Hi Everyone

I'm new to this forum and looking to hear from anyone who is/has been in my situation.

Stopped the contraceptive pill in June and had a period in July. Nothing August or September, few negative tests in that time then a positive test late September.

Very next day after positive test started to bleed, Doctor said 'threatened miscarriage' at that point. Full week later before I finally mc.

That was over two weeks ago, now started having twinges similar to that which I had around the period I found out I was pregnant/mc'd. They are not painfull but I'm not sure if these are something I should be worried about.

Has anyone had anything similar?

It is possible that you may be ovulating again.
My ovaries have always twinged a lot at the start of pregnancy (5pgs, 2 successful ones) and some people can feel when they ov.

Have just thought... is it definite that you miscarried completely?
If you're worried, then I'd speak to your doc again.

I suppose I could be ovulating. I'm not sure of my cycle as I only had one proper period since stopping the cp.

I was cutting a long story short in my first post. When I started to bleed after the positive test it was heavier than spotting but not extremely heavy, I bled like that for 6 full days, on the 6th day I passed what looked like the sac (it appeared to be intact)and that was it, the bleeding completely stopped. I spoke with the EPU on the telephone and they didn't say I needed to see them so I assumed that was it. I think I will call them tomorrow and tell them about the twinges, I'm a little concerned that there is something still there.

I would love to think that I was pregnant again but I dont think that is the case, I did another test yesterday and it was negative.

I'd say its most likely that you're oving again.... If a pg test was neg then the m/c was most likely complete. I think if tissue remains... especially if its causing twinges then you'd still have enough hcg in your system to show on a test.
All the same... speak to the EPU to set your mind at rest.
Do you keep an eye on your cm? That always helped me work out what on earth my body was up to. If it wasn't for that, we'd not have conceived the boys as I'd just had an early m/c but had pos htps almost to the time I ov'd again. Was all v strange, but 2 days after a neg htp I suddenly had fertile cm and I ov'd a couple of days later.

I forgot to take the number for the EPU to work both yesterday and today, but surprisingly they called me today just to see how I'm getting on which was really nice of them.

They want me to go tormorrow and they will test my blood again to make sure the hormone level has completely dropped.

Went back to hospital yesterday and had blood taken. Hormone level is around 3, it was about 380 last time I had blood taken about 3 weeks ago. I'm kind of hoping that the hormone had dropped right back to zero and that its started to build up again because I'm pregnant again, but its probably just wishfull thinking!

Still having slight twinges and 1 very sore boob today (very strange).

Hospital also tested my white blood cells for infection and that was ok so I'm not worried about that now.
