Well done Tia Maria. You did really well. what a great weight and you were worried that you couldn't do it.

Thanks for good wishes Jen, unfortunately we heard yesterday that Friday will be his last day. His boss said he hated doing it as we already have 3 children and Bria is 3 weeks old today but we will cope. These things are sent to try us.

Congrats Tia Maria!! Welcome to the world Jessica!! She must be about the size Laura was (she was 8lb 12).

I'm feeling better now...Laura's oral thrush has cleared up and my boobs are better..phew!! I had a brief relapse in caesar pain too when I did too much a week or so ago. I feel better now though!

Trad...Bria is laughing in her sleep already! Wow! She sounds like a happy little thing. Laura smiles..but only about once or twice a day so far. She's had a bad nappy rash in the last week which is just clearing up, so probably not a lot to smile about. I notice she is trying to bat her toys a bit now...so that's cute!

Love the photos of Bria!! Gorgeous! Your hubby looks very english! (I don't know why but english men have a certain look to them!) Your kids look like they adore Bria!

Jen, Tooty and all the other mummies...hope you're all well!!

Cathy

Hello everyone, hope all of you and little bundles are doing well.
Well Elizabeth Ann Evans was born on 5th May at 12:40pm(Cypriot time) weighing a healthy 8lb 5.5 oz. Had to be induced as bp shot up to 140/100 and id had a bad fall due to the spd so dh finally convinced the doc i was no longer safe being left alone and needed to have the baby. Had a bit of an awful labour. They decided to induce on thr friday morning but as i was already 4cm they just broke my waters. Had them broken at 9:10am started contracting at 10 ish. I then had a really funny turn and bp dropped to 90/40 and i passed out twice mw couldnt get the oxygen to work and decided to wheel me to the delivery room. was examined at 11:40 and was only 6cm so decided to use gas and air. I then dilated 4cm in 20mins and at 12 was ready to push only baby had other ideas she was lying with her head transverse and doc said id have to breathe through contactions until she turned. Not easy when they are 1 in 2mins. After 40mins of breathing through all of a sudden babys head appeared without pushing and after one push she was born. Very quick but hard work. Beth is now 10days and doing really well. If anyone wants to see pics you can email me on kdjevans@hotmail.com

congratulations Kris. Have been awaiting news as I think you were the last of the April mums. Well done.

Baby Bria is thriving and is a healthy 10lbs and 40zs, not bad for 4 weeks tomorrow. The breastfeeding is going brilliantly and she is a gorgeous happy baby. Lots of smiles in the morning and although hubby did get made redundant last week, he is looking forward to some more time with the baby until another job comes up.

Hope you other mothers are well. How you getting on Tia Maria?

Hi ladies
sorry i havent been on much lately, things have been hectic around here as you can imagine.

Congrats to the other mums, kris beth is gorgeous, tia your baby has the same name as me *Jessica* [:I]
Jen hope its your turn soon hun[Smiler]

well Kaitlyn will be 4 weeks old on saturday it has flown so fast i cant believe how much she has changed already.
i didnt get chance to post my birth story so i'll pop it here now.

I went into hospital at 8:30am on 22nd April where i was put on a monitor to see how Kaitlyn was doing, everything was ok, so the midwife decided to pop the prostin tablet in and carried on monitoring me to see how Kaitlyn coped with it.
the midwife said that if nothing happened withing 6 hours they would give me another dose of prostin, which they didnt need to do, because at about 2:30pm i was having crampy type pains so she decided to pop me on the monitor again. and to my suprise i was having mild contractions *6 every 10 minutes*
the midwife then decided to break my waters and told me to stay as mobile as i possibly could so i went for a walk with mum and db but within 10 minutes i was taken back to the delivery suite because i was in complete agony.
I was put on gas and air and kept drifting in and out of sleep but the pains were coming thick and fast, i was given pethodine but it didnt work.
thw midwife examined me again and told me i was fully dialated but left me alone because i didnt have the urge to push. but after 10 minutes or so i was pushing anfter 45 minutes of pushing Kaitlyn Michelle was born at 9:48pm weighing in at 8lb 11oz.
I didnt need stitches this time and after no sleep at all we came home the next day.

Anyway i hope your all well
Take care
Jess

hi all
jessica is doing great although i still cant believe shes mine to keep lol! shes 3 weeks old on monday i cant believe how fast those 3 weeks have gone! im sure shes smiled a couple of times too.

hows everyone elses nights going? i feed jess about 10 then she wakes up between 1 and 2 for a feed and again between 5 and 6. am hoping that soon it will go down to just once a night. am i been too optmistic? i have no others to compare her to lol?

i went out into town completly on my own with her today for the first time and was so pleased with myself - had to stop and feed her too but she didnt cry. so im on a high now although wasnt yesterday cos she had colic and screamed for 5 hours i felt like i was going insane!! my mum came and took over then and sent me for a bath lol - to keep me from going crazy!

hows all the other babies - its ages ago that some were born now isnt it i cant believe how quick time is going compared with the last few weeks of pregnancy!! tho i cant imagine how big i was 3 weeks ago!

hope all is well

tiamaria xx
