Most skin care products for oily skin have a lot of alcohol in them, specifically SD40 alcohol, which strips the acid mantle from the skin and is very drying which often kicks the sebaceous glands into overdrive so they produce even more oil. You need products which will hydrate the skin without using oils (especially mineral oil) and that don't contain harsh alcohols. I have found products that is fabulous for oily skin. I realize this isn't an advertising forum, so you can visit if you want more info. www.cosmetics-hair.com Good Luck!
i have bought the tea tree oil set from body shop and that seemed to do the trick... though might dry your skin out. But i have stopped using it because i read that tea tree oil used regulrly can give you MRSA or some other disease am worried and dont know wether it is safe to use? anyone know anything about this please reply
I used to have quite oily skin & someone suggested using a suntan lotion instead of moisturising creams/gels so now I use those Nivea face wipes & then Nivea suntan lotion as a moisturiser & it worked for me! Might be worth a try.
