I went to my Doc's for my first appointment to get my pregnancy confirmed yesterday, and was shocked to learn that in my area you dont go for you scar til your at least 22 weeks.....is this much different near you?

i live near darlington and you have your first around 10-12 weeks here like a dating scan and your second at 20 weeks unless you have a bleed or pain then they scan to check baby is ok but you still get the other scans
i would ask about a dating scan as you can't wait that long it will drive you insane with worry

Where I live the first scan is around 19 weeks - unless for medical reasons they decide to do one sooner. You can pay to have a private scan but that could be around �90+ Your Midwife should be able to recommend a company.
