I'm getting my tounge done a few days after Christmas.. And just wanted to say this site has really helped me with the decision.. I will let you all know how it goes.. Thank you all x x

Im 15 n i can normally handle piercings, i have my nose, belly, maddonna/monroe whatever its called, 2 in each ear and 1 at the top of 1 ear, n yesterday i had my toungue periced, my sister has all of these done aswell and said the tongue nothin that her lip was her worst, but i didnt even feel my lip. n e how where i had my tongue done they dont believe in numbing coz apparently it causes frostbite and infections. so yes mine did hurt VERY much, i cannot eat, can just about swallow, have to drink up a straw which is placed right at the back of my mouth and noone can understand me when i talk! lol my advice,: risk the frostbite and infections and go somewhere they numb it because its not very nice gettin a needle stuck through your tongue with none

Well, im 14 im going to get my tongue pierced tomorrow!
but im afraid dat it will really hurt.
i wonder if it really hurts?
im not to afraid about eating dho, but im just scared to get infected and hurt alot.
well, the pain will go a way but...

I want so bad to get my tongue pierced. I went today to get it done and they could not get my vain to move over to that they could do it, plus i have a short tongue. Is there any way that i could get it done that anyone knows of??? I want one SO BAD!!!!

Well guys i found a place to get my tongue pierced yesturday, so i got it done. It didn't hurt a bit. I didn't even feel it. I could talk perfectly fine, and was eating steak and chicken right after. I'm loving it, and i'm not getting rid of it anytime soon... To anyone who wants one, it's up to weither or not you can handle needles...

Hey - i had mine done a couple of years ago - the pain isnt too bad at all - totally bearable.

I found that for about a week after getting it done it ached alot and in the mornings the pain was even worse - i suppose because it wasnt getting exercise through the night.

It is bearable and totally worth having it done - and i am a total softy!!

well i am wating for my ema to start then i am getting mine done. ive had my nipple done and that did'nt hurt at all even my boyfriend was squezing in hs hardest and i diddnt move an " ive even got my bellybutton, nose and ears done

i want to get my tongue pierced as well but my mom says it will get infected even though ive proven to her that that is actually unlikely

I just got mine about a week ago and guess what! IT ONLY HURTS IF YOU DON"T FOLLOW SUGGESTIONS! Mine doesn't hurt at all and feels like I've had it for months. I du suggest cold water. People say crushed ice, but that actually hurts more and you can't swallow the first hour. I can talk alright now and I suggest babyfood when eating for the first few days.

If you can handle this and take care of it, do it. You can always take it out when you get older.

heyyy yeah it does a bit i had it done today lol it hurts when they put the needle through but then the pain goes straight away but then it comes back when your tongue swells but it just feels like you've pulled a muscle its fine just eat lollies and ice cream and cold stuff and NO SOLIDS at first it hurts like hell lol xxx ooh angel delight is good xxx

whilst on the subject of piercings i want to get my belly button pierced i have had my ears pierced does it hurt more than that?

i'm 17 and i've not long had my lip pierced, thinking of getting my tongue done next... all the coments on here have been a big help with my decision but my main problem is getting my mum to let me get it done any ideas on persuasive techniques or is it just gonna have to be a case of getting it done behind her back?
