Hi Stacey,[

]
I had a BMI of 33/34 respectively for both my pregnancies and went on to have 2 healthy sons. I won't lie to you and say it was plain sailing. With both pregnancies I suffered with high blood pressure and was monitored constantly. You will also have to have the glucose tolerance test at 28 weeksish. The worst part was carrying the extra, extra weight. Having said that I did eat for England when I was pregnant (Any excuse!) and put on about 4 stone [:0][:0][:0][:0] It sounds like you are going to be more sensible then I was.
The other thing they don't tell you is that you may not be able to have an epidural because the anethetist can't always find the right spot when you are overweight. They told me this the day before I gave birth! As it so happens I didn't plan on an epidural and had two natural deliveries. It's just worth bearing in mind.
Oh, the other thing is they will want you to have a hospital birth as you will be 'at risk' So if you may have a fight on your hands if you want anything else!
I would like another child but I want to lose some more weight first, just to experience what it is like to be a slim pregnant woman.
Having outlined my experiences, I have to say that I was not made to feel like a leper because I was overweight and the midwives were supportive. At the time my desire for a baby was greater then for waiting until I lost weight!
Feel free to ask away if you need anything and lots of luck trying for a baby - it is so worth anything you go through.
