Aww Claire, I'm with you in spirit...you just want your day to be perfect, and sometimes the only way that that is going to happen is to do it all yourself. It seems like a pain in the posterior right now, but it will be worth it all in the end..when everyone tells you what a fab day it has been. Feel free to rant all you need ..it's what were here for!! Big Grin Keep smiling!!!!

Vikki.

Hi claire, sit down, take a deep breath and keep in your head that everything will be fantastic on the big day. Men!!!! they always have that glazed look over things like this, i remember Tim well and yes, i did do all the organising too, but i am a person who has a list for a list and used to drive everyone nuts. I am sorry that you havent had much help/support from your family, but have you actually asked????? they may well think you have everything under control and from the outside seem so sorted.

As for returning to work, i am sure the doctor will sign you off if you really tell him how you are feeling and when the pain returns, you cant afford not to look after yourself, but with your career you already know that dont you. Karenxx

Hello All,
sorry haven't been on for a few days.. things are getting very busy andi am adopting a 'head in the sand' approach to life at the moment... can't sem to get motivated to do anything... still haven't managed to lose any weight...in fact have gained a couple of lbs Frowner but i am now trying Slim fast.. i feel like i am choping and changing from one diet to another... after the wedding and honeymoon i am goingot sit down and take stock of what i am doing with all these diets.. i need to find a different approach.. i can't keep resorting to crach diets every time i put on a few pounds i need to find a long term solution... any ideas? by the looks of things there are others who are having the same trouble to a greater or lesser extent...is it because i never quite reached my goal before stopping CD i don't know....
Anyway, wedding plans are ok....not very long now and i am starting to feela bit panicky about it to be honest... not the getting married bit... just the overwhwelming task of organising it.. andi haven't had any help from family and friends which is making me feel even more out of my depth.. you'd think with all the worry the weight would be falling off me.. sadly i am one of those people who eats when stressed...i automatically want high fat comforting foods... there is no way i could SS right now even if i was allowed!!!!
Sorry to rant seems abit rude to do that when i have hardly been on lately... i will try and get on a bit more regularly....i like to catch up with you all and see what you've been up to...hope you're all being good!!!

Darling, you are no different to any other bride out there. I was the same, no help from family at all..but afterwards they all insisted that they thought I had it under control and didn't see anything they could do. So please make sure you ask if there is even the littlest thing you can ask of someone else.

Diet wise...well sod it huh? there is too much else in life to worry about!

That is true, vikki, i do feel like saying sod it!!! but i have a small matter of a dress to get into and i really don't want to have to have it altered to be made bigger... NO WAY!! i had a phone call from my aunt the other day and all my mums family have always known me as BIG the last time any of htem saw me i was about 17 stone... and i she asked me what i was going to wear and i could hear it in her voice ( i don't think i was imagining it) i could tell she was imagining me looking HUGE in my dress.... I want to wipe the SMIRKS off their faces... does that sound horrible....the ironic thing is that even though i will be a lot slimmer than the last time i saw them i still won't be considered that slim if you know what i mean so i am starting to feel like i wish i was much much slimmer...it's ridiculous i know and it isn't a big worry of mine i really am not that bothered about what they think but it's still an added pressure you know? sorry Vikki i am sure you have just fallen asleep with boredom Wink
How are things going with you.. i see from Ails thread that you have lost 6lbs since monday well done!!!

Claire, feel free to vent your spleen...stress doesn't do a body any good at all! As for diets, my plan this week (which is apparently working so far) is 2 or 3 LL packs through the day and a meal in the evening of whatever I fancy, so long as it is just one meal and no evening long grazing attached!!!!! I've stuck it out so far, and the option to eat what I want in the evening means that when the moment arrives I actually don't feel like blowing it, I just eat a meal and feel satisfied. I'm going to keep this going until my packs run out...I've got 34 left, so 10 or 11 days then! I should hopefully be closer to 12 stone by then, and so only have a stone to go to my 11 stone target...I'm researching low carb meal replacement at the moment. Slim Fast is too high on carbs for me, but there are Atkins tetras available which look promising!

Oh Claire, i really feel for you, apart from buying a house, getting married is the most stressful thing you can do. I bet the day runs so smoothly tho, just try to find some ME time in the run up. How about booking yourself in for a massage or something similar to get yourself away from everything for a while. I heard about these body wraps that are supposed to take inches off, perhaps looking into that a week or so before the big day might be an option. I still think you will look gorgeous and send anyone my way that says otherwise. Karenxx

Oh Karen Claire is gorgeous! Claire chin up chuck! I'm only 1/2 an hour away if you want a moan! Hoping to see you again before the big day! Waiting for some good weather to get the BBQ out and get you, Dec & Hannah over.
Dietwise when can you go back on CD? Must be fairly soon, maybe you can have a good few weeks before the wedding?

Kam - from photographic evidence I would tend to agree with you - she's lovely and she's slim

Claire - on the other hand I know that it's important to feel comfortable in your own skin. It's how you feel about yourself that counts and no amount of people telling you look fab matters as much as how you view yourself!!

Soooo - rant away, chick

Photo evidence where is it?
Your right Ails you have to feel comfortable in your own skin. But Claire has so many other qualities as well shes an all round star! I do know what you mean as everyday as I go through the routine of putting on body lotion I can't believe its my body! what the hell did I do this to it for Frowner But I'm happier on the inside than I have been in years so thats helps too.

Hello Girls,
