hello Jax...nice to 'see' you...
so this week i managed to lose 4lbs on this mad diet...am very pleased as i am finally on my way to getting into my dress!!!!
feeling very sore today.. last night when i was sleeping i half woke up and had a stretch and felt a pulling almost tearing pain on my left side and i am now very sore... i am hoping that it is just muscular...the trouble is there is no way of knowing what i did to myself...i am a bit worried.. i will see how i feel tomorrow and if it's not any better then i will go see the GP. i am feeling sore enough to take some painkillers which i haven't needed for quite a few weeks.
anyway, hope everyone else is doing ok!

Make sure you take it easy sweetie...your surgery really wasn't all that long ago, so you're bound to be a bit fragile still. Look after yourself!

Thanks Vikki, i was planning on going back to the gym this week but i think i will delay that for another week or two.. i am due to go back to work in just over 3 weeks time and as i work on a busy surgical ward there it is usually quite heavy... if i am honest i don't think i want to go back yet... i am really worried about doing myself an injury....i think it may be time to update my C.V. and think about getting something a bit lighter to do...it won't go down very well but it can't be helped...i spoke to one of the sisters yesterday and she said they were short by 3 members of staff who had gone sick at the last minute and they couldn't get cover for them.... if i was on a shift like that..(and i have been many times) i don't know how i would be able to avoid doind heavy work.. when i am doing the job of 2 people...any way, sorry for the rant... sometimes you just need to get it off your chest you know? how are you doing today? not feeling too fed up...is it an UD or a DD? i am on an UD!

It's an UD for me....just as well as the chef has made hot dogs for the students (and staff yippee!!). It's a rare thing that they get food cooked midday for them, but a load are going home a day early and have to have a cooked meal before they go (bless!! Roll Eyes). So I have had one, it's my lunch but the bread will be causing me problems all day mind.

Re pains on the inside. When I was pregnant with James (now 5) I tore a muscle in my stomach turning over in bed one night...and it still gives me problems now if I turn over quickly or awkwardly. So you can't be too careful with these things. If you think heavy lifting is going to be an issue you have to voice your concerns or you'll be another one off on the sick, and then where will the staffing issues be? Surely it's better to have you there doing what you can, than not there at all? But, if you're anything like me, you get stuck in, forget your limitations...and whoops, there you are flat on your back again!! Roll Eyes

Vikki.

Exactly, vikki. the trouble with working on a ward is thatyou never know what sort of a day you are going to have until you get there and even then situations change very quickly... i am thinking of going to the doctors tomoorw anyway and i will discuss it with him...if he says he can sign me off foe longer then i will take it...if he says to see how i go then i have no choice but to go back to work... if i find it too hard then i will go back to the drs and get signed off sick again....i am not prepared to put myself at risk for an employer who very often doesn't give a damn about it's employees....
I am on an UD too... Hotdogs....MMMmmmm ....... (in style of Homer Simpson)...i have so far had...bowl of oatso simple, WW yogurt, 4 snack a jacks and a plate of salad and prawns in very lowfat mayo....a combined total of about 600 cals so far...which isn't too bad actually....chicken and stir-fry veg tonight for dinner.. i trying to be sensible about what i eat but at the same time eat what i fancy...if you know what i mean?

Well done on your 4lb...that's fab. I'm on a DD too and really enjoying it funnily enough. I so wasn't in the mood for it this morning but as the day has gone on, I've felt really in control and in charge of my life!! I've even been for a run!

The problem with speed reading threads is you only pick up certain phrases....bonkathon, pulled muscle, sore, chin burn (?!?!?) hot dogs....and then your mind goes into overdrive and you have to go all the way back and work out what the hell is going on and if you've spent the past 9 months sharing your deepest emotions with a bunch of perverts.

So ok, maybe you're not perverts now I've read it a bit slower, and I hope you feel better Claire and dont work if you're not fit, you have to be fit for your wedding. As for you Vikki....about that grazed chin????

hello All,
sorry i haven't been on much the last few days things are starting to get hectic and i have been feeling really tired this last week (TOTM related) diet wise have seemed to gain a couple of pounds...TOTM related!!! so am still trying to JUDDD but had a bit of a difficult weekend and didnt't manage it over the weekend at all... but back on track today... so i will stick at it.. have a DR's appointment tomorrow am going to discuss my return to work... i feel that it is too soon i am still having some pain on my left side every so often... and i don't want to do any damage if i go back too soon... hopefully he will sign me off for another few weeks...but we'll see!!
wedding wise... things are hectic and they feel disorganised... there are still some people who haven't bothered to reply.... despite me sending their invites out MONTHS ago!!!! Mad
And every time i try to discuss the finer details of the wedding with Dec his eyes glaze over.... tonight i am going to ring the priest to try and find out who exactly will be performing the ceremony and to finalise other details.... there isn't much time now until we get married and i am starting to feel a bit paniccy(SP?) about everything getting done... i have had no help from my family at all... they don't seem that bothered by it to be honest.... i now know why people elope!!!!! Let me make it clear to you all that i may sound like a Bridezilla but i am really not!!! i just feel that i have organised this wedding single handedly....which i have.... and i am starting to feel the strain.....POOR ME!!!! Wink anyway, rant over...
how is everything going with everyone else?
Claire
