Thanks Mantha and Petal, you both give me hope that this pregnancy will be more successful than the last. You both know the apprehension I am feeling as I start down this road again and I just hope that I can be as lucky as you girls.. Lisa xoxo

Hey Everyone I used to be a regular on these boards, TTC 2 week wait at first then on this one. Not posted in about a year as nothing really changed and it gets depressing saying the same stuff every month doesn't it, no? DH and I got our appointment to 'plan' our IVF treatment at the end of September, we're going through the NHS and wondered if anyone who'd been through IVF was still around - I've got questions about complimentary therapies alongside treatment, what to expect etc but are trying to keep our treatment as quiet as possible. Hope you're all well, I pop in often and read what people are upto but a lot of the names I know seem to have disappeared ... hopefully that's a good sign! C xx

Hi Claire, I'm still here now and again when I get time. Its sad that a lot of people don't post anymore. I really miss a lot of the 'old' crew so thrilled you posted! Sorry to hear you are feeling down though. I did IVF last year which was a success luckily. I had overstimulation of my ovaries when I was taking the drugs to produce more eggs therefore they did not do a fresh transfer because this could have made me very sick especially if I had become pregnant so I had a transfer in Aug 07 of 2 thawed embryos instead. The only complimentary therapy I did was acupunture before the egg transfer (directly before) and about 5 days after. I had heard that it helped so I tried it. If anything, it helps you to relax! I thought that I didn't have anything to lose. I must admit I found the IVF fine. You do get bloated from the drugs but that does settle and its important to drink lots of water. I had a general for the egg collection and they collected 22. I think its best to try not to stress too much about it all and take every day as it comes. I really found this the best way to cope. Once I got the BFP, it was the 2 weeks after I found the worst because of wondering if the embryo(s) had stuck. I really hope it all goes well for you when the time comes . me (Sam): 41 DH: 48 5 miscarriages
