Hi, I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant with twins and work full time. I suffered from this right from the beginning and still do! If you have an occupational health department make sure you contact them, all pregnant women at work are entitled to a rest area where they can put their feet up for half hour or so or even have a bit of a kip.
I never did this though as if i sleep in the day i find it really hard to wake up afterwards. I tend to either go outside for some fresh air or go and sit in the rest room and have a tea or coffee and just sit on my own in quite for 5 - 10 mins, it can be a great refresher.

One thing I have noticed is that when you get the waves of tiredness you think you will never get over it but just remember that (well it happens in my case!) the tiredness lifts as quickly as it came.

If things really start getting too much make sure you speak to your manager. They have a right to look after your well being, and please make sure that being tired doesn't put you in a situation where you could endager yourself or colleagues.

All the best, you will get through it!

Hi Emilyjane,

I am 8+4 weeks and I'm exhusted as well. I feel like I could sleep for England and if I don't make myself get up in the morning I wouldn't!!!!! I am lucky that I don't work so I can have an afternoon nap.

I would say Sammie advice is excellent, try getting some early nights as well it might help. Just writing to say it's perfectly normal and your not the only one going through it.

Love
Kate

Hi Guys...

Tell me about it mornings are such a mission, I have to really force myself to get up.

I have been going to bed no later than 9.30pm if stay up later I end up crashing out on the sofa.

Thanks again : )
