Hi there everyone. I have been reading your posts and have decided this is the group I want to share this exciting journey into motherhood with, you guys seem like a bunch of great souls. I am 38 and will be 39 in February. I got married for the first time in March 2004. We decided to try for a baby of our own in October 2005. We thought it would be a wam bam, one-shot deal - NOT. We are on our third month TTC. I am expecting AF tomorrow. I took a CBE digital test today, BFN. Which basically confirmed what I am feeling. My doctor said to come back in April if we still haven't conceived by then. I'm hoping the thought of sharing an intimate moment with a cup in the doctor's office will spring my husband's spermies into action, but he remains positive they will do the job before then... Git er done boys....lol
I was taking medication for Depression and ADHD, so in October, with the ok from my doctor. I stopped taking the meds and started on pre-natals. So far, I've been okay. I haven't given up my caffeinated coffee yet, so this month it's decaf for me.. Maybe that's the secret.
Anyway... I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and wishing you all good luck!!!!
fyi-- Starsign, I followed your posts into pregnancy like you were my own sister... This internet thing is wonderful....

It seems you spend your whole life avoiding getting pregnant because you're told 'it only takes once' but no one tells us that the chances of actually getting pregnant each month are quite low really.
The month I restricted drinking caffeinated coffee, was the month I fell pregnant. I was a big coffee drinker, and read that Green Tea helps your fertility, helps to produce lots of EWCM. So get down to Tesco (or where ever) and fill your trolly with green tea bags. Lots of flavours, my fave was lemon. Handy tip, don't buy plane green tea bags - YUK!!
Good luck, and hang in there, these boards are a gret source of info, help and support, and I wish you and everyone else TTC a Happy New year and hopefully lots of BFPs
Love Rachel

Congratulations RachelB on your pregnancy and thank you for the reply!!!! As much as I am dissappointed about the BFN, it's kind of exciting to start posting on a board...Atleast if I do get a BFP soon I'll have a whole lot of women happy for me and celebrating with me!!!!

Hery Poopypants!! Wonderful to have you join us!! I'm glad you have been reading my posts - sorry if I sometimes moan a lot! That was a really nice thing to say..like I was your sister. Well if I can help you in your road to pregnancy then I will.
There are a few similarities between us...I'm 39 but will be 40 in February, I got married for the second time in April 2004! I came off bcp in November 2004 but didn't start trying in earnest to get pg until March 2005.
I think the fact I took lots of vitamins, minerals and supplements like EPO, flax seed and fish oils, helped me to be in good condition. I see you have started taking pregnancy vitamins - they are recommended even when ttc. I started to reduce caffeine intake a long time ago - I am not completely caffeine free but my tea & coffee is decaffeinated.
You may find your body needs time to rid itself of prescription drugs - I was taking beta interferon for MS but stopped and had to give it 3-4 months minimum for it to leave my system before trying to get pg.
It will be good to chat with you over the coming months on your road to pregnancy. I often pop onto the ttc thread to see how everyone is doing - will you be joining that?
Have a fantastic Christmas and New Year. I'll be signing on again in January.
Very best wishes, love, Starsign xx

Hi Starsign! Geez, I feel like I'm chatting with a celebrity...!!! Thank you so much for the warm welcome and advice....My shelves are now stocked with Green tea and I am taking my vitamins faithfully each day. I was at my perfect weight when we decided to start trying in October, but have been eating like a pregnant woman since then and have GAINED 10 POUNDS!!!!! So this month I am going to STOP EATING SO MUCH and drink more green tea!!!! If by the end of the month I don't get a Big fat positive, atleast I won't have a BIG Fat A__!!!
All you guys are really a pleasure to chat with and thanks again for the boost in morale... TTC is harder than I thought it would be, but the company is sure making the wait more fun.
