Hey Guys,

How are all mummies and babies doing?

Claire - Not much longer for you to go hun. It will be all over soon and you will be wishing for the peace again. lol. At least i am although not the feeling like an elephant with swollen legs part. lol. Tyler is a lovely name Big Grin

Sarah - awwww hun. Just think only 2 days now until bubs arrives. Make the most of the peace as you don't get any when they arrive. hehe. It's strange you do get less sleep prob like you are now when bubs arrives but you feel a different sort of tired to when you are pregnant and somehow it is a little easier to cope with. You don't sound ungrateful at all hun, just fed up and i can understand that being 10 days overdue. I was very lucky and never made my due date with either pg but i feel for people that do.

Well not much to report on us. Lucy has settled down a bit since we have started the colief stuff. She only had one bottle between 10pm and 8am this morning but she didn't settle very well after it so we were up for about an 1 1/2 hours with her. Never mind i guess it is better than it was. lol.

Dips - How is little Bea sleeping for you now? At nighttime i hope!!!!!

KJ - Is the perfect little Angel still sleeping all night for you? lol. Soooooo jealous

Sophie - How are you and little Grace? Have you tried putting her in a routine yet?

Peary - How are you and Millie doing? How is Alfie with his little sister?

Hi to everyone else i have missed. Sorry baby brain is terrible these days!!!!

Sorry i haven't been posting as much lately. What with all the hospital checkups for Lucy there hasn't been much spare time but they are on the decrease now so i should have more time to try and keep up.

COME ON LAST BABIES. WE WANT TO MEET YOU BOTH!!!!!

Rhi

Hi girlies, hope you are all doing well.

Sarah - Thinking of you hun, wont be long, bubs will be in your arms soon.

Dipps - Hows Bea doin?

Rhi - Sorry not been in touch sooner, babe, its hectic here. Hope Lucy is still doing well. My Princess Grace is an angel during the day and just sleeps, then is really unsettled during the night. Steve and I are tired and rowing which is not good, but I know it will take time to settle down.

KJ - Hows your beautiful new addition darlin?

Thought I would do my birth report while shes sleeping. It does go on a bit!!! lol!!

Sat 13th - Had pelvic pains coming and going throughout the evening but they were bearable so didnt think much of it. Had a very hot curry and kept bouncing on my ball. Pains got worse and by 3.30am Sun 14th they were 15 mins apart. (I was still convinced I wasnt in labour yet!!). Woke (a very grumpy) Steve up and we rang the hosp an they told us to come straight in. I had bad pains in the car and then realised this could be it!!. But could see us being sent home still.

I was put on a monitor and bubs heartbeat fine, my obs were good too. Screamed for gas and air at this point (when I could get it off Steve that is!!). Then pethidine, which just made me feel drunk (wish I had taken some home!) but it didnt take the pains away. They examined me 30 mins later and told me I was at least 4cm dilated, at which point I cried my eyes out knowing I would be holding my baby soon. Pain got worse (ok I am a wuss!!!) and Steve couldnt do anything right, bless him! Couldnt bear being touched when I was in agony. So then I had an epidural. They put a hearttracer on babys head (after 3 people and 5 attempts!). By now, legs in stirrups, (very glamourous, not!), cant feel any pain at all, except tiny touch of tightening with a strong contraction. I was more or less asleep and they broke my waters. About another hour later, my obstetrician said babys heart rate was racing past 180 and her temperature rising dangerously, as I hadnt dilated any further, I would have to have an emergency-section.

I was in cloud-cuckoo land so didnt really freak out, I was relaxed and would do anything so baby is safely out. Everyone was great and stroking my head. I think I still wailed through the whole thing though. After pulling and tugging for what seemed like an eternity. Beautiful Grace Amelia was born at 2.27pm that Sunday. (Steve thought it was a boy at first as the cord was between her legs as he watched her being pulled out!). She needed oxygen at first and appararently was very blue. But weighed a healthy 7lb 4oz and was cleaned up and wrapped up for me for a kiss. I stayed in hospital for a further 5 days with a distended bowel caused by the operation.

Gracie is 2 weeks old I couldnt live without her already and we cant believe how lucky we are. Steve is planning a brother for her already!!! All in good time I told him!! Men eh??!!
