My name is Kaz I used to post on here a while back on the ttc thread. Me and my partner have been ttc for 7 months and I finally got my bfp 2 days ago at 12dpo! [] We're both over the moon but very scared that something could go wrong too - guess thats normal.
Due date based on lmp is 12th April - Same as Cathy! Although maybe later as I had longer cycles.

Congatulations Kaz!!! You never know we might give birth the same day!! I'm basing my date on LMP, but I will see what the ultrasound says later. I have the usual 28-29 day cycles though. My Mum's b'day is April 11. So it will be nice for her!

Congrats to Cathy and Kaz!!![] I was hoping I wouldn't be on my own! I think my edd is 6th April but my GP is on hols until Monday so I'll see him then. I looked at websites to get the due date and used a 28 day cycle though I was normally 27-29. They all said round about the same date.
Here's wishing you healthy and happy pregnancies!! S xxx

My cycles were normally around 34 days so slightly longer than average and I didn't ov till cd 20 - 22 usually. This cycle I ov'd cd 22 and fertility friend gave me an edd of 19th Apr ( based on ov date )I'm going with the 12th as that is the date the doc will probably go by.
Has it sunk in for both of you yet? Its starting to for me but i've done 10 hpts to make sure! lol! []

No Kaz, not yet! I have done 2 more hpt since the original one and of course they were both +ve. DH said would pushing the baby out in 8 months time convince me, lol! I do feel sick most days, have cramps and so on and have a round tummy, but still it doesn't seem real!
I am constantly tired - how about you two?

Yes i've been extremely tired! Not feeling sick yet but i'm off food and I only seem to want bland things. Symptoms for me so far have been boobs sore at sides and sensitive nips, weeing more, cramps like af since 10 dpo ( had an implantation dip 10 dpo and was very emotional) bloated, missed af, backache, extremely thirsty since ov but not that hungry, constipated [:I] high temps, lots of cm ( since ov ) and cp higher and softer throughout 2ww when it was normally always low and fim. Even with all this I still kept running to the loo thinking af had arrived and the only reason I tested was because my temp dipped a bit and I thought oh well i'll just do a test and if its gonna be bfn again i'll have a drink after work to cheer myself up! Was really shocked when the 2 lines appeared![]
How long have you both been ttc? This was our 7th month trying. Have you both had any bad cramping too, yesterday and today i've had really bad dragging sensations down below and they're quite painful at times - don't know if thats normal?

Hi there Yes I've had cramps like AF - that dragging feeling as well sometimes. I have had loads of CM too, backache (so bad I thought it was a kidney infection and got antibiotics from the dr), a high CP (thought it was odd I couldn't feel it, and wondered if it was just me!), I've been thirstier and pee has been strong smelling and darker in colour. I too have been constipated and more emotional, round tummy and not that hungry either. My boobs are OK so far although I noticed the areola has grown a bit on both. These symptoms have been here for about 2 1/2 weeks now.
I tested +ve on 5th August, 20dpo, and I was about 5/6 days late. I came off bcp in Nov 04, but we didn't really try to hit the right fertile days until around March. Even then we had 2 months off as I was on medication in June and didn't OV, and then I was away in May at the crucial time. We were on hols when this happened!!! I am so surprised as I thought it would take us much longer, but I guess it only takes one time, hehe!

Just thought I'd bump this up before it goes off the page!
Cathy, I know you've seen the dr but Kaz, have you? Mine is on hols until Monday so I will see him then. I didn't want to see a locum or another practice doctor. I'll have had my BFP+ for 10 days by then and be just over 6 weeks. However my Mum and MiL (who had 5!) said that should be OK.

Its hard to believe isn't it? Try believing it when your 'baby' is 5 and a half years old! I thought my baby days were over!! hehe My man is excited and told everyone. I told my kids yesterday. They are happy and ofcourse my boy Ronan wants a boy and my daughter Yasmin, 8 wants a girl! lol
My symptoms started almost as soon as I had conceived; cramping, blue veins on breasts, nipples sensitive and erect, stuffy nose, crying a little, some pimples (which made me think AF was on way as I get a couple before AF), dizzy when I got up too quick, lots of CM, bloated, going to toilet more, eating more, and sooo tired!! I had a spot (only when I wiped) of pink cm the day my period was due. And I bled a little exactly one month after my period. I'm still really bloated every evening and look about 4 months already! LOL Get waken up in middle of night to go to the toilet. I haven't been for an ultrasound yet, but I count my week every wednesday according to my period date. So I will be 6 weeks on wednesday!
Take care all you Mums/Mommies! :-)

Sorry to be poppin in here but as you girls are newley pregnant I thought I'd ask you a question. Do any of you know if your cervix is meant to move up to a high position just before Af? I thought it was meant to stay low. FF says you can't take cervix position for any kind of info on pg but I know Dr's do take notice don't they? Mine was very low & firm about 3/4 days ago and then it started to move up and it felt a bit softer, now I can't feel it at all its that high.....I'm a bit miffed???
Just after some advice. Oh I'm on cd27 14dpo and I'm due AF either today or tomorrow....27 days being my longest cycle.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Talia, I don't know if this helps but this cycle after ov my cp never went lfc like it always did in previous cycles it was either medium or high and much softer, also had a big increase in creamy cm ( sorry tmi [:I] ) I know it says in books not to go by cervix changes but looking back this was definatley one for me. Hth and hope you get your bfp!
Cathy - My symptoms so far are quite similar to yours apart from i've had no spotting at all and I don't have a stuffy nose. I'm not really feeling sick yet just more off certain foods if that makes sense. Still hasn't sunk in yet and we've decided to keep quiet till 12 weeks as i'm so scared something could go wrong.
Starsign - I haven't seen a doc yet but i'll prob make an appt today. Can I just ask have any of you been getting painful cramps? I've had them about twice a day since 10 dpo and they are like dragging sensations and can be quite painful - Is this normal?

Thanks Kaz usually i don't feel my cervix at all, but looking at what I put in FF on Monday it was lfc and this was 10dpo and since then its been moving up and it was softer midweek to this high position today so I can't tell if its soft or firm coz I can't reach it lol. But I have been getting quite a bit of cm!!! Hmmm nice hey?
I'm really not good at checking cp so I don't know what is normal for me. But thanx for your help anyway.

Talia, I was checking my CP - or trying to, as it just wasn't there! When AF is due, I can normally feel something but everyday I would root around and nothing! I thought it was just me! I know sites tell you it's not an indication but it certainly was for me. I also got lots of creamy/lotiony cm. I don't normally check it either, but when I have, it's usually been around AF time and it's easy to reach. I just checked as I know it was a sign listed by ythe ladies on the 2ww symptom thread.
Ooooh, this is exciting!
Kaz, I get mild cramps most days but they don't last long and I am gassy at the moment as I am eating so much fruit and everything down there must be working overtime ([:I]. If the pains are severe honey I would go to the GP soon. I have occasionally had a dragging sensation - about 17dpo and about 3 days ago but very rarely.
I'm sure everything is fine - remember the uterus is expanding to accommodate the new baby!
Cathy, I am so pleased for you that your 2 children are thrilled about their new brother/sis! [] Does it seem more real now they know?
