HI Karen and everybody,
Sorry i haven't been on for a while myself i have been so busy sorting out stuff for the wedding and as if that isn't enough we are trying to negotiate buying another house (the other one fell through.... the trouble is our mortgage incentive runs out on 31st Aug so we are trying to push for completion by then other wise we will have to get a new mortgage and that will mean repayments of more than 0.5% difference which is equivalent to £140 a month....so we are mega stressed out now!!! The good news is that the dress just about fits but i am keeping going with the diet ina bid to make it a bit more comfortable on...i have now lost 10 lbs in total and if i can lose another 5lbs i will be very happy.... i will keep you all updated over the next couple of weeks but things are mad at the moment....Had my make up trial the other day and she did a good job... i wanted to look natural and she did manage to not make me look over done if you know what i mean.. Today i am paying off the final cheque for the venue..and finalising menus etc...
Karen how was your holiday? i haven't had a chance to catch up on anyones thread yet.. i hope you had a lovely time.

hi Claire - just read your thread from start to finish - has taken me hours !! Just wanted to wish you all the luck in the world for your wedding, your house move and the baby - although that is prob the last thing on your mind at the moment. I too had infertility problems but had Kate through IVF then went on to have Tom and Daniel naturally but went through a couple of years of heartache.
Your dress and you look stunning and cant wait to see some wedding pics. Not long now are you getting excited ?? How is the house sale going - wow your stress levels must be at an all time high !!

Hi Claire, just a few words of advice in the last few days, stand back take a deep breath and go with the flow, This is the time to let your months of organisation come together, If anything goes wrong, don't panic, no one will notice. They'll all be too busy enjoying your day. Enjoy the build up as much as the big day.

Make sure you post some photos, I'm dying to see some.

HI Girls, and thanks for all the lovely messages. things are quite hectic at the moment (surprise, surprise!!) I will try and get on tomorrow or the next day...and update you all. i am only home from work the last hour (busy shift!!) Good morning All,
I was sitting here printing off my order of service sheets and thought i would come on and catch you all up on what was happening.... Things are really hotting up now... and i am starting to get very jittery...I collected my brother and his wife and children from the airport yesterday and it was lovely to see them..gave myself the night off worrying yesterday, catching up with them and had a couple of beers... it's nice to have them here a couple of days early for moral support.
My dress doesn't fit me properly they tried to take out the sides but the manufacturers didn't allow much in the seam.. so last the seamstress was mving the panel for me... they seem confident it will be ok but it has put a complete dampener on the day for me... i wish i had ordered a bigger size but the dress in the shop fit me.. even now the dress in the shop fits me so i can only assume that the shop dress was stretched from all the trying on... I am going in later to try it on so i'll let you know how i do i suppose if the worst comes to the worst i could always borrow the dress in the shop!!
Dec has gone to collect the wedding cake this morning.. Hannah is still fast asleep after a very late night last night 11.30pm she wouldn't go to bed until her cousins went to bed... But thats ok, it gives me a few minutes peace and quiet!... I tried the bridesmaids and flowergirl dresses on Hannah and my niece yesterday and they look adorable.. so that's something at least... all this stress has given me 3 lovely big spots on face which i have been applying medicating clearing gel to for the last 3 days...i am not too worried as i am sure my make up girl can perform a miracle on them. I am going for a manicure and pedicure this morning which i am looking forward to.. I was waxed yesterday (TMI, i know) that hurt!! The rehearsal is tonight so that will be interesting!! We haven't met the priest who will be marrying us yet...(the parish priest is away for the month so he is filling in...i have visions of the service being similar to the scene in 4 weddings and a funeral when rowan atkinson keeps messing up still at this stage that is the least of my worries....
i hope you are all well sorry about the long winded post and sorry ihaven't been on much lately i promise normal service will resume soon andi will try and get on tomorrow morning just to SCREAM!!!

Calm down babes, everything is going to go great for you, look how much work you have put into it. I am sure the dress will be wonderful too, you are a worry pot! I remember arranging my own wedding without much help from anyone else, it was lovely on the day and i know yours will be too. I wish you both the most wonderful day and future together and dont forget piccies please. Will be thinking about you, just try to de-stress hun its YOUR day and you need to relax enough to enjoy it. At the end of the day all that matters is that you, Dec and Hannah will share a special moment together that will bind you together as a family. It won't matter if you're wearing jeans and your gardening jumper, because it's about you three, not what you wear or whether aunty Maud likes the food or not! I know how much work you have put in to making your day perfect, and it will be. Take time to relax and enjoy it all as the day will be gone before you know it.
