Hey, firstly I have to say I have never suffered from an eatting disorder, so i cant speak out of experience, but I have pleanty of friends who have suffered from them. The important thing is that you have acknowledged you have a problem, and that is the first step, and is incredibly brave, so well done! Many people who have eatting disorders dont talk about it, and dont seek help, they just suffer in silence. You need to surround yourself with people that will support you and be positive influences on you, also you need to be prepared that the solution wont happen over night, it will take a while to fully overcome it. I would think the best thing to do is to go to your doctor, but if this is something you really don't think you can do then you have to make yourself eat, your stomach would have shrunk so you cant expect to eat alot, but if you gradually build up your food intake then after a few months you can be back to normal. Obviously this is easier said that done, but you clearly want to resolve this, and you need to push through the first few weeks. Make yourself eat, even if its only a little bit, and gradually build it up. You could give yourself rewards when you do eat, if there is something you like to do then reward yourself by doing that when you have made progress. Another thing you could do is to make a food chart, a calendar type thing where you plan ahead what you will eat and when, so you are mentally prepared, this way you are more likely to eat than you are if you hope for it to happen spontaneously. Eatting disorders are hard, and there is no simple solution. The important thing is that you clearly want to resolve it, so stay strong, dig deep and push through the first few weeks and eventually it will happen. Good luck, and please keep us posted on how you're doing. XXxxx
