Hi Jude, please do join me.. Big Grin i could use the company Roll Eyes
I would ideally like to lose 4 stone but i realise this is completely impossible so in the next four weeks i would be happy with 21lbs...(which is probably also unreasonable but i am aiming high..LOL) i started properly yesterday and i am doing ok although i have been picking a little bit... ( i know Jax always says little pickers wear big knickers...and i do!!!!)
How much would you like to lose? we can do this you know...i just have to keep my mouth shut and my hands out of the fridge..... Red Face
Good luck with restarting today i will be on and off the computer so let me know how you are doing
claire

Hey Claire how's it going hun? I have been doing a teeny weeny bit of little pickin' myself, just the odd slice of ham or a scrambled egg (and wine last night but I'm going to ignore that and hope it ignores me back!) and I eat a fair bit of celery, it satisfies the need to chew and i'm pretty sure its nothing more than water anyway (they used to say you use more calories eating a stick of celery than it contains so the more you eat the more you lose!)

Anyway, stick with it, its not even a little bit easy any more is it?! But the porridge is goooooood, do you have the porridge?

Catch up soon

JaxII

Good morning Claire,

How are you today?
In the pink yet?

Day 4 for me, managed to do almost 3 days without any picking but last night succumbed to a bowl of tiger prawns, as you do.

I only need to lose a stone, but as we know, that last stone is a bugger to shift as the motivation to lose it is never as strong as when we have loads to lose.

Have a good day, keep focused Wink

Hi Jax,
doing ok today day 3 (proper) for me....i have to say i did eat half a chicken breast when i got in from work ( had bad headache and felt horrible) otherwise drinking lots of water now and had 2 mugs of hot bouillion to warm me up ( freezing) i remeber they used to say eating celery burns more calories than you gain.. if only that was true for wine and chocolate eh???
Yes i have had the porridge it is fab sadly i only have 3 packs of porridge left so i am using up my other packs before i visit my CDC next week to get me some more... i could live on the porridge it is delish..

Jude,
I wish i had kept going when i had 2 stone to lose but i am right back where i started and it is HARD!!!! to stay focussed... i am concentrating on getting through each day though and if i have a pick i am not beating myself up about it.. it is nothing compared to what i am capable of eating... i've never really testing for ketones although i could easily at work but i am sure i am not in ketosis i am too hungry!!! keep going.. we can do this..

Hi Claire,

Keep up the good work, sounds like you're in the zone!
I agree with you on the porridge, can't remember life without it!

Come on here to try postponing my last meal of the day before I go out for the evening, don't want to be hungry and give into temptation.

Stay positive and have a great weekend!

Wel i was doing really well but have had bad head cold for the last 3 days and felt ecpecially rough yesterday so i did eat... which has somehow led to me only losing 1lb this week,....very annoying.. i am not sure if CD is the way forward for me anymore.. but i am going to see my CDC tomorrow and so i will have a chat to her about it....i have been back with it today though.. and so far managed to SS.. no picking at all.. which is a miracle for me...although admittedly it isn't even 2 o'clock yet..LOL
anyway, hope you are all ok...

So i went to see my CDC today and she has suggested i try having 4 packs a day and a tiny evening meal of protein and veg for a week to see how i get on... she wants to see me next thursday so she can keep an eye on me...she had her 4 week old grandson with her and it upset me more than i can say to see him.... i so want another baby.. that it actually physically winds me....i drove home crying in the car.. because i feel it is so far away from me at the moment..... sorry i am having a bad couple of days....I would be alright if i could be blind to all pregnant women and newborns but they seem to be everywhere..LOL i even dreamt last night that both my sisters came to see me and told me they were pregnant.. i am going MAD!!!! Eeker
It's not even TOTM.... Roll Eyes
right i am off to have my first pack of the day.. porridge i think..
Hope you are all well

Hi Claire,

Felt I had to leave you a message after what you have written above.
I can totally connect with what you are meaning.
I have a little boy who will be 3 in Feb 09, and am desperate to have another.. Hubby has just recently started coming round the idea of having another, before it was an absolute no-no! He wants to start trying now, but, I took a while to conceive 1st time and had several miscarriages.
I feel the least I can do is be fit and healthy (well!!) before we start trying.
I have 4-5 stone to lose before I would be happy.
At the moment though losing this amount of weight just seems to be a lifetime away.
It does get hard keeping positive.. and I keep seeing all these heavily pregnant woman walking around showing off their bumps (well I do have a bump, but its not that kind!!). I want that to be me.
... Lets try and lose this bloomin weight together... we know it WILL be worth it in the end.

Gillian xx

Thanks Gillian,
I am sorry for your losses it is so hard to deal with and i wish you luck with TTC no 2 when you are ready.
i have started back on CD today.. my CDC said to try 4 packs a day and a small protein and veg based meal in the evening... she has seen me like this before... self esteem in my boots and generally feeling rubbish so she wants to see me next week to 'keep an eye on me' she said i should ave lost about 6lbs by then and knowing i have to go back to her should keep me on the straight and narrow....feeling a bit better today but have not strayed to far from home as i am still feeling a but under the weather....i have so far had a porridge and am going to have a soup in a minute...
