Hi Claire, How are you getting on? I see your weight is coming down and down, well done. Keep at it. I've also had a sneeky preview at your wedding dresses -hope you don't mind. I absolutely love the flowing detailed traditional wedding dress. Have you decided on which one yet? or are you seeing some more? I rather liked the first one you posted morilee -white chiffon one with detail. The other 2 are nice too. Though without seeing 'you' in it its hard to judge as I'm judging it on the models body and skin tone and hair colour. I think you'll know as soon its the right one. I just bought mine in a day but it's wasn't the traditional white wedding outfit, if I was to have one like that I'd love to spend time looking around, I think its great fun. Good Luck! You can't have much weight to lose now? You must be almost there? What diet are you following now? Is it SS or 790? (I'm struggling, not on anything feel bad as I could so easily have lost about 2 stone if I stuck to it this past 6 weeks!) Good Luck! Keep us posted with the wedding dresses

Hi SF, i am currently doing CD790 and it does seem to be working for me, although ***looks over her shoulder to see if headmistress is looking*** i had a bit of a slip up last night and had a curry, purely medicinal chilli is good for colds.....Anyway, don't tell Karen..HEHE seriously though i know i shouldn;t have but i have beenfeeling so rotten the last few days that i just thought oh well why not. and i actually just had protein mainly with just a little bit of rice and no nan bread...so no too carb loaded. i am back on the diet today though and have so far had about 2 litres of water. i had a good lie in this morning as i am still feeling poorly with this horrible flu. but definitely feeling better than yesterday. Why have you been struggling? are you SSing? it is so difficult to do if you're head isn't in the right place. I have always found 790 easier because it allows me to feel sort of normal in the evenings and have a meal with the family. why don't you try 790 for a few weeks. i find the weight loss is still as good. when i first started CD, SS was excellent because i had such a lot to lose and alot of food issues. after losing a bout 3 stone i felt more comfortable in my skin and people started telling me how good i looked and that i shouldn't lose anymore. and that was when i found SS hard to stick to because i was constantly battling to justify doing it. now i know if i stick to CD all day i can have a meal of protein and veg in the evening and i find i don't have such bad cravings any more. of course i am not perfect and i have slip ups, but i am better than if i was doing SS. Give 790 a try and see how you do. Let me know how you get on. and thanks for the lovely things you said about the dresses. i totally didn't mind that you looked. i would have done the same thing. Claire x

Oh stuff that, never mind telling her, I'm getting well excited about this wedding! Claire, I had a curry myself tonight. unfortunately I picked it cos it was in the Oops basket at Tesco (and was actually whenI got home realised it was only reduced by a measly 25p) but I thought it looked quite interesting (something about Thai with mango) and not too high in cals/carbs etc. Ooooooh my lord it was disgusting, so bad I shall buy it again, I've ended up only having about 12 points today cos i binned it. Any road up (bad northern accent again) I've been drooling over Lee Sharpe and Mark Owen tonight (sad sad sad) so missed out on all the good gossip, and now I'm off to bed. Claire, ups downs and in betweenies, you'll get through them and have a fabulous wedding day and you'll look like a princess....and we will want to see lots of pictures Night all JaxII

Hi karen, *****drum roll***** Yes i found the dress and ordered it too....AAAGGGH!! Quite scary really, not sure if it was 'THE ONE' but i really liked it and my friend said i looked WOW in it which was nice and the woman in the shop said i looked stunning in it. i thought i looked nice in it, but i am not one to blow my trumpet if you know what i mean. It is a Mori Lee but not the one i showed you all. It's actually nicer than that one. In Ivory satin with lots of crystally beads. very comfortable. the train is lovely organza over satin with crystals sewn on. it is very pretty. i am waitning for my friend to email it to me so that i can show you. the woman in the shop said that it was from the couture range so probably wouldn't be on the internet, but i'll have a look anyway. I accept my telling off and i was very good all weekend other than that. i am feeling a little better but now feel like i may have sinusitis as i have pressure headache which gets worse when i try (and Fail) to blow my nose. Go weighed at CDC this morning and i was 12 st 10lbs so going down. which after the curry incident isn't too bad at all. how are you doing? i crept on your thread earlier to check up on you i am guessing it is safe at the moment seriously though you are doing really well. keep it up!! Cant wait to see a picture Claire, i bet it is stunning, come on hurry up with the piccie. Now you have ordered you dress you definately need to be a good girl, i know you will get there and you are doing so well now, obviously 790 is the way to go for you.
I am doing ok, changed to the wendy plan on ww as from today, changing the points up and down daily to see if that helps shift these few lbs. Spoke to a friend of mine on Skype in Australia today, she hadnt seen me in 2 years and the first thing both her and her husband said, was wow how much weight have you lost, you look great. That was a bit of a boost. Just need to stick with the no smoking lark now and try not to eat to compensate for the cravings. I dont know if i can do it, but i will give it a damn good try. Trying to book a birthday party for the kids for May and going a little OTT with an entertainer and the only way i can pay for it is to give up smoking, so doing it for my kids in more ways than one. Also ordered myself some face painting books and paints yesterday, gonna teach myself to do it so i can paint all the kids faces at their party. Think my two are gonna be guinea pigs for the next couple of months.

That's a good idea to learn how to face paint, i might try that myself. i think it would be a very useful and cool skill to have. Ok i am going to show my ignorance here. it may come as a surprise to you to learn but i am not the technical whiz i would have everyone believe. I don't know my ipods from my mp3's so please pray tell what is a skype because i have heard of this phenomenon recently bt have absolutely no idea what it is/does it sounds very technical. i think the trouble with giving up smoking is that you don't really see any benefits externally and so it must make it harder. when i lost my first stone i felt great and i started to notice the difference in my clothes but you don't get that when you give up smoking. although they do say your skin and hair condition improves. the benefits are mainly internal. so i think to keep focussed you need to write a list of all the benefits of giving up and leave them somewhere you will see them. Maybe it will help to reinforce to you why you are doing it. it is such a boost when people say how great you look, isn't it. there will be lots of people at my wedding who i haven't seen since before i lost my weight and i think half of them won't recognise me. which i have mixed feelings about. part of me feels excited about it, but the other part of me feels embarrassed about it.i don't want people saying wow you've lost loads of weight on my wedding day, i want them saying wow you look fantastic. does tht make sense. also i think i have issues as it is about being centre of attention as it is without the added you've lost weight comments. Anyway, you are doing very well. just take it 1 day at a time. if you fall off the wagon don't beat yourself up about it, just dust yourself off and keep trying. you'll get there in the end Karen and Jax will get there too. Awww thanks karen. Skype sounds cool. except that you'd have to be careful not to pick your nose while you're on the phone to them. ( i am so out of touch). Today i am still not feeling great. this flu has really knocked me for six. yesterday at work i felt awful all day. and not really with it. i feel headachy and ny nose is still blocked but at the same time very productive. Too much information i know...sorry Anyway, today i went to the gym. for the first time in two weeks. i didn't really feel like going but seeing as i am paying for it monthly i don't think i can justify not going. and i am hoping that i will trick my body into thinking i am all better.....hasn't worked so far though...never mind. Anyway, other than my snotty nose i am doing ok. haven't got much taste buds so not feeling especially hungry. which is probably a good thing as feeling a bit fed up today. Going to look at a house later, it's a second viewing we looked at it at the weekend and it is really lovely. but very very expensive and actually quite a bit out of our budget. but i could be a home we could live in for many years which would be lovely. So if we make an offer and get it, then we'll be getting married and movinghouse in the same year, as well as everything else that is going on, we don't like to do things by halves, do we? How is every one else getting on? Hope you're all being good? Claire x

Hi Claire, do you live off stress hunni, because i couldnt imagine arranging a wedding and moving house in the same year. Hope you get it if its what you want. We will be moving later in the year too. We have had a house for the past 6 years but have had it rented out, have now given tenant notice to be out by end of September. The house is way too small for us, but we can live there for a bit while we do it up ready to sell, it needs new carpets, old fireplace taken out and a new kitchen. We already had new windows put in it at the end of last year. Its only 2 bedrooms so luckily the kids are used to being in the same room anyway. Hope we arent there too long, need to wait and see if we get accepted for Australia and then we can just sell it and go there, otherwise it will be a pub somewhere so we will sell it and probably buy closer to where ever we get the pub. Tim gets out the army in January after 22 years service, its a worrying time for us at the moment not knowing what or where we are gonna be. WW going ok, got on the scales this morning and 2lb down this week, but i do tend to fluctuate alot during the week so hope its still showing a loss when i do official weigh on Monday. Hope you are feeling better soon, there are so many horrible bugs going around this year , no wonder with the weather changing so much. Karenxx

Hi Karen, i am sure you'll all get accepted for OZ. I sometimes wonder if i do live off stress. the year Hannah was born we sold our flat and bought a house and then had hannah. all in the same year. it's just the way things worked out really. And to be honest most of our stuff is still in boxes since moving last year. so it wouldn't be too difficult to move house. although we've already agreed to keep the rental going a nother couple of months in the event of us completing on a house around the time of the wedding. i don't think i could move house and get married in the same week or anything like that, then i would really be fit for the lunatic asylum... It sounds like a good back up plan to buy a pub. have either of you got any experience in running pubs or is it just something that takes your fancy. we need some really good pubs in this country with a bit of life in them. i must get off this computer i have washing to hang out! Catch you later claire x
