I always found that ice cold milk would ease things for me.

I think peppermint works quite well. If you could find a peppermint cordial drink and just have a bit on it's own every now and again, that should do the trick.

Don't quote me though Smiler

i can definetly sympathise with u i had heartburn(to the point of being sick) with both my boys i agree with the milk i used to drink it by the gallon!! i also used remagel (i thinks thats what they r called)they r quite expensive but i was willing to try anything! i also used charcoal tablets they worked to begin with but towards the end of my pregnancy nothing worked and i just had to put up with it
hope something works 4 u and its worth all the pain in the end

Hi

I also suffer from constant heartburn and find that Peppermint Rennies work wonders for me, although I have to say I go through a lot, but unfortunately I don't like milk!!!!!!

milk is the best just have it as your main drink as tea and coffee and fizzy drinks can aggravate it and have water on the side as it has no effect either way. drink the milk cold if its during the day and have it warm before you go to bed, also keep having the gaviscon but make sure you have your drink before you take it otherwise youll just wash it all away. if youve not already had it try gaviscon plus or gaviscon extra (cant remeber the name) its thicker than normal gaviscon and it works wonders, in the mean time take the heartburn as a good sign coz your baby is gonna have a full head of hair (old wives tale, but my baby did)

hi lisa, Im 24weeks and to called lisa.
and yes I to get real bad heartburn.also i have been told the baby is really high up so I also get loads of rib pain.
feel I have not tummy left .all baby!
I to drink milk but this will only work for so long, midwife told me to just eat slow and small!
well that easy to say when you crave loads of food, or your hungry.just think this is the joy of being pregant.it will all be worth it!
so what date have they given you? Im october 20th! you?

Yes Lisamarie

That is what happens when you have a hairy baby, I had to put clips in my daughters hair at 8 weeks because her hair was in her eyes. I also have a lactose intolerance so milk was out for me I can really sympathise with you and to think we are tying again and to do it a second time I forgot all the horrible stuff and my daughter is only 15 months old. All I can say to help is that the minute your baby is born it stops, I had toast and tea and was over the moon when I realised it was gone. All what the other girls have told you are correct but I would maybe go back to your doctor again or speak to the hospital as they gave me stronger medication than my GP.

All the best let us know what you have.

Hi Lisamarie

We have just started trying for our second, I just want to be pregnant as soon as possible. Erin my little girl is just 16 months now but do not want a big gap or do not want to wait any longer I am 33 and want to be finished having my family by 35/36 wether I end up with 1,2 or 3.
I was an only child till I was 12 and it is not much fun I do not want Erin to feel unhappy the way I was, It is very lonely.

Let us all know how you go take care
Lesley xxx
