just sending you both my love. I have been really paranoid during this pregnancy - 9 weeks now but still worrying. You have both been so brave and sound really positive. Nobody would be offended by a miscarraige thread as it is unbelievably common. I am sure things will work out for you both.

Hi Noodle, you are too sweet to remember that about me [:I]
First m/c was end of oct then this was 2nd one, bit of an accident as meant to have AF between. Next time plan on doing that! Went to my doctors to get an hCG test so new that i was PG again this time but obviously not meant to be for me just yet. I have been on a diet for the last few months and lost 34lbs so far. my goal is to lose 60lbs so this gives me the opportunity to do that and hopefully then have a much healthier pregnancy.

I joined the ttc'ers last February but have not posted for a good while. I got a positive pg test on Tuesday (the day before my 30th birthday..)then started bleeding yesterday!!! Went to my GP yesterday and he is sending me for a scan tomorrow. He thinks I'm six weeks gone. I have a strong feeling I am miscarrying as we speak. Got very upset yesterday as it was my birthday - I was bleeding and generally feeling crap!! Wanted this so much only for being taken away after one day. I suppose the positive that has come out of this experience is that I know me and dh can get pg!!! I know some people bleed and continues to have a healthy pg but I have a very bad feeling about this one. Finding it difficult being in work - since no one knows I have to sort of be cheery if you know what I mean. I'm not in pain just though which I am glad about. It's nice to hear that I am not alone and that there is lots of people out there experiencing the same. I know having a miscarriage is common - I'll try to stay positive and try again next month. Just wanted to thank you all for telling your stories. I hope we all managages to get healthy babies by the end of this year!!
Take care Anita

There are unfortunately so many of us on here who have gone through the same experience, I can't believe how common it is, but at least you have loads of support on here and lots of lovely ladies who really do know how you are feeling, and will understand and sympathise with whatever emotions you are feeling, so please keep coming back on here to 'talk' to us!
As for me, I had just turned 31 when I had a m/c at 5 weeks, and it was my first pg as well, and I know what you mean, doesn't matter if you've known for a day or a few months, you still seem to have planned out the next nine months either way, so it's difficult to come to terms with the fact that it won't be happening as you'd planned, but we just have to tell ourselves that it WILL happen in the end!
Anyway, there is still a chance that things may be okay for you, so I'll keep everything crossed, you really shouldn't be at work though if you're bleeding, you need to have your feet up for at least 24 hours (I was told this by the Doc's), so if there's no-one you can confide in at work (a sympathetic boss??) then perhaps you could make up some other sickness, and go home and rest.
Take care and let us know how you are.
Love
Dippy x[:X]x

Hi Anita, Really sorry about your Birthday... what an awful present when you must have been so thrilled with your BFP on Tues. At least your doc is doing something about it though. I don't think mine would have been in the slightest bit interested. I had an early m/c in Nov and could tell it was definately a m/c as I had horrendous cramps and bled like fury for 8 days instead of like my normal AF which is generally pain free and light. Try and stay positive 'til you see the outcome of your scan tomorrow. You never know. I know 2 girls who are both 7 months preg now who both bled for a day or so after they'd had their BFPs. And I'm 5 weeks preg today so hopefully this one will stick better than Nov's!

Thanks lovely ladies I know there are so many women out there experiencing the same. We haven't told anyone we're ttc'ing and hence can't really share my feelings with my friends. This board is great!! DH is being really supportive too. Trying to keep me staying positive...at least we know we can get pg!!! Feel I can't really take any time off work at the moment. Was off two extra weeks in November when my father passed away. I am sure I'll get sacked soon if I need to take more time off....
I am so sorry that you two have also both experienced miscarriages. I hope your little beanie stay put for another 8 months this time Summer. I also hope you Dippy get another pg+ soon. How long have you both been ttc'ing??
I am still praying everything is ok tomorrow but in my hearts of hearts I sort of know it's all over. Still one can only hope and if it doesn't work this time we'll have to contiune and hope that it will happen again soon. I will keep you up to date and thanks again for your support!!
Love Anita

You are lucky to have a responsive GP, both times mine said to me, yes you probably are miscarrying but you'll have to wait and see! Rubbish rubbish!
It is so hard when you have those few days or weeks of thinking that this could be it. You are right to think that lots of people do have miscarriages, and it definately helped me to think that i could get pregnant. However, it can be tough on the emotions so be kind to yourself. Try to remember your positive thoughts when you feel blue as they will help you through.
Tomorrow you will know for sure what you have to deal with and then it will feel easier - i think not knowing can feel worse really. I kept working for something to do with my first one but with my second i didn't want to be at work so took time off. I think that you just have to see how you feel. It sounds like you are going through a really tough time at the moment, i'm sure that your GP would sign you off if you needed them to, employers can be rubbish at understanding this sort of thing but it would be illegal to sack you i'm sure.
Sending you lots of positive thoughts xxx

Thanks for your kind words - I am really praying everything is ok but...... (fingers crossed). I have read lots about it today on the internet (not exactly doing what I'm supposed to be doing..hopefully my boss wont notice) and it does seem that bleeding sometimes does occur in the early stages and people go on and have healthy babies. I started bleeding yesterday morning. It seem to go a bit in stages. I mostly bleed (sorry if tmi [:I]) after I wee. It first looks ok then sort of when I finish weeing it comes blood out. Sometimes hardly nothing and sometimes quite a bit. Not as much as my period and I don't seem to bleed much in between my visits to the toilets. I don't have any pain as such - more like a niggeling feeling in my tummy, similar to period pains but not as painfull. It also started off being brownish not it's more pink/red [V]
How was your experience with your DS? Have you been trying for your 2nd for long? I wish I new how stressfull this ttc business would be when I started!!!!!!!
Thanks again for all your well wishes I will certainly inform how my scan goes tomorrow.....
Love Anita

Hi Anita, Sorry to hear about your dad. Mine died on 23rd Dec so I know how tough that is. I actually wondered if the stress of him being so ill contributed to my m/c in Nov, but its daft thinking like that. We've only been trying for 4 months but even that seemed like an eternity as with DD I fell preg 1st try! Since I stopped breastfeeding in Feb and my AF returned, my cycles have been v different to how they were before DD. My luteal phase has only been 9 days and I was really worried I had low progesterone levels. Even more worried after the early m/c in Nov. Had the 21 day test done (on day 29 as I ov late!) and my progesterone turned out to be normal (whatever that is... the receptionist wouldn't tell me the figure). Anyway..... fingers crossed for your scan tomorrow. xxx
