Hi All Boyfriend and i are having a bit of a debate on the sex of our little girl. He is saying that he made her but i'm sure it has something to do with both partners and he is also saying that it is more difficult to make girls than it is boys. I don't think that is right either has anyone got any idea on this matter?
hi, i think its the male that determines the sex of the baby. im not sure, but, i think its the female sperm that live up to 72 hours, they take their time but are more likely to get there than the male sperm who rush in and wear themselves out! might have got them the wrong way around though!!
I think it is the male sperm that predictes the sex of the baby i am afraid. I also think there is a 51% chance of it being a boy and 49% chance of it being a girl. Could be wrong though.
cookie I think it's the other way around as there are more girls than boys born (heh heh, which is they way it should be ) All to do with the fact that men like to sow their seeds with as many women as poss so there needs to be lots to go round
Also, yes, it is the man that determines the gender and also I think Kathryn's right - the closer you have sex to OV, apparently the more likely it is to be a boy as the little men swim faster but don't last as long as the girls who go a bit slower but last a bit longer - makes sense really, men are really fast and competitive and women like to take their time, chatting away and catching up on the goss!!
Well my Dad was brought up with the saying (and please don't be offended he was in his 60's) "It takes a real man to make a Girl!" (I did warn you you may be offended lol!).
Well he was told that the whole time My mum was having me and was well chuffed when I was a girl.
He then taunted my husband with it my whole first pregnancy (I think it was some sort of rite of passage thing!), and of course when DD arrived DH was victorious in his Male dominance, and was able to look my Dad in the eye again!
I thought it had died a death, but now DH tells all of our friends who are expecting the same thing, and so far - THEY HAVE ALL HAD GIRLS!!
I'll just be quite happy with another healthy baby myself, although DH has decided that he wants 3 more daughters yet (see us women get no say, and no thanks for our part in proceedings do we - he makes it and we just baby sit!!) Cx
