner

Teri - i have had thrush 3 times this pregnancy too! We have the graco quattro deluxe, i love it! Been testing it with Bethans baby annabelle LOL

looocy - hope you got soemthing nice for your birthday!

lisa- discharge has all gone, thankfully Smiler Hope all is well today, with the scan!

Ellie - I put my feet up all weekend, but didnt give up the nookie Wink Hope teh house situation is working out better

Lea - hope you are feeling a bit better Smiler

nic - yay to getting your pram! have you been playing with it? lol i cant leave mine alone

Mantha - my brother has given us a bertini, but i dont know if i will use it, the tyres seem a bit fiddly to pump up, and its huge! looks very comfy for baby though, so may use it for long walks instead of every day stuff. My brother lived in a top floor flat, so they only used it twice! Glad you got a pram you like though

Well, i had to go to the hospital last night & this morning Frowner My fingers were so swollen, i couldnt bend them, then i got a pounding headache. With the placenta problems i have, i knew these were danger signs, so went & had them checked out. Blood pressure is fine, so they let me go as long as i came back this morning for blood tests, swabs & the like. LOL they were very thorough, and rushed my bloods through so i am just waiting for them to call me back with the results. Not expecting there to be a problem though Smiler

Hope you are all well!

Hope your fingers etc have gone down Frowner xx

On for my usual 12pm fix! I've noticed I've become quite the creature of habit since I've decided I'm going to have some time as a stay home mum in a couple of months - almost like I need to know that I'm not going to be bored or something - need to have the security of certain things happening at certain times!

ANYHOO!!

Thank you for all your supportive comments re my crappy saturday - it helps so much to know that I'm not mad or bitter or anything - that other people agree that things are a bit disfunctional to say the least!

Mantha - thanks for saying that - made a lot of sense. So thrilled for you getting a lush new pram - you deserve it after waiting so long for your baby beanie to get here so why shouldn't you spoil it a little!! Will this be your last do you think? I'm going to hopefully have more - provided nature lets me! Just going to stomach the hyperemis if it returns. If you did have another you could justify your expense by reusing it!!

Jenpen - hoping the bloods come back fine - although as you say - bound to be ok if your blood pressure wa snormal - good for your hospital tho to be so quick and thorough! Your wedding idea sounds divine - and not too expensive either!

Teri/Nicnak - I'm the opposite - can't imagine life without thongs! Since getting a bump I have had to switch to shorts instead (can't wear normal briefs as hate them riding up my bottom - ironic I know for a thong wearer!!!) Have to confess I have never in my life had thrush - wondering how I've avoided it - I do only wear cotton thongs/shorts, never wear pants in bed etc but I honestly think its to do with my diet - I was vegetarian for about 10 years so because of that compensated by having lots of healthy bacteria yogurts etc and even now - I've eaten meat for about 5 years now but only those reared in a certain way and I avoid things that contain gelatine etc and over processed food that has chemicals and stuff in. Never had cystitis either so must be something to do with what I am eating and drinking?....might be worth a little investigation on your girls part perhaps? I am a hardened beer drinker mind (when not preggers!) maybe the wheats and stuff in beer is good for my pipes too?! Big Grin

Loocy - get in there girl!!! Wink Wink Nice thank you pressie for DH for taking you shopping! Thanks for info on ryan air - that gives me abit of time actually....

Teri - must say I was going to PM you today if we hadn't heard from you - was starting to get worried!

Cheryl - poor you with the headaches! Don't worry about work for heavens sake - like you say baby is number 1 and work will have to get used to you being gone soon enough!!

nicola - glad my mum isn't the only one who forgets certain members of her family!! I'm going to take a break from that side of the family for a bit - dad and my step mum are being so supportive at this time and when I was so sick my step mum came over to clean my toilet and hoover up etc so that I would at least be sick in a clean environment! So I am going to be very grateful for their support and just let mum do her own thing. I'm lucky to have a dad and step mum who do loads for me and thats more than many people have! (Although sadly dad thinks weddings are a waste of money which is why he won't ever pay anything towards any of our weddings!!!COmes from the fact he's married 3 times I suspect! Eeker)

Right must go off and do some work - loads of housework to do - but am thrilled to announce that after 5 years of waiting I finally have a dishwasher!!! Yippee!!!! And it was only £30 second hand - bargain! Dad went with DP to pick it up sunday night and its lush - almost new!!

afternoon everyone!!

srry not been on over the weekend me and dh have finally got our butts into gear and sorted out the spare room. we've decided we not gonna do anything exciting with it at the mo (it was only magnolia'd like a year ago) till bubs is here then can do it boyee or girly.

sent dh up in the loft to get down dd old baby clothes the natural stuff and my god 6bin bags later we really went over the top with dd brought loads of natural outfits then sods law as soona s she was born i wanted pink and girly clothes hence when i opened the bags there was tonnes of stuff with tags still on. dh just gave me a look out of the corner of his eye hahahah so gonna get it all washed up we definatley not gonna need to get babygro's or vests so we have decided that we gonna put buy some money each month then wen stanley is here and we know if he is a boy or girl i can go out and spend on clothes and get nursery done then.

zoe- so sorry your mum is being so funny i hate favourites. my dad has a son with my step mum and hes a lovely boy but hes so spolt. like at xmas he got a laptop and a ps3 i just made a comment of me and my bro never got presents like that. my dad just said he didnt have the money when we were little. he was a single parent. just do what me a dh did go down the registry office and get hitched then in 10 yrs you can always have a lavish do to renew your vowes.

jp- glad dischsrg has stopped your so calm about everyhting i must be a neurotic mother or something cuz i would have freaked hahahaha

ange/ali- i dont think its bad wanting a certain sex 1st time. i knew from the get go i was having a girl i just felt it it was weird everyone said i was having a boy bu i knew i was having a girl.,, if dd had of been a boy im sure my maternal instict would have kicked in stilla nd loved him. this time i really do think im having a nother girl.

mantha- pushcahir sounds lovely silver crosses are gorgeous.

loocy- i am gonna ask about the whole being indiced thing cuz i am truly petrified of going into labour naturally. i loved the epidural and as much as anyone said to me i wouldnt feel her be born they were wrong i felt every bit of her coming out was like a ring of fire hahahahaha

rite i better go

rach'jade

p,s, just to let you all know groin is good today but have told dh we gotta keep of it for at least another week. lol

Teri - I just cant get comfy at nights and its doing my head in. Dr thinks I might be low in iron and that might be causing the headaches so had a blood test taking on Fri and get the results Wed. Hope your feeling better hun x

Nic - Cant believe we will be off soon on maternity leave, I cant wait! I worked out that I only have 9 weeks of work left once I go back woo hoo!!
Im not sure about aquanatal now because I just cant seem to plan anything as I dont know how I will be feeling. Will let you know for sure next week.

Looocy - Thats the worst thing I know I should be drinking lots of water but I just hate having to pee all through the night! So annoying!

Jenni - your poor thing hope your fingers have gone down now

Ever - Im so jealous wish I could have a dishwasher but there is just no room for one in my little kitchen Frowner

I have noticed when I look at my bump its sticking out more at one side, is this normal?

Right better go and make a start on dinner feeling hungry again even though I just scoffed a packet of jaffa cakes 10 mins ago Big Grin

Speak to you all soon

Cheryl

Hi Girlies & bumps.

Ali - Today has been a lovely birthday, thanks for asking. We got to see Beanie and he/she is doing really well. It was sticking out its tongue to have a drink at the scan. I am also really feeling Beanie kick now and DH has felt it kicking twice today for the first time which was lovely.

I have been to the cinema to watch I Am Legend and it scared the life out of me. I am not sure if I will sleep tonight, but it was a good film.

Nic - I like the Silvercross 3D pram in pistachio but I went to Babies R Us & Mothercare and they didn't have that model. I really want to see it before definately settling on that colour.

Lisa - I hope your scan went well.

Cherie - PM'd you hun.x

I hope everyone else is well, sorry I haven't done many personals as there is so much to read.

Ange

jenpen, glad blood tests came back ok, hope all stays well for your appt on wed. i laughrd so hard for so long at the metal picture of you pushing baby annabelle round the house in your pram, dh asked what the hell was so funny, i've had a bit of a play about with mine, but unfortunatly i don't have any dolls in the house to make it more realistic, so just been folding and unfolding and changing from pram to pushchair.

ali, wish i had a duvet day, soooooooo tired!!

ange, happy birthday honey, glad you had a good day and a good scan, babie's r us have dicontinued the pishashio and mothercare don't do it, sorry have no idea where else you can get it. will keep an eye out for you.

cheryl, think i'm definatly doing aquanatal on monday and friday next week so just let me know love, i think bubs can stay to one side of your tum and make it look lopsided, unless it's perminent i don't think you need to worry.

rach-jade, glad your getting sorted out for bubs arriving, i'm trying not to get too much clothes wise until after the birth too, so i know what to get.

zoe i swapped to shorts after nurse told me about thongs as well, but to be honest i still get thrush often!!!!!

looocy glad you got some!!! i also got dh in the sack this week, wooohoo Big Grin Big Grin

terihope you had a nice day cleaning Roll Eyes

im getting really scared now, people keep commenting on my big bump, when i tell people i'm not due til may and that this is my first, their eyes go all big and they ask if it's twins!!! my sisters boys were 9lb 9 ans 8lb 8, can't wait til midwife appt on wed and i hope she measures me and puts my mind at rest, hopefully it's just cause i'm all baby.
