HI vicky i think ive been chatting to you before on other topics i have 2 bos and am 26 weeks pregnant with my third boy.I keep gettingthis pain on one side i really dont know how to explain it it hurts and its like a tight pulling pain or a dragging pain.I wake up in the middle of the night to turn over and i get it and after lying on my side or back but being still for about 5 mins it goes.I dont really know what it is either i dont get it all the time but it mostly happens at night when ive been lying down.At the time its horrible and i dont really know what sort of pain it is perhaps its the same thing as what you have experienced.I did mention to my midwife that ive been getting things (also something that i can only explain as an elastic band pinging me in the tummy when i get up suddenly from lying down)she said all these sort of things are normal and not to worry id be interested to hear what your midwife has said if you could let me know thanks xx

dunno if this helps hope you can at least rule this out
Stomach and/or Right Shoulder Pain
This type of stomach pain, called epigastric pain by the medical profession, is usually under the right-side ribs. It can be confused with heartburn, gallbladder problems, flu, indigestion or pain from the baby kicking. Shoulder pain is often called referral pain because it radiates from the liver under the right ribs. Lower back pain is different from muscle strain common to pregnancy. It is usually more acute and specific. All may be a sign of HELLP Syndrome or a related problem in the liver. Shoulder pain can feel like someone is deeply pinching you along the bra strap, or it can be painful to lie on your right side.
What you can do...
Pain in this area should be taken very seriously; do not dismiss it and go to bed. Call your health professional immediately.
let us know what they said
