mornin everyone!
1st day over and got to say it wasn't too bad
early days i know!
just wondered - all i was told about ketosis was that i may get bad breath! but i have a feeling its more than that?
i am not a sweet loving person so at the mo i have soup for every meal. might have to try others though!
managed to cook evening meal for family and sit down with my soup at same time.at least there was a different subject at the dinner table other than football and golf!! (male household)
nice to know there are others out there going through the same!
p.s. i am a sweet loving person actually - just not in the food sense if u know what i mean!!

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice please.

Generally, TOTM started on Tuesday. My CD said I might not have anything or they may stop due to significant weight loss. However, mines has gone the opposite way, and this time I'm extremely heavy, which I never am.
Plus yesterday and today I have felt really thirsty so I have been able to drink more than the 3 litres of water, but I've hardly been to the loo. On a normal day if I drank that I'd be there every 10/15 mins!! My stomach feels so bloated, obviously I'm retaining loads of water.

Just wondered if anyone else had any problems with TOTM while doing CD/LL?

Mumsy i'm excatly the same, my peroid was late as well, so i was getting worried, its very very heavy. sorry if TMI but normally i wear super and change 2hly currently i'm using superplus and changing hourly. I'm also more thirsty but not got any other symptoms, have to say i am prob more weepy than normal though! BUT i'm not had really bad pain this time which is nice!

I know others in my group have mentioned wierd goings on with thier TOTM too, so maybe it is all related. One thing is for sure, Galaxy chocolate shares must have dropped by a third this month LOL

Hi everyone!

Well I had my weigh in tonight and... i stayed the same. I know that its been totm, but I have been so good this week!
Now CDC is on holiday for the next 2 weeks, and my hubby as from Friday is on 3 weeks hols. These next few weeks are going to be soooo testing ... I need some positive thinking!

I think we are going away for a week, albeit self catering, I said to CDC that I would be happy having CD for brekkie and lunch, then have a protein/veg dinner, which I am, but if we eat out... its going to be sooo difficult watching hubby eating what he wants.. and passing up the chance of desert! At the end of the day it is my only holiday...

Right positive vibes... I can do this.. I can do this... I CAN BE THIN!!
The one thing that may keep me going is that I have a big night out on the 17th Oct and I'd love to lose as much as possible before then.

How has everyone else managed with holidays?

Hi mumsy, you will probably have a really good loss next week,so please dont be disheartened,if you are sticking to the diet you will be burning fat and may be retaining water, have you measured yourself you have probably lost inches.
Please dont make the same mistakes I have in the past where I have given in to temptation. You wont care at the time but boy do you wish you hadnt done it after.
I am restarting for the last time,I went to my mums at the weekend,I was only on day 2 they had roast duck, and a crumble for dinner which I cooked as my mum was making seat covers for our camper van. I went and sat over the other side of the room and ate my soup,I was drooling I can tell you,but after they had finished I really wasnt bothered.
I have a christening Sunday, and a party for my 40th in 2 weeks,I am dreading it as I fully intend not to eat or drink.
In my pre restart state I would have been planning to eat even writing the shopping list for my party food to cater for my own tastes!!Oh also i have to do all the food for my party.
Anyway please dont think I am preaching to you I just know how hard it is to restart,I have been restarting for the last 3 years.I have decided that I want to be slim more than I want to eat,no matter what.

Thank you Julie for your reply.

I am glad to report I am now feeling much better about everything and am absolutely on track with the diet. I know if I blow it now, then I'm only going to feel worse, so I'm staying positive and I WILL be thin again. I am actually quite proud of myself because on Monday night when I typed my last post I was all for giving up.

Just a shame my CDC on hols next week, but I will do a weigh in at home as our scales are exactly the same to see how I'm doing!

Julie, you have been ever so good, its so difficult when people are eating 'normal food' in front of you. I have a big night out next month but I have decided that will be my 'treat' night. I dont go out very often as have a 2 year old and hardly any babysitters! So want to make the most of it. Up until that date I am going to be sooo good and lose as many lbs as possible!!
Let us know how the christening etc goes.

Hi everyone!

Not been on here for a wee while as been off on 2 weeks holidays.
I decided the night before I went that I was going to have the 2 weeks off the diet. I think if I hadnt I would have started to resent the diet because everyone else we were on holiday with would be eating and drinking what the wanted and I wouldnt be. Plus its 2 weeks out of 52, i have another 50 weeks of the year to be good!! Well thats what I tell myself!

No seriously back on track as from tomorrow, I know the diet works well, I just need to get back into Cambridge mode, my 2 weeks of fun are over!

What did everyone else do when they went on holiday?

Hi All!

Well here I am on Day 3 of my restart and all going fine. I am actually finding it easier to restart than I found it doing the diet for the first time.

Have appt on Monday to see my CD again so will get official weigh in then.

How is everyone else getting on?
