Thank you so much for the new episodes of Homebirth Diaries, it is so nice to see women birthing their babies in the comfort of their own homes and without the machines that go ping. The series also shows that when things happen which mean that women do have to transfer to hospital it isn't usually a blue-light emergency but a decision taken because the labour isn't progressing.
I found the recent episode which showed the mother transferring for a caesarean very moving and a really good example of how to take appropriate action as a labour progresses. It was also nice to see the woman being treated as a sensible human being and her feelings at having to undergo a caesarean being acknowledged.

So nice to have some counterbalance to the over medicalised birth shows imported from the USA. Wonderful to see birth being shown for what it is, empowering and fantastically rewarding.
