My little girl has just turned 9 months old, and I am still hooked on all maternity programmes, Baby Tales especially. Maybe it is because I am from Liverpool and have had both my babies at that hospital. I sit and watch crying my eyes out when the babies are born, saying that was the room I was in, there is the midwife who looked after me. (I think I have still got a hormone inbalance!) I know a new series has started, I suppose it is about time too, but I would love to see another series revisiting the families, seeing how baby is getting on.
Keep up the good work Discovery Health x

Ive got 2 kids and still watch them every day from baby tales to the baby whisperer over and over again, my husband say i should not watch them as i get upset and ive been through it so why keep doing it, but its nice to see that your not alone and what other peoples experiances are. so keep watching cant do no harm unless you want more kids, then it will make you more broody.

I'm exactly the same! My little girl is 13 months now and I'm still hooked to them all!! My husband thinks it's a weird fettish, but it's nice having a good cry over something like that... you know how they feel when they see their baby after all that hard work!
I just wish they'd put new ones on now.... I'm not familiar with any of the hospitals (they don't dare come to the dodgy hospitals in the South!) but I really enjoy them all!
Give us some new fuel for crying Discovery Health!!!

Well girls, I'm so glad I'm not alone. My husband thinks I'm some kind of weirdo, because I'm not pregnant anymore, he thinks I should'nt have to watch them anymore. When I see a baby being born, it brings back every emotion I felt when I gave birth, relief! happiness, pride. All rolled into one, it makes you feel so happy yet so sad. You could never explain it to someone who is not a mum, could you. I also love Student Midwives. I was a case study for a student through my pregnancy, fingers crossed, she will graduate in July. We still keep in touch. She is a lovely girl, even sent Lydia a first christmas card (and that made me cry aswell)
Thanks for your replies, take care

Hi People! You do not realise what a releif it is to know I am not the only one, I had started to think I was going a bit barmy!!!!!! I have watched all the programmes on Baby Talk since I found I was pregnant, up to the day I gave birth and now she is 6 mths old I am still watching them!! I just cannot get enough of them. My partner thinks I am mad because some I have watched about a dozen times! I had a really bad birth with my daughter (she is my 2nd) and when I watched them, I felt a bit jealous, because most of them on the telly do go perfectly. Now I watch and just think how amazing women are. I think however our births went, good or bad, we should feel proud.
Anyway I'll get off my box now!!!!!!!!!
Bye for now Terri xx

Reading some of the other worrying tales on here, Liverpool Womens Hospital sounds fantastic. I've been quite lucky, I found the staff to be so friendly yet still very professional, and also it is a reletively new modern hospital. I've just read one message from Vicki were her hospital only has two Midwives working over the weekend. Imagine that!!!
Have you started your voluntry work yet, if so how is it going? Are you from Liverpool?
Keep me informed on how things are going. I wish you all the best of luck with your Midwifery course, my fingers are crossed aswell.
Take care
