Could hardly believe the Doctor worrying about a lady who was
Rhesus negative and having a Rhesus Positive baby and insisting the
safest and only way was a C Section.
I am Rhesus negative and gave birth to Rhesus Positive babies with no
gas and air or epidurals or pain relief. I was not even offered
Gas and Air in 1971 and 1974 respectively when my children were born.
They have both been in excellent health since and hardly ever visit the doctor, I am also in excellent health except for high blood pressure which is now under control
It seems to me that too many people take the easy way out nowadays
both with pain medication and C Sections.
Why was so much emphasis given on this lady who like me was Rhesus
Negative. My mother was also rhesus negative, had me first and then
my sister who was Rhesus positive, and as in 1944 and 1947 nothing was
know about the effects of Rhesus Negative/Positive my sister was slightly jaundiced, but also has had not serious health problems.
My Grandmother was Rhesus Negative and had a Rhesus negative baby in
1919 and in those days even less was known, in fact she was one of the
first people to have a Hysterectomy at Queen Charlottes Hospital when
it was a fairly new and Major Operation, much moreso than today.
