Hi ladies

I'm from 2WW thread and in a dilema about the 1 shop tests -
My results were:

Mon 19th Dec - about 09.30am 8DPO - 1 Shop test - Faint second pink line which came up an hour after testing

Mon 19th Dec - about 1pm 8DPO - TESCOS OWN BRAND - BFN

Wed 21st Dec - FMU - 1 shop test - Faint secong pink line after 3-4 mins ????

Has anyone on here had similar results with these test from the 1 shop at this early stage past O???

Please help coz I've not only caved in on the competetion with the other girls on the 2WW [Frowner!]. I'm now in a tizz wondering whther these wonderfully cheap 1 shops sticks are reliable.

Maybe
x

hey maybe

sounds promising to me...i used cheap tests from wilkos and they were really faint, and i know that tescos don't claim to show up positive until 14dpo.

when i got my bfp i did the following tests..

9dpo - clearblue early - BFN
12dpo - clearblue early - very very faint bfp
13dpo - wilkos cheap test - very faint bfp
14 dpo - clearblue early - normal bfp, tescos own brand - normal bfp(ie not strong or faint!), wilkos test (got obsessed with sticking things in my magic pot of wee at this point!!) - very faint bfp
15dpo - predictor test - faint bfp (this made me panic but have since heard loads of people found these crap)
18dpo and beyond (yup, still POAS occasionally!) - sainsburys and boots own brands very strong bfps

I have to say that in my experience, you don't get a reliable result til at least 14dpo...and the sticks are designed to be at their faintest at the level of HCG they are sensitive for - so if you have a faint line its picking up 25iu of hcg if its a test sensitive to 25 iu. So you would expect it to look faint unless you are further along than you realise.

if you can cope - test with a clearblue or tescos test (so you can compare the colour of the lines ) and use FMU, and i swear by peeing in a pot and dipping - at least then you can check the same sample with more than one test if you get an unclear result. Good luck!

i reckon you could be in the family way...ooooooohhhhhh!!!

not that i want to tempt you (evil laugh) but you could just not drink anything this evening, and try and hang on to your wee til bedtime...that would be five or six hours so enough time for a bit of HCG to concentrate in your wee...and amuse yourself by going to get a first response or a clearblue (personally didn't like first response)..and i'd buy in bulk if you're anything like me! The obsession doesn't go even when you have a BFP (i am 6+6 and last POAS on tuesday morning! ha!)

good luck honey...let us know how it goes!!

You r naughty !x I'll get a twin pack of clear blue tomorrow, then test at the shop, as you just have to then, if it's a BFN . I am going to try to promise to all the very good girls on the 2WW not to use the other til Saturday.

But what shall I do with my spare 1 shop test???? ....I wonder ![Smiler]

Hi Maybe, I've used the wilco's 1.99 tests but not until af was due and the lines were a deep plum colour!. I also used cheap internet tests and got very faint bfp's from 11dpo, and I got a faint bfp with a clearblue at 12 dpo and a 'pregnant' with a clearblue digital at 12 dpo too. So clearblue is the way forward!!!

Hope you get a nice blue cross [Big Grin]
